I'll PM you with some vehicles I want lighted for my LA Mod vehicles. Just got to finalize some things with them. I think I'll have you do the lights on the Charger (when I finish modelling it and create an LAPD version for it)
  4. Much better. Appreciate it that you constructively applied and understood our concerns. Excited and patiently waiting for the mod. If you need any new fire engine chassis, I've released my Seagrave and KME engine models in my topic.
  5. Just had a look and saw the siren script tutorial. Brings me back to the days of when I started scripting EM4 stuff. I can attest that with the right practice, anyone can learn to script through that tutorial.
  6. So I wanted to show this because I won't be able to do any work today. Very early stages of WIP. I want any criticism and and problems about the model pointed out to me.
  7. No one is gonna help you unless you at least try to learn a little. Most of the expert scripters here are busy with their own mods (me included) Don't try to PM any of us either because you'll probably get a 'no'. Unless someone contacts you to script for you, you gotta try to learn to script at least the basics of script editing/creating. Don't know of any tutorials on this site though.
  8. Comments like *make x, y and z so that i can blah* are quite annoying. I'd feel better and actually be in the mood to mod stuff. Comments like the ones that were discussing the lights on the LaFrance tiller and Seagrave engine motivated me to actualy finish the lights yesterday.
  9. I think that the fire stations on the south to east part of the map are too concentrated. Maybe move one to the northwestern neighborhood?
  10. Hmmm. Only other mods are screwed right? Reinstalling the game doesnt work either? Does this happen to you when loading mods for the first time?
  11. It seems to give an error in an unrelated script, specifically the NYCToHospital script. Has this script been modified in any way?
  12. A bit of context (and an excuse to show off some of my vehicles) The running lights on that LAFD Ambulance are in the headlight group so that I can disable them at startup. This is something I notice with your lighting that the running lights are classed as standard. Not saying theres anything wrong with it.
  13. The only way around this is to set the running lights as headlights.
  14. Good idea for a band name. I'm looking at some of the comments and some bug reports. The wye and extend hose script is top priority for me right now. Its very disappointing that the lag is STILL there. Editing commands doesnt seem to help. A theory I have though. What if there is an object with physics that is trapped underneath the map?
  15. He probably wants to have both special and directional lights, but can't have them both controlled by script because of the limitation.
  16. He means the lights set to Standard in the editor. Not common emergency vehicle lights.
  17. Standard lights don't appear to be toggleable by script. I only found functions for headlights, bluelights, turn signals and stop lights.
  18. Maybe firetrucks are an exception because there wouldnt be such thing as a fake firetruck, especially a tiller ladder. So they made an exception for that vehicle. The engine responding with it appears to have 2 red lights on the lightbar.

  20. No offense or anything but this is the second mod of nypdofficerxx to have been lost in a hard disk failure. I figure he or you would've learned to back your files up after the first time it happened. Its inexcusable now that this happened again. To all mod makers: Please back your content up!
  21. This is a scripting issue. You gotta give the police officer the command to pickup the barrier and return it to the truck. This isn't about visibility or appearance, but rather the inability to pickup barriers placed by the player units.
