I went through and tried changing it to different variables as well as constants and I've gotten no where.. Still loads up with a different garage and a different set of vehicles then the ones I asked for... Like instead of having an ambulance and an RW, I want to be able to have my ambo and resucein the garage... Haven't figured that much out yet... dunno if it should have a specifc mission value in the Unit.xml or what. And alsoinstead of unlocking an NEF and water tender, I want to unlock an EMS car and engine... Changed it from the NEF to the ID for the ems car, and I still get the NEF.. Only thing I can find to change is in the lang file for it

If you look at the original models, you'll see it sort of like a patch on the arm, you just tehn esitmate by looking at the patch that they arm is only slightly wider, and you go from there.. Mostly trial and error sorta thing with the police

Thats how to run them from the missions, but I mean the target vehicles to unlock from campaign mode.. Like you have to buy an NEF or a tow or something When playing the missions (in german) I click weiter, which is next and that takes me to the campaign map, this loads a freeplay like scenario that demands that I collect points to buy an NEF and a water tender or something along those lines. Understand what I mean now? Try playing original unmodded game to see

Or if you do not wish to download a full set of changes and want just this little one, take a look at where the script calls to spawn the hazmat, and just replace that with the ladder 1, then of course, don't forget to change who runs out to it! That'd be in both the Battalion chief script for dispatching out as well as the alarm script! Fairly simple process, just a bit of work

Yes, even the great mod gods need help some times. Just outta curiousity, I'm playing with some files, and I can't seem to figure it out, but where can one find the Campaign script. Not the mission, but the little freeplay-like part that comes between the original missions to earn certain vheicles or upgrades. I want to fool around with this script, such as change what vehicles you work for etc, but where would I find this? Any help is welcome

What we were trying to do was explain that people with any skills probably won't advertise them publically, because of a combination of any of these: A) They'll be massed with all sorts of requests to do everything B) They will end up getting too many invites to teams they don't want to be on C) They are already busy with their own mods, and therefore do not have time to do more than theirs. D) They are only interested in joining certain mod teams, therefore they will contact those teams to offer assistance as needed. Also, people can easily get help with one or two componenets, however not get a full team, just by stating they need help in this area, and usually a member will step up and offer a little bit of help. Thing is, good modding skills are hard to come by and those that have it are usally already claimed, so they cannot offer a full set of help. Hope this clarifies things

What you need for each rotar is 4 individual coronas, in a square shape. I usually set the speed to around 4.00 and then the offsets at 0, .3, .6 and .9 This will create a rotating effect. You can toy with the adjustments as you need, such as the offset, the corona size and the intensity cap to make it look best. Honestly, I can think of many people who have the skillsbut do not want to advertise, because you'll get a barrage of PMs asking to join mod teams... I'll offer myself to do a piece here and there.. Anyone that sends a request to do a whole mod, join their team or anything like that will be ignored however.. There my good deed for the night!

Any "free" games you will find will be 0 in the realism category. IF you're planning on doing dispatch, freeplay in this is about as close as you'll get without spending a mint. It leaves out the 911 call part, but the actual dispatching is pretty close, especially with mods that divide up stations, such as the LA mod. I highly recommend getting that mod for this game, as it will allow the closest thing to a real life dispatcher in the US.

First infraction: Outwardly ignoring mine and mikeys demands, tehrefore you're banned automatically with a one plus warning. Secondly, being a model theif is not something to be proud of, don't flaunt it. Imagine you could model, and there was people taking your stuff, claiming they made it and releasing it... Letsput it this way, you worked a month on an english paper, and someon took it, wrote their name on it claimed it was theirs. You'd be pissed off, so therefore, learn to give credit when given permission or get banned again. Oh and yeah, if you're any kind of christian or something like that, it's a really big sin to use the lord's name in vain, so you'll be in a lotta trouble with him for that too

Alright, I understand that many may have taken offence by the post regarding model credits and what not, and I did not intend to cause offence. However, what's done is done, I apologize for any offence I have caused. We've had many problems with credits before, and therefore we have to follow the same set of making sure due credit is provided, as some people take a mile when given an inch, as we obviously don't want this happening we ahve to enforce a set flat rule for everyone. all is well and it was fixed easily. As for the models, from what I've gathered from my previous experience some model authors will want permission to be asked, others don't care. I'm leaving the models up to Mikey, as he is the original author of several of the LA mod models, so he reserves the right to limit use if he so wishes. Anyways, I just ask that all people please retrun to the topic of the submod, and not the problems with model credits, that'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you. EDIT: Well it seems I've got some catching up to do on post readings. Without getting too defensive, as a staff member, I reserve the right to publically announce any warnings, bans etc. How come it's fine when someone asks a release date to post that they've been warned or whatever, but it's not okay to inform a mod that it is currently under investigation for not creditting model authors (which is considered theft)? Basically, a rule is a rule. You break it, we punish you. If that means posting in your topic that you must adhere to the rule right away, that's just how it is. It's not immature. It'd be immature if I suspended everyone, locked the topic and closed the mod until I was given a fully updated Readme included in the mod. And I didn't do that, though I probably could've, I was nice.. See? I'm not pure evil. As much as I appreciate the back-up, and believe me it's nice to have back-up, I'm gonna suggest for your own good to just click report or something isntead of getting directly involved. Many times it escalates and ends in warnings and suspension for all. He was spoken to privately in a much longer PM, however this was a mere notice that in 24 hours the mod would be closed if the rules were not adhered to. I'd avoid calling people mentally challenged for 2 reasons. One, calling someone mentally challenged as a derogatory insult will get you warned 'round these parts. Two, it's very discriminatory to refer to someone who doesn't follow rules as mentally challenged becuase you think that's an insult. It's just like calling someone a faggot or a n*gger because it's insulting. Don't be at it, next time there will be warnings issued for derogtory attitude towards members. Just for note, that has to be included in the actual mod, not just as a slightly editted readme thrown into the posts. And if that model is orignally from another author(MikeyPI), then you do indeed need to confirm permissions with him as stated in the 2 and 3 points in Copyright

Attention Dyson and/or Mod staff - The follwing must be complied to immediately. It has been brought to our attention that a unit in your mod may have been used without permission and credit given. The model author contacted me with his concern, and provided his copy of the model several weeks before the version was released, and now that it has been released, and he has noticed he was not in the readme, he has contacted our staff once again. After review of the models provided, and the models in question, it has indeed been determined that this model has been used without credit. You are to please update your credit list to include the authors of all models, or else this submod will be shut down immediately. You ahve 24 hours from the time of this post to respond, and if no action is taken, this mod will be closed permanently. EMP Staff Newfoundking.
