  1. You need to type in the cheat code first before any of the shortcuts work. For Em4 standard and 911FR: Type in "magic". For Em4 Deluxe, the code is "fairz"

  3. It appears I've been mistaken. The park on the map is state owned. US Park rangers would not have any jurisdiction in such an area. It would belong to Montana State Park Rangers, but I cannot find an image of their vheicles anywhere. I'd like to ask if people have any private archives or image sources that may have that vehicle in them. Are the duties of state park rangers the same as the national ones?

  5. The credits on this project is outdated and does not reflect the content currently in the mod. Please update it. I recognize it as the readme of one of the Mentor mod projects, please include all the authors from the new content you put in.
  6. Copenhagen mod uses a custom freeplay script that simulates its own events instead of using the Em4 native events. Cant compare that to the average mod.
  7. Thanks for adding those in. My reasoning for requesting credits in the imgur links is because you're also posting these images to FB. And as for the lightbar, do what you wanna do. The new USAR uses a similar lightbar anyway, might as well grandfather it into the USAR.
  8. If possible, add credits to that WIP shot, or at least put it in the imgur image. The lightbar on that rig is an LED equipped MX7000 and not a Whelen brand one.
  9. I appreciate people's suggestions. For the time being I'll only pick out a limited selection and go with that. All those calls may be different IRL but in Em4, it devolves into the same basic routine of load and go when it comes to injured victims, or using the chase command on escaping suspects. I'll be picking out the ones that actually involve new elements such as search, investigation, an cleanup. Those are the three main things that I'll be placing emphasis on because they're elements of the original Em1 and Em2 games that have been missed in Em4. HAZMAT is also something that can be expanded on as well. Due to the simplsitic nature of Em4's medical system, I can only have a very limited amount of varied calls. There wont be any in depth medical simulation like the RTS Bieberfelde mod because that is way beyond my abilities as a modder. Maybe we can see such a mod someday but Northview: Paramedics has been cancelled unfortunately. I like the idea of having untreatable time senesetive patients though. It seems like the most doable option that people have suggested. When it comes to fires, the town of Monida pass doesnt even have tall buildings to begin with, but I'll see if having functional roof venting would actually help improve the gameplay experience. Interior fires will stay as is because of Em4's fire system being unmoddable. I'm interested in trying to implement Hoppah's search house script to be a requirement in building fires, we'll see how that goes. Most calls in that real life area are actually grass fires, or car accidents. It is claimed in one article by a firefighter that they haven't had a fatal house fire in over 15 years, so crazy calls like those will be put on the lower priority. Policing is something I'd like to expand on, because it seems to be the neglected element of the game along with the TEC units. I place priority on those calls that dont involve arrests, or just require the player to ask around with a few people. More serious events like hostage takings will just be programmed to be the same as default Em4. Regarding the custom callout menu, I had to remove it due to instability issues, as seen in the videos. Until I can figure out a workaround to using the default missionscript 'intercept' functions, I will have to rely on the default dispatcher style menus, and disabling that left side menu entirely.
  10. London mod is perhaps less optimized. Its rather unfair comparing LA mod to alot of mods though. LA mod was extremely optimized for its time 8 years ago, and still beats out a lot of mods in terms of performance. I wont go into detail as to why modern mods are alot less optimized, but all mods of that era were made in the days when computing power wasnt as good as it is today. Modders had less headroom to implement high res textures, high poly models, and constant running scripts. Those mods (at the time) ran about the same as the London mod for example these days.
  11. The countryside/rural map. Now a question for people. I would like to ask, what specific calls do the US Park Rangers handle? Another gameplay video, this thime the call actually completed thankfully but it CTD'd soon after when the script was 'clearing out' the data from the completed call.
  12. This is the missionscript freeplay concept that will be going into the Montana mod. The video highlights one negative aspect in the code, that a simple medical call like this can become very montonous due to the lack of much else to do. The video ends in a jarring way at the end due to the game crashing right as the callout ended. Something that I need to sort out obviously, but I at least have something working for starters. Expect a better video once I sort out these programming issues. A lot of features such as the custom dispatch menu will be removed for optimization purposes. No point in releasing something that takes 20 minutes to load, or crashes every 15 minutes because the player just happen to accidentally press the wrong button at the wrong time. That would invalidate the very point of updating this mod, which was to fix the optimization and CTD issues it currently has.
  13. DL it from the German forums and install it as per their instructions. You need to have pre existing knowledge on how to go into the Em4 editor and modify the prototypes.
  14. @greendaystjimmy Double posting is against site rules. Be careful next time. The ped model needs to be modded so the hat is a bit lower on the Y axis. It should be a bit lower, about on level with the eyebrows like one would wear any hat.
  15. You can go into the Em4 editor and remove the fire childs from the building itself. I've had fires there and its relatively easy to control. Just make sure you send more than enough reinforcements and perhaps an ambulance or two in case your units get caught in explosions.
  16. In future, dont play moderator. We're around for a reason. Just press the report button on the post and we'll take care of it. Whether you warn them in advance or not doesnt change the fact that we will take some kind of action.

  19. You cannot install the mod because progress on it has been halted. The mod is unfinished, there is nothing to download. In future, do not post in topics that have not been active for more than a year like this one.

  21. I have forgotten one major thing to explain to people. Once the mod is setup to use the misisonscript FP, it is no longer MP compatible. If the missionscript goes through, we have no intention on making a separate MP version. I will be adding another poll so people can decide.

  23. Go into the largest resolution and put the scene editor into the center of the screen. Go into a slightly smaller resolution and test again. Move the scene editor to the center again. Finally go into your preferred low resolution and move it to the final position.
  24. F1 key. If that still doesnt work, it means that your editor window has gotten 'stuck' outside of the bounds of your monitor. I believe the only way to fix it is to delete the Em4 config.
