I totally misread your post, thought you said it was a torrent, haha my bad.
-
I know where to get a 3ds max thats not a torrent and its a full version for free,
90% of forums take a zero tolerance to piracy, sure they exist, we all know they do, but keep it to yourself.

I have only a small amount of work completed but I have an impala an engine and a CV done if you're interested, looks good though,

I think I'm out of the competition now lol
Did I dq u?
Did you what?
Disqualfie you>
No how ?what have I done wrong?

As i'm currently subscribed to this topic let me intervene in this ridiculous conversation.
metpolice's original comment was at the quality of the impala, he did not believe he had actually been disqualified.

I love using the editor. I just have to read up on adding vehicles to the mods.
Check topic dates bro, you just reopened a 3 year old topic

Ok well i never got a invite and you had said in pm to me that I was gonna be one of the beta testers and yes sorry was away at the time you obviously did release the test but well still never got an invite as promised but never the less good luck with it all then and tbh don't really see that interest has died in the mod mate just think people have learned to stop keep asking for release dates etc and learned to keep quiet and wait but I for one know I have waited for this ever since v1 can't wait to try it but guessing since I was not included as promised in the beta testing program that I will now have to wait for the full release but if you do still want me to test is never to late to send me the link am not working today either so can be on it solid the next 2 days testing everything out and reporting back to you but not gonna push for it just here if you want extra hands, on another note how you been lately dyson as I know you were getting quite stressed out see you say your moving now so good luck with that if you need any help or vans organising for the move etc let me know maybe able to use my contacts to get ya a good deal!
Well I never accept people asking to become testers and have no message in my inbox that indicates I may have, but regardless, no beta is out to the people I want to send it to already have it, very few people I would consider for testing.
That's the be-all-end-all, no need for a discussion on immaturity. But yeah once again more chat regarding pointless stuff than anything to do with em4 or the mod.
Let's just stay on topic, I'd prefer the continued topic silence than just trivial chat.

As stated several times beta testing for this mod is an invite only system. As for progress beta testing is currently under way awaiting feedback. Due to the sharp decline in interest in the mod in recent months and me moving to a new apartment soon etc there has been very little development since the release of the beta.
So yeah that's where we're at with the mod so far.

All hands call came in whilst Beta testing this morning, a good chance to try out all that the firefighting aspect of the mod has to offer.
We had 3 firefighters down, due to smoke inhalation and minor burns.

Besides a few doors opening the wrong ways and minor traffic issues when holding traffic up for long periods.

Woop, seems noone likes UK cars.

You can manually alter the resolution in the Em4.cfg file found in you main directory.
Change it to whatever your PC resolution is.

Light Preview #5
Also testing has just begun, we'll keep you guys updated.
I'm off to University next week, that's why development is still on hold.
Hope you like the video and cheers for understanding

I'm finally back from Amsterdam, the topic seems to have just been stupid chat for the past few days so back on topic please guys.
More updates will come once I have time and energy to work, currently about to move into a new appartment, going to Uni and loads of stuf going on, so development may hit a slump but it's still on going.
Peace, specially to all you guys from NL, you guys know how to party!

Thanks for all the b'day messages
was a good birthday, anyway I'm off to Amsterdam tomorrow, so here's my final update before I go.THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL BETA TESTERS ONLY**
RC 2.0.0 will be distributed to you all, all you need to do is email me with your name, EMP username and the subject BETA. Testers should already have my email, (Dyson) any testers that don't respond will be presumed idle or withdrawn from the BETA program. More info will follow after confirming you're still active.

**They will already know they are eligible to test, no more are needed
To Everyone else
If you haven't figured from this announcement, almost everything is now finished! We're entering the testing stage, and we're going to be vigorously removing all and any bugs.
We've also welcomed a new lighter Narco, who has been helping with lights, we'll be sticking some light previews on real soon.

Looks nice, but be advised, houses with floors can sometimes cause issues with parking script and will kick up a fuss with people walking around, I'd usually incorporate the floor into the ground texture

You can't just patch up the expansion, you actually have to buy the expansions to get their additions. The patchs are just developed side by side so the versions for the most part remain the same. I haven't played COH in a while but back in the day when you launched a mod if you didn't include the -dev command the mods wouldn't load and the shortcut would just launch regular COH. Try the Battle of the Bulge mod, it's has an auto installer and is fairly simple. I would make sure you play the vanilla first before jumping into mods since mods tend to add onto vanilla gameplay in more complex ways.
I loved this game so much the first few years after it came out. I'd play the campaign first in the vanilla game to get used to it though.
Hardcopies kind of suck for COH these days unless you can intergrate with Steam. I have OF and COH boxed but during a sale I shelled out like 3 bucks for the complete pack on Steam and it's a lot less hassle. Relic adopted Steam and now you kind of have to adapt or die.
Thanks for the reply
Well I played DOW2 which runs exactly the same THQ engine, so I already knew how to play, but yeah I do play the vanilla too, just not as much.
And I finally got it to work, I gave up on getting it to work on the copy of OF I bought, and instead 'acquired' ToV and got it to work with that. Makes me mad how little support THQ or Relic were offering, but yeah, got it to work now so not fussed, and who said pirating doesn't pay off? Not sure what the moral to this story is...

hmm, I thought it was, I haven't got the editor accessible right now but adding it is near impossible

-
1. Place a person model on map and click on them
2. Click Properties (bottom left)
3. Select the 'talkmike' animation from the list
4. Edit Traits option
5. There should be a drop down menu for equipment click on that
6. select microphone.
I thought someone would have spelled it out by now, but yeah

what type of files are your textures? dds?
PNG, gives a smoother sharper finish in my opinion, dds is too heavily compressed.

News roundup
We've now completed all models/vehicle textures for the mod, final for v2.
The map stands at around 95% just adding details to streets and making more atmosphere with people and objects.
We're hoping to work on some new scripts, but we've already added one or two new ones, for example, we have a new 'frisk' command that is useful in MP for a PD player who hasn't been getting any calls, they can just randomly stop and search people, and might find guns, narcotics, all kinds of stuff.
And finally we welcome a new lighter, Narco, he's been working on lights for us, we'll be uploading some previews soon so stay tuned.
Anyway this topic seems to have quietened down quite a bit, not really too sure why, but hopefully we can get some interest back into our mod as we're close to delivering our second serving of Manhattan.
Any questions? Comments?

In short, with great trouble, it's not simple and would require a knowledge of both mods and basic em4 modding.

Crappy is an understatement! haha but yeah got a hard copy, bought both CoH and OF expansion, I was very pissed off to find that you can just patch up to the expansion, waste of £10. But yeah the mod is up to date, but when I load up the mod it just loads the normal game, so I updated all the way to 2.062, and now my game wont load, I'm sick of this game already and only played one skirmish, even that wasn't great the enemy spawned a blockade of tanks. Driving me to despair!
-
Yo guys, so I just bought CoH Opposing fronts, to try out the mod. And it seems impossible to patch CoH, like it took me an hour to get it to 2.031, and I need to get it up to 2.0.61 or whatever the latest one is.
I mean I'm just super confused with this mod, the install instructions are clear, but the support is very vague, so any help would be appreciated if anyone has any.
