  1. Nice work raf, you've done this one solo and it looks and plays great. I actually really enjoyed playing this version because there's no distractions, just get to knock down some fires which is what I've been missing in the game as we've got so concerned with models and maps and various little gameplay tweaks. Feels nice to be back at just the fire. Anyway the multiple floor system works great pretty impressed with that too hope to see it in Brooklyn mod too.   4. Just an update, progress has halted whilst I sort out Uni work and personal stuff but the mod has still progressed really well and promo videos and gameplay videos will be put out in the coming months. So the mod's not died or anything don't worry x
  5. These old versions are gradually being taken down as to not have to try and provide tech support for the numerous versions we've released. x

  7. Sounds good, I've never been to Rotherham but I live over in Leeds, my Dad lives in Chesterfield and friends live in Doncaster and Sheffield, so I've been to pretty much the rest of South Yorkshire though haha. Good luck x
  8. Very nice, my main compliment is definitely the quality of your map and texture, I think my only constructive criticism would be to rethink the roads texture, looks too cartoon like for such a beautiful map excellent work x

  10. Yeah watch yourself most people will blow a casket. However obviously phase 1 will be released once it's done, looking at months but not too long. It basically needs to just be finished up with the last details and tidy up the UI etc, but the core of the mod is pretty much done for the first phase. The second phase will see additional units and more unique to Miami buildings. But then after that it'll be sent to several testers, selected by me so please don't all bombard me with messages I'll pick from people I know and are experienced. Then I'll start work on some promo stuff including some exclusive gameplay vids from a couple of guys I know and obviously some cool videos and pics to boost the hype. Then it'll be good to be released to y'all. Also progress is still full steam ahead, but I want the remainder of work to be a surprise to the community rather than users knowing the ins and outs before it's even released. Dyson x
  11. PD? FD? EMS? Which are you on about here? Each script is pretty different, but they're all down to the LAToFirestation/PoliceStation/Hospital scripts, they're pretty complicated at first but once you understand basic script it's easy to follow. If you simply want to substitute one vehicle into a designated parking space editing the const chars at the top of the script will usually do the job - e.g changing BAY#1 from the prototype of one unit to another. However changing the way in which units park, for example getting PD to park in individual parking spots rather than just all facing the same direction, or creating new parking bays is where it becomes tricky and requires some knowledge. This was a really quick overview on how these things work so hopefully it gives you an idea.

    Help with quint

    Quints wont work without a script set up because you're combining both the TLF (Ladder function) and the GTF (General Pumper) unit types into one unit type. The game becomes confused when you try to do this or if certain childs are mislabeled or missing as these childs are essential to the unit type functioning correctly (e.g. all ladders must have a ladder bucket) so the game just crashes. Hope this info helps.

    Yep all mods run off the same multiplayer system set out in the original game, so long as you have a VPN system set up like Hamachi you and a friend or as stated a clan can play any mod in MP.

  15. Didn't think of taking any screenshots until the aftermath, so just a single screen, but officer shot during a bank robbery, officers not required on scene rushed to the hospital to give blood and check on their fellow officer.
  16. Yeah I'd been looking at a few, gotta make this mod semi-fictional don't wanna go the same route as Manhattan and spend forever dwelling on the tiny realisms but yeah thanks for the info
  17. Well for now here's the work in progress hospital, I've chosen Miami Mercy General Hospital. Model credit to the LA team, I think this is a building that will be kept as an LA reskin. It's all set up, features a 3 building complex, the main one in shot is the ER and General building, then the other two are specialized buildings (just for looks). All parking is across the road in a multi-storey parking to minimize land waste. Thoughts/comments/suggestions as ever. x
  18. Debating including Miami Beach units (which is where the mod is actually located) how would people feel about the same units reskinned as Miami Beach Rescue and Miami Beach PD, any preferences or arguments for or against? x
  19. South Yorkshire, so where abouts is it being mainly based? I spend a lot of my time in Sheffield and currently live in West Yorkshire so this mod is actually the closest anyone's created thus far. Good look with it but you're going to need to learn the skills. Posting skins is ok but I think people would prefer to see them on the models Dyson x

Yeah it is pretty grand, it's the miami beach station (check it out on google) I was hesitant about such a large station but it only takes up one city block which would only be filled with residential area anyway. I really wanted to change the emphasis from Manhattan (my previous maps) to Miami, one of the main differences is building size, Miami is obviously larger buildings, with a lot more "green" areas and not very tall, which I hope distinguishes it from the Manhattan feel. I'm hoping to capture the feel of the city as well as I hope I did NYC, playing in a town that feels generic is just too dull for my liking. Dyson x
  21. Yes that's what scripting is, use the basic expressions found on the german site or in other scripts to tell the game what you want to do. It takes some time to get your head round things like vector points and constant characters etc but it all clicks into place one day and you're set to try and write anything you want.

  23. There's always updates just not got round to posting them. Here you can see the functional PD and FD stations in the northern half of the map. So far there's one large PD station (work in progress) north FD Station (Finished), Midtown/Beach Firehouse (Proposed not started), Downtown Firehouse (Proposed not started) & Beach Patrol/Lifeguard tower. Also the hospital is now up and functional. As far as the current progress goes that's all we plan to do, here's the units for each station - North - 2 Engines & 1 Ambulance Midtown/Beach - 1 Rescue 1 Ladder 1 Ambulance South - 2 Engine 1 Ambulance These are all subject to change.
