Happy New Year to everyone. I don't really have a message other than gratitude. Thank you for being along for the ride even if I've produced nothing as of late. Hopefully 2025 I'll release the civilian car project but I don't foresee any updates to playable vehicles. I've kind of run out of ideas. Anything that we add now (apart from helicopters) is just another variation or a vehicle which serves no purpose ingame. I'll consider my options but right now I'm thinking of a break from modding this new year. I'll come back when I have more motivation, time and ideas. I'll still keep to my promises no matter how late they come, at least.

Alright besties. We're moving again. After a long long time of wading and wallowing in a lake of indeceison, my ass has been whooped into shape and some meaningful progress has been made with the team. We finally decided on a map area! 1:1 maps are hard but composite maps are hard too. After flip flopping between a dozen different ideas since the thread began, we finally decided to create a fictionalized, scaled, representation of the northeast section of Harlem, centering around the NYPD's 25th Precinct. By finally finding an area to focus on, we've unjammed the creative block we've all been suffering by trying to focus on so much to make. Now, we have specific, clear goals for what we're including, and with that we can move forward at an accelerated pace. So, to contradict my previous statement, expect some more screenshots and overall a lot more activity on the thread.

I have very good news. The mysterious LAFD Ford Aerostar van has been found. Facebook retirees claim it is an EMS Supervisor vehicle. It shall be added to the mod. Thank you Sandra Lee.

Spend as much time as you want outside this summer, you won't miss anything from us. We're a group of incredibly busy perfectionists. We work slowly and second-guess ourselves constantly. Progress and teasers will drop throughout the summer as often as I'm reminded to try and work on something.

I don't really know what I'm doing anymore. I'm procrastinating the release of the mod, by making even more content for it. I'm trying to find motivation to actually model the remaining NPC passenger cars. In the mean time, these completed truck models will have to be settle? Have I sent these before? Maybe I did already. This is all I could come up with, in the last few months. After some consultation with GTA modders, I am happy to announce the confirmation of an Airport PD Caprice, a 1992. This is the best we can find. I am hopeful for a better picture to be found someday. Who knows what else is out there.

Surprise, It's still going! Since my last development photo I built a new computer at the start of 2022 which didn't have a drive to install the disk version of EM4 so it was only until recently I bought an external one to install it. I come back with a shot from the map which shows an electricity substation along with a construction site behind and more New York housing.

It's been a long time coming. I've wanted this for a while and I finally have the mental fortitude to actually make it. I'm looking forward to when I'm able to put the equipment and paint on this thing. It's gonna be so rad.

Most of them have been lost to Discord. This is the only non-destructive image link that I have. Unfortunately it is a few months old.

Hi guys, Long time no post.. Been a member now for 18 years and a month. Still try and play EM4 Deluxe, emergency 20 and the new Emergency games on IOS and steam when I have time.. This would have gotten you executed when EMP was in its prime. That being said summer is here and as a member of the mod team I plan on spending as much of it intoxicated on my deck and maybe doing some traveling, I highly suggest you do the same and don't waste your summer

Hey, just wondering since it's been a long while since anything has been posted or said, what's the status looking like? What still needs to be finished? Is there anything new? Have the creators been busy? Has this project gone dormant? There's no spite behind this message, just genuine curiosity. I've been following this project since it started and I think I speak for just about everyone when I say that I would absolutely love this mod to come out one day, this is by far the greatest modification the EM4 community has ever seen- It would be terrible to see it fall short. Talking about the station panel to just spawn a person, not dispatching a vehicle, I assume? Line 87 in the LAPoliceStation script: if (numOfficers >= 5) Change that number to the max amount of MPPD officers you want. Line 166 controls the Ranger limit.

Oh trust me, I get the growing up part. I don't have the free time I once did. However, the few remaining projects tend to have like 5 very accomplished devs working in Collab. They post an update once in a blue moon basically just to tease us of projects that will just waste away and never get to be enjoyed by the actual community. Hell I bet we see GTA6 released before we even see just a bug fix patch for Montana Mod 2.5 2.5 years after the release of 2.5(not the original although that would be nice too). How was the core fanbase alienated? I'd say we are the main ones breathing life support in to this forum. And yes forums have being more and more obsolete but check out some of the GTA mod forums. More then alive and well. Even some of the Sim City communities or Cities XL forums are absolutely thriving still.

I have been working on a project for a few months now off and on. I have decided to rework and fix some issues for the Boston Mod by FINN. I do plan on a release, assuming I am able to receive permissions from the proper folks. All original credits can be found in "EM4 Boston SubMod read me credits". This error comes from the LA mod. I do not know how to fix it, nor is it a priority of mine to fix it. I personally have never used the feature, so it is not on my radar. I woke up this morning and suddenly remembered I forgot to share anything I've done. oops. I'll start posting the backlog. Stating with these edits of Itchboy's Ecto-One from a few years ago. Itchboy is to be credited here for everything except the skin and the small edits. In the future, I hope to show off more content made specifically for this mod

Just do it. Realistically, what is EM-C gonna do? Gatekeeping a mod which is extremely mid (nobody dares to admit it) and so unbelievably off in basically every way imaginable is just plain insulting to everybody who lives in the Dade area. This mod is a fever dream of somebody who has no interest in accuracy and completely disregards the actual look and feel of Miami / Miami Beach. EM-C made his own weird version of Miami with this mod - How this has taken over 10 years is still absolutely beyond me. I understand the map texture itself was unchangable until I released my reverse-engineering tool, but it is so incredibly basic and inaccurate. I've talked to A LOT of people in the community over the past 12 months regarding this mod, and nearly every single person agrees (while not always publicly) that this mod is... "not as it should be". Everything about it is wrong. From the bottom of everybodies heart: showcase the edits! Downvotes just prove my point btw. Gatekeeping sucks.

Hey Shauney, Pretty unlikely that anyone's going to make a mod for you. That said, there's plenty of resources and support to learn to make your own! I'd recommend reading over some of the topics on the forum and learning how to make your own version of a West Metro mod. That said, in an effort to motivate you, I'd like to share a reskin I made of an Itchboy model I borrowed from the West Falls modification. In an evening of boredom, I made a Safety 35, even though I have no mods based anywhere near Colorado... Model credits to Itchboy and SlateDragon1, skinned by myself.

Some updates. I hope to have something out by next year, but Montana will still be my priority. The Diplomat (center) will be released in plain white form later. The 1997 and 1994 CVPI's were uploaded the other week as well.
