ERS Berlin (Release v1.0)

Hey everyone, last night I manage to install the mod on my brother's computer. I can't install on mine, something just show's up, and if I click the "X" button, whole operation will exit.

I just wanted to ask few question's and say something about this mod. So..

1. If the cars could get a little bit faster, it would be great.

2. How can I redirect traffic? I've seen Mr. Kaizer said you need to press shift and choose start position. Little strange for me.

3. How Can I select/call tow truck, except callint it by the police officer?

4. It would be good, when some accident happens, it should say what is it. It show's up for a second and than dissapers, and when I come to the accident, I don't know what should I do. It should be some marks, when you click on it, it brings you to the scene, like in all other mods.

5. Sometimes(not always), in the right corner some body show's up, with marked, for example, head, right leg, etc. but I don't know what does it mean? Shall I do something about it or just transport it to the hospital?

6. I had a case, I couldn't solve it. I had 2 more cases, so I wasn't watching at it, when I was finished with other two, I went to the scene, but nothing was happening there? Some bees were coming out of trash can?

7. About the case with the animal attack, I always shoot the dog and than call firefighters to remove the animal. I don't call some unit(forgot the name) to "arrest" the dog.

And just one more thing.. They should have done this mod like other mod's (Installing), like LA mod, London mod, etc.

All in all, the mod is great, and very addicting.

I have an issue I responded the Swift Water Rescue to a person drowning and the people got out of the car but they couldnt get in the water and the guy died.

I have an issue I responded the Swift Water Rescue to a person drowning and the people got out of the car but they couldnt get in the water and the guy died.

One of the three persons in the car is a rescue swimmer. He can enter the water ;-)

I updated the first post with some tips and tricks:

General tips and tricks:

  • Vehicles can be towed by the police. Just select a police officer and click on the vehicle.
  • You can dispatch units either with the button or by clicking on a free area anywhere on the map with the left mouse button.
  • The "shift" key changes the priority of some commands. For example it helps you picking up the valve and entering the DLK.
  • You can also transport uninjured people in the RTW.
  • If you don`t manage it to finish an event look for objects or persons on the map that have to be transported.
  • Rediricting the traffic works best on streets with multiple lanes in each direction. The end of the redirection should be near the orignal path of the cars redirected. Othewise they will delete themselves.
  • The stations Tiergarten and Mitte (BF, FF) arrive at first on the scene in most areas of the map.
  • In ERS Berlin you have only a limited amount of water and air. Keep that in mind!
  • When a homicide occurs it is really important to secure evidence. Especially weapons!
  • When confronted with a hazmat situation try first to find the source of contamination and seal it.
  • The doctors car automatically escorts the ambulance to the nearest hospital. Just enter the RTW with the doctor and then send both units home with the "Back to Base" button.
  • Animals can be transported in the KLEF. Firemen can pick up dead animals.
  • In the mod directory XML/bfreeplay.xml you can find a file where you can change the frequency of events, the ingame time and the weather.

1. If the cars could get a little bit faster, it would be great. - Responsetimes are realistic, but I agree it can be a bit slow since it's Em4.

2. How can I redirect traffic? I've seen Mr. Kaizer said you need to press shift and choose start position. Little strange for me. - You chose an officer, press the redirect, left click where you want it to start (on the vehicle first in the jam is what I usually do, then like polygons left click where you want the cars to go. Make sure they get to the same road as they come from, this does not work as the regular Em4 redirect. Now hold shift and left click on the ground where you want the vehicles to stop following your redirection and go independent.

3. How Can I select/call tow truck, except callint it by the police officer? - You simply can't.

Shall I do something about it or just transport it to the hospital? - This is just to show the injury. You can ignore it if you want to, it's just a nice feature which makes it realistic.

Some bees were coming out of trash can? - Could have been a missing person or something else. Not everything is visible. Just look again.

And just one more thing.. They should have done this mod like other mod's (Installing), like LA mod, London mod, etc.

All in all, the mod is great, and very addicting.

Very good mod :D

But there are some things to change:

1. When vehicles go back to base, they move way too slowly.

2. Sometimes fires go out by themselves (Firetruck is too slow to make it there :P )

3. Human AI is dumb: they dont move away from fires and just die in smoke, unless some policeman will direct them away (and also gets injured). This happened behind the Brandenburg gates where are bushes and people standing around it...

4. Although my PC is quite powerful, it still gets a bit laggy at nights.

Very good mod :D

This happened behind the Brandenburg gates where are bushes and people standing around it...Agreed but this is not the ERS fault but the producers error!I dont think it can be fixed without making a new game!

4. Although my PC is quite powerful, it still gets a bit laggy at nights. Works fine for me and I dont have a powerful computer.

Has anyone had the chemical events? Does anyone find them almost impossible to complete because after a while, you can put anymore people in the decon tent.

i've only ever had a chemical event where one person was contaminated :s sorry.. but does anyone know what the chemical detection unit actually does??

Yes, i had a terrorist attack with some kind of chemical weapon.. Couldnt complete because people actually spawned at the contamination.
