I can only think of one thing like you mention here ´ that you edited that with paint.net did you check what format was that material texture? I had same problem when im trying edit texture of some lightbars and this was alpha texture . So i ended with blank lightbars But when i safe again with Tga. format this was my fix i learned more of this from modding games like (Gta IV) when LCPDFR and ELS was a true game changer But lets come back to the topic and possible fix ´ you need some 3D programs ´ I´m use Blender and import that material and check if has any texture apply on it , and make sure that texture and material are in same file , hope i´m hear more from you and good luck

(Update Notes) & (The Improves) 1# Underway fixing and correct size of some vehicles 2# Removed prototypes files that was missing and lead to crash 3# Optimize some models taht fixing gameplay 4# Emergency lights optimize 5# Removed some scripts that working wrong or was ussles 6# Police force got additonal x2 new wehicles 7# Removed the newer silve blue police units that no fits this mod era 8# There is still some bugs on the map to correct that can lead to crash 9# Gameplay was done and *10 missions was complete without single crash or error / before mod improves and fix would crash after *5 missions 10# The coroners was removed for now cuz game crashed Thats enough for now hope this make this submod better Regards (TheVolume) I can bring this to life regards

There is method but you don't need ' this is mod based on existing one Los Angeles Mod *thats why is call Submods* Author (Itchyboy) just change it to make it feel 80s , The Helicopter you se is just leftovers from the modern one wich present newer units from orginal mod ´ so they be removed in future versions of this *80s Submods* cuz they dont fit we need 80s helicopters like *Bell 206* but this is up to the main creator hope this help ' But if you want them so bad *CHP & LASD* then we can discus this later Regards (TheVolume)

No but I have been playing for a little while. Great work on the mod! I wish knew how to edit the blue lights are wild but way down on the CPU windows 7 XPS 420 Quad 9600 Ge force GTX 1050 Ti 4G Ram dedicated video card and 8GB ram. Need to tone down the lights. If I had windows 8 and up I could do it on blenda:) Question does any body know what file to extract under the Steam app Emergency 5 or 20? I down loaded mod the off steam. It is the patch and mod installer for 20 years_update_4_0_1.installer

Well I guess either this mod is not being updated or either scraped. A shame because I would've liked to have used this mod when it was released.

It's a shame that so many projects just went to waste. I agree it can be time consuming, but they could have released a half finished project over say GitHub where members like myself could contribute patches and such over time or help further development in some way. Like the original NY mod. They showed screenshots and such for ages and it never saw a release.

It's a shame they did relay good work, tho it can be every time consuming and with family and life and other projects can present a massive challenges at times. Good luck guys!!!
