Driver Date/Size: 12/1/2008 19:29:34, 4033536 bytes Update your video card driver if possible. I had the flickering problem before and it was a driver issue.

This is actually quite complicated because the script is currently made with 3 paths in mind. The script does a check to see which path is closest, i believe, and then decided to follow the closest of the 3. To set the script to check for a 4th path is something I wouldnt even try. I could possibly do it, but just more work then its worth imo for another patrol path.

Its already been delayed as it is. Regardless, you didnt contact me so you dont even know if it would have affected the release. Maybe, maybe not but if you dont try you never know. I should have time tomorrow, and I could then compress and upload it to my server which will offer a faster download then filefront. The point is, I know you have fixed stuff since the beta you sent me, but that was just unplayable imo because it was so full of bugs. If people are getting script errors and cant get there rigs back in station because of traffic, and the map is full of traffic jams after 15 minuets, then I suspect alot of unhappy players. It doesnt need to be perfect, but it needs to be reasonable stable. Again, its your project, and Im not trying to come off as trying to tell you what to do, but just trying to stress the point in not rushing the project. That and I am attempting to help you by making it more stable. The bug with having to send units back to HQ, should be a quick fix if I am thinking correctly. The spawn issue I mentioned should be a quick fix to.

A bit harsh imo lol, but I agree with your basic points for the most part. I dont think all the roads should round out at the end. Run this address for google maps: 4314 East Riverside Drive, Evansville, Indiana And see most streets here do not round out. Then go down to street view and look at the dead end. The street may as well run through to the back of the APT complex over there but it doesnt. Now I do agree some should round out for variety, but not all. Some of the streets do indeed need patching up. Some parts look like 2 street textures just chopped together.

I prefer Notepad2 for coding, but Notepad++ will work. As NFK said start with the LA Mod. Its still complex but its one of the less complex mods when you compare it to the RTS or Winterburg mods.

Did you name the child objects correctly? Assuming this is the LA Mod your talking about, look at the USFS connectors. There named different because there scripted different. I owe you one so PM me the model and such if you like and I can take a look at it. -

Why wouldnt you just continue the PM we had going rather then post here and say PM me? But yes I think that looks fine. Im not entirely sure yet. When it comes to that stage I will let people know if I need testers. -
Sorry but I just dont understand the logic here. If you want to release it go ahead, but I volunteered to fix up some of the bugs(EMS Spawn locations), and could fix the issues with having to manually send units back to HQ, and yet your going to release a some what bug fixed version for beta testing? Given that you should realize that for every one bug found, it will be reported 5 times in this thread, I dont see why you wouldnt fix all possible bugs first, then release a public beta in hopes of some one stepping up and finding a fix for the more complicated things. Also, as for the stuck units, I am having the same problem. I thought it was VO related, but it is most defenitley not related to the VO, so im rather puzzled...unless...some how a gate got scripted in for it.

Since when? It has nothing to do with your OS version. You pretty much said it your self, it is about what architecture your versions of windows uses, if its 32 bit or 64 bit. Speaking of which, when buying/building a PC today, no reason not to go with a 64 bit OS. -
The speed value in the units.xml is obviously measured in a completely different unit then when speed is set via a script. Is there some way to put the speed value of 140 from a Unit.XML into the f measurement system used in scripts?

Actually I think your right on that. Feel free to ask about it at emt-b. I may or may not make it a PAE. I doubt to many people actually use the PAE concept in game. In game its not really needed. Small Update: I never liked the CHP CV, so, and I credit Ale for the idea. I have put a white CHP slicktop Charger in the game using NNICOs model, and put CHP decals on myself. -
I dont think so. As for the hose connections, you just have to click directly on each connector, and seeing as there small you have a very small target area to click but once you figure it out you should get the hang of it. Personally I cant bring myself to play EM3 anymore even with the LA Mod.

TBH, I prefer to run the original game in DosBox(emulator). It takes some work but it is far more stable then Crosix. Then again I just checked there home page and it looks like it is actually being actively developed again! I tried Beta 3 I think, and it was to unstable and development seemed to slow to bother with the project. I think I will wait another day for Beta 5 and try it out. I know there beta release so there will be bugs but one bug that was killing me was that some times when you went to delete a room people would get stuck so you could no longer edit or delete the room. Anyways TH is an awesome game thats really stood the test of time, but I think it always kind of flew under the radar in terms of major main stream success. I dont like Hospital Tycoon at all but love TH!

If I were you I would try to squeeze out an extra $50, round it off to $700 and go for a custom built pc you put together your self. I am pretty sure GTA IV is the standard to go by here in terms of system deman, and a $700 build will play GTA IV, i would guess on medium settings. You nor going to get the highest settings possible on a $700 build but with a prebuilt, you could probably get by with upgrading to a video card latter this year that would be able to play GTA IV on high settings if that what your looking for. Dont get me wrong, a $700 build should play GTA IV smoothly, just not as detailed as it could be. -
Where should I start? The fact you said it yourself, LA MOD 4X4, not LA MOD. The fact that the LA Mod 4x4 is a whole other project? It was based on the LA Mod but the changes were so significant, that it is no longer considered LA Mod related. It is related to the LA Mod 4x4 project. I havent quite explained that to you, but none the less I have instructed you about 3 times now to post in the submod topic. Instead, what do you do? You post in the general LA Mod discussion thread. You dont even bother to post in the LA Mod bugs thread just a few posts down from this. So once again not only do you not post in the submod thread, you post in a topic for discussing the LA Mod in general, and not for LA Mod bugs. It would have still been the wrong place, but atleast it would have been in the bug report thread since you believe this is LA Mod and 4x4 Mod related. Now furthermore, the LA Mod is packaged as an EXE installer. The 4x4 mod is packaged as a e4mod file which not only contains the original LA Mod files, but also contains new files and many changes to the original LA Mod. It sounds like your problem is in relation to the e4mod file. You ask not to be treated like a kid. Well do not act like a kid. Being new here, and refusing to follow instructions are to entirely different things. Being new does not excuse the fact you refuse to listen when some one tries to point you to the correct topic numerous times over and over. At that point it just shows you refuse to read and follow instructions, so, seeing as I have told you three times or more where to post, and you disregard, what is the point in trying to help you fix the problem? If you have not listened the past 3 or more times, why would you suddenly listen now?

Maybe try an older driver, keep in mind this is a DX11 card, while EM4 was written in the days of DX9. I notice a trend that the AMD/ATI 5700 GPUs dont play considerable nice with EM4 due to its age. -

Maybe on the lowest settings(atleast for GTA IV, not to sure about the others). When it comes to EM4/911FR, the games 5+ years old. Just about anything you buy today should play it and the LA Mod fine, now when you had light packs, then it is another story. If you really need a PC, stick with something like a Dell or HP, and dont but into this iBUYPOWER crap. The video card in that build, not to mention the craptastic parts, is well craptastic. Thats video card is about as low end as you can get. The video card I bought when I built my first PC about 2 maybe 3 years ago, was like 5 times better, if not more. Whats your budget? -

I released the pushbars from the LA Mod, but only as a model. In other words I released them with the intention of people knowing how to use zmodeler could use them as I didnt make them ready to just be put in the game. I was reading over the first post, 2 things: Not true. It served its purposive as a rescue truck as it had extrication tools. It also had jump pad for rescue missions. It actually had all available fire equipment on board so it could also be used to transport additional units to a fire. Just saying And for installing, I dont argue your point about copying and pasting one bit lol, but if you like, you could link to my post about how to install patches. Since this install in the same way as a patch would, might help people understand how to install. Keep up the good work. Seems you managed to find alot of bugs we missed in beta testing and in the released versions.
