  1. For those curious, this is what the new BCSO skins will look like - very similar to the real ones. Credit goes to Itchboy for the model.
  2. Looking good, THVFD. I really like the units you've put together here
  3. How exactly does one go about setting up a train on a new map? I tried to replicate the way the train is set up in the vanilla EM4 map, but it doesn't add up. There's the model of the train actually placed on the map on the tracks, named "train", but it's not assigned to the train tracks path. And there's no spawn point either, which doesn't make sense, because then how does the train show up every few minutes? If someone could offer some insight into how to set it up, I'd appreciate it. Thanks
  4. I barely hit the recommended requirements for ram and cpu. Looks like I'll need a new GPU though.
  5. Bump Still working on putting in new scripts, and new objects into the map simultaneously. Map still needs about 10 more new building models before all the other work can be focused on.
  6. My go-to guy is understandably busy, so I need someone to take his place and light up the new units for the Montana Mod 2.0. I'd do it myself but I'm on a time crunch here. If you think you're the person for the job, PM me or reply to this post with a video portfolio of your lighting abilities. If chosen, your reward will be sneak previews at the new units and a spot in the credits for the mod. Thanks
  7. What Fred said, basically. Quick update, everyone. The semi-official release date is now November 7, 2014. It was mid October to coincide with EM5's launch, but that got pushed to the 14th and I need more time to iron out bugs and update things. This release date is subject to change. As much as I'd like to release slightly ahead of Em5, I won't release the mod if it's not a clean finished product by then.
  8. Removed because the installer for the first version is messed up There will be two FDs total, the MPVFD and the Beaverhead County paid FD
  9. At least some of them will be released with the new media.
  10. I do! Trust me though, the new one will be worth the wait. Maybe you can find the old one through someone else or another forum. I don't have time to upload it though. Quick update for everyone, I'm working on implementing new scripts that Itchboy and BMA have put together, two of them are done and there are about ten to go. Not all of those ten are new, the majority of them are copied over from other mods. So far 4 of the scripts are brand new. I'm not revealing what they are just yet, but rest assured you'll find out soon. At the same time, I'm still updating textures and coming up with designs for the last set of new buildings for the map. The new map is in an alpha stage, despite it not having all the buildings and paths there yet, it is playable in game and I've been tinkering around with it. The release window is mid-to-late October.
  11. You have to edit the big.dds & other files in the Unit folder - it seems like you may have already done that, make sure they're in the right format and right folder for each unit
  12. As much as I wish it was, it's not really practical to have two towns on a map in EM4 due to the contrainsts of the small map size. It's barely big enough to realistically fit the town in the new Montana Mod map.
  13. 4shared isn't the best hosting site, you probably clicked an advertisement disguised as a download link. For now I've removed the download link for 1.0. Just be patient and wait for 2.0 (which will be hosted on Mega), folks. Also: please don't ask for media or release dates. Both those things are coming soon, but I'm not answering any questions regarding them until it's time.
  14. Like Fred and Ladder said, the next release of the Montana Mod which is coming soon will feature both a volunteer and a paid department. The volunteer department will include a new script and POVs.
  15. Quick update for everyone: - The map texture is 100% done, excluding touch-ups - Map objects, paths, events, etc are about 25% done - Itchboy and BMA are graciously helping me with new scripts and troubleshooting script edits before release - The main focus right now is updating the existing units and adding in the new units. I'm working on new vehicle and structure models. You can expect new media within a week or two, and I'm expecting to release 2.0 within six weeks, and before Emergency 5 comes out. This is not a finalized/definite release window but it is the most likely. There is a plan to release DLC after the initial release (for free of course, not pulling any EA crap). This will probably include a few new missions. For those asking about the Limited Water supply and taser scripts: Yes, I am putting them in the mod.
  16. The auto installer is a bit messed up, I believe it tries to make a second Montana Mod folder and put the first one inside that, which causes the game to not recognize it... so just copy the original Montana Mod folder into the Mods directory. Other than that I can't really help you.
  17. I'm not going to get into numbers, the basic plan is to have a tanker that supplies water to other apparatus, working with the Limited Water script. I haven't tested it out yet so I don't even know the mechanics of that script. Planning on making call volume slower, yes. Seriously wouldn't count on it, at least not in this version.
  18. Alright, would these need to go in fp_params or..? I'll tinker around with it.
  19. Is it possible to make certain ambient polygons (ambiance sounds) play at certain intervals during the game clock? The atmo_night_rural sound goes really well with the rural feel of my map, but I don't want it to play constantly, so is there a way I can make it play only during the nighttime hours? Thanks in advance
  20. Yes and no, the Pierce won't be, the commercial cab is, but the texture is different. The second engine is a new model.
