I just noticed in 1.9 that the writing is backward on one side of the fireboat. I don't have a pic, sorry.

I'm referring to where it says Los Angeles Fire Department on the side of the boat.

first of all, really great mod, i still play it alot with my friends. so tank you hoppah for this awesome work.

now a bug, that nearly everytime happens to us in freeplay:

its pretty anoying, only way to fix it some time is to shot the cars down and get them away and block this spot for the whole game... known issue?

btw: im playing deluxe, mod version is patched up to 1.9.3

What works for me is: Use any vehicle with redirect command (I usually use a motor unit) or an cop. Bring this person/vehicle as close to the stuck car, and use the redirect feature.

I have been playing LA MOD now for a while without most of the problems that everyone mentions.

One thing that still bugs me is the bridge problem on the west of the map. I believe this problem has to do with the height of the bridge and the road connecting to it. Could someone have a look at that to confirm ?

The second thing I am not able to find is the hostage situations, it bugs me that even if there are people in the building in the editor they dissapear in the game.

Hi, i just downloaded this mod, and i must say , it's awesome. Really i think it's better than the original game. Anyway, i have some kind of problem with it, whenever i select a car, or any unit, the game slows down a little bit, it's not a big deal , but it's anoying. My specs are :

That's a common problem. My computer is even better that yours and my game lags slightly when a unit is selected. The only thing in the LA mod I can think of that could be causing this is that the daylight gradient was changed in 1.7. Try another mod (or play with the original units) and see if you get the same problem and report back here.

And i think this can be because of the massive models LA mod uses, and the AMD dual core processors. Might try these two steps :

Ok, I tryed setting the procesor's affinity, so it only uses 1 core, But it was the same, Then I tryed Florian_Hamburg_Mod_V1_0 and it worked fine, it's weird, the game slows down when i select units only, if i deselect that unit it runs smoothly again.

Sorry, my bad But AMD Processors ( some dual cores ) do have issues with multi threading in some games ( and GTA IV fully supports all types of multi threading, something EM4 does not ).. not all. But of course, it might be some other issue Better speak with hoppah.

That was rude? Its a legitimate question. People never run a defrag and wonder why after a year of use there pc runs like crap. Because the datas spread all over the hdd making the hard drive work much harder to find needles in a haystack worth of data. People run a POS antivrius like Norton or Mcaffe and wonder why there pc runs like crap. Well first of all the programs are bloated, and secondly there protection is worthless. I can pretty much guarantee any one running an anti virus like mentioned above, would find many viruses in there PC if they bothered to scan with Malwarebytes or Nod32. Then again with the lack luster security they had they most likley need to resort to something like F-Secure Rescue CD. This is designed to boot up under linux and scan you hard drive so windows doesnt load, preventing viruses from loading at the start of windows and becoming embedded in the OS.

Oh and I wouldnt trust the app, unless it was made by AMD, and even the I deal with computer building on a daily basis and never heard any one mention that app.

Well, to be honest i think that computers nowadays running high speed HDD's don't really care about defrags, do them once in a while, and you're good. unless of course you install everything directly into C:\ and have an old IBM hdd

But yes, people often run Free antivirus, which imo is just a gate to viruses. And often several of these running at the same time.. Several antivirus softwares and antimalware does not mean LESS viruses.. it simply means several softwares trying to use the same system files, which ends in none of them actually working and then rather than protecting the system, slows it down.. People, use One antivirus software. And my personal best antivirus is Avast Antivirus, works great in games, no scanning of every file when starting a game / app, and no lag.

And the APP i mentioned is by AMD supporters and its verified by AMD, it was releases right after the AMD Dual Core driver by AMD, and fixed several bugs regarding the Driver that AMD did not have the time/cared to fix. The old Dual Core was not fully equipped with threading support, like the new ones, and Intel's.

Hope you find your source of problem. Not really easy to find out whats causing this, when you run other mods fine.. But only suggestion i have is that LA Mod have some really detailed models compared to other mods, it might be the problem.
