  1. Lights and skins are good. The only issue I have is that it appears the Volvo police car is floating.
  2. What's the difference between the LA Mod Replacements and my ambulance pack? Is there some kind of consistency issue I have? Or is it because the LA Ambulances have no front doors?
  3. They have to be the same type otherwise they wont open at the same time. Well...they will open when emptycar command is executed. They wont though when individual paramedic or stretcher teams exit the vehicle. They wont work either through the entercar command. The LA Ambulances have no person doors because of the setup Hoppah used wherein the Paramedic and Stretcher team would enter the rear doors. Unfortunately, this meant that when the paramedic exits the ambulance, he ends up spawning in the front because there is no door. They spawn in the front because of EM4 hardcoding.
  4. When its finished. And no, there wont be a police cruiser in this mod. Civil cars only, as the name states. Just make one for your own mod or something.

  9. Thanks. *Smoke On The Water plays in the background* So I found an unfinished model of a Ford LTD on the Download Center. Here's what I've done with it so far. It will make it into the mod because it needs at least one classic car. Just not sure which vehicle to replace it with. Original model by Angel Studios. Sourced by Paul Spain. Not really good with old american cars. If there is anything wrong with it, let me know.

It was done by using OGRE Scene Importer in 3dsMax. I don't have any of those programs (and EM5 won't work on my PC) and don't know shit on what to do because the instructions are in German. But anyone with time and skill has my permission to convert my models into EM5. The pics do say something. Existing EM4 models WON'T look out of place in EM5. The Passat model in that picture looks on level with the person models and the EM5 RW Model.

  14. I might as well admit that I'm using it in conjunction with MikeyPI's random car script. I can't share it because I don't have his permission of course. The script basically spawns either a Taurus, Caprice or UMPC version when I send a regular CVPI through the game's default unit selection screen. I can still spawn CVPI's but I modified it so that CVPI's still spawn, but at a lower rate since CVPI's are dead now.
  15. Take note of my ambulance pack. The rear doors have been grouped. The front doors aren't.
  16. Manhattan mod comes to mind. There was some drama when Hoppah and MikeyPI wanted their tow truck models out of the mod. It eventually turned out to be an accidental inclusion.
  17. Yeah that is correct. Grouping them makes them open/close at the same time. The script function though is limited. It opens all doors of a certain type at once.
  18. Have this working in the WIP version of Montana Mod. I will need bama and Dyson's permission to release it, but I can show it. Utilizes heavilly modified stretcher script. Ambulances are coded to have one and only one stretcher. Once you get it, you need to return it otherwise you wont be able to get a stretcher from said vehicle. Paramedic can lift and drop patient on ground. He can also leave the stretcher on the ground. Once the patient is treated, paramedic can put the patient in the ambulance. He is unable to drop the stretcher at this point. He will put the patient in the ambulance and then he is free to do whatever. Note that one cannot get a stretcher if a patient is in the ambulance. The patient cannot be removed from the ambulance either. EM4 is hardcoded to prevent this. The main issue with the script is that the person is never properly set on the stretcher. Another issue is that it causes lag because the script updates the location of the person every half second. Third, this line ends up spamming one's logfile causing it to grow into 30mb after an hour or so of gameplay. Rotation of GameObject: -0.886034 0.463620 0.000000 -0.463620 -0.886034 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 1.000000This logging cannot be disabled unfortunately. The script isnt MP compatible either because it would probably crash servers due to the insane number of processes it needs to do.
  19. I agree with your sentiment. I only came along to make models because I was getting bored of the LA Mod content being thrown around along with bits and pieces of the Montana Mod and Nnico's 3d Models. But I do not agree that scripting is useless. The other side of those models would be to make them functional ingame. That's where scripting comes along. As someone who can do both, I'd say that they are of equal importance.
  20. Looks amazing. Though the fact that my converted F350 cab looks square-ish bothers me a bit. Maybe its the new rear bed being so nice compared to the front? If this is what you are trying to replicate, I'd be more than happy to lend my services to you guys to improve it further. It would also be a good idea to update the Moddb page with all of the new reworked PD units.
  21. Yeah. Nnico's F350 was getting repetetive IMO, so I decided to do these ambulances just for that. It's great that you find the ambulances refreshing and new. Hope to see them in more mods. And I don't think godlike status is deserving to anyone but Hoppah, bama and team NYCERU. They are the ones who jump started the American/Canadian EM4 modding scene. The only thing I can credit myself for is that every vehicle in the Whelen lights website picture can now be put in the game Left to Right: Taurus, Caprice, Tahoe, Ram, Durango, Charger(by bama, Ausavin and Nnico), Explorer IMPORTANT: My ambulance pack http://forum.emergency-planet.com/files/file/572-ambulance-pack/ has been updated to fix the wheel bug on the F550 ambulance. The new E350 roof has been added alongside the recent one.
  22. You deserve a medal. This is how I did it, except that most of the new patrol cars are "new instances". Meaning, they don't replace the original CVPI's
