To me it looks more like the Chicago fire logo, which fits with them using Chicago (I remember reading/hearing) for the filming of the Dark Knight, and I'd imagine the Dark Knight Rises.
yeah I did a tonne of research, it was a Chicago rig, and the one on fire in DK is a chicago one too. However Gotham is supposed to represent NYC, which is why the PD cars are old NYPD schemes, so Chicago or New York either would fit

it was said that this was from the movie...only picture there and the view is far away for detail but the GFD logo on the back door looks like Calgary Fire Departments logo.
Yep but wasn't actually used, so officially never a confirmed logo, also as you said, yeah it would be near impossible to pull a logo off that pic.

Pretty honored to be named after hoppah, haha, good 'speech' too, a lot of people should read, it should be in the ToS or something, although I've never actually read it myself

Haha yup I started one, I did mainly re-skins and created a new map, far off completion though just a side project.
I couldn't find any GFD logos so I just mocked some up, but yep good work, I really liked the idea of rolling with a fictional city that already has established areas and colour schemes etc

Two years to the day, this project began, a lot happened inbetween, joining forces with Raf, changing the name, releasing the submod and version 1, we've come a long way, hopefully we'll go even further! Thanks for the support, especially to those who had faith from the early submod.

The developer hasn't been on for 7 months, and hasn't posted in 9, this is likely a dead topic.

We've finally got ourselves a reliable hosting site for v2 and v1, we'll be uploading v1 to this mirror soon and v2 HD once it's finished

We've also collected all our media into one place aswell, so check it out, this will be where the downloads will be available once done

In actual updates, we've just reworked some models again improving more and more, the map is about 90% complete.
We're now focusing on lights and details along with scripts and gameplay.

How do i change, so the fireengine1, loads 4x firefighters and not 2 firefighters and 2 paramedic?

You'll need to change the XML files. There's a tutorial on it in the 'Tutorial' section.
Incorrect, you need to edit the LAFirestation.script in the 'scripts/game/comand' folder. Each engine ladder etc will have several numbers, like 3, 3, 5, 5, or something, you wanna change the engine so that it has all the same numbers (check on the ladder for which number is basic ff).

IF WWIII happens (which it never will, it's already started, and it'll start deep within the west, not the middle east, the only countries with enough power to start a war of that magnitude are USA, and the big European countries. Germany, UK, etc. Not with some country branded a threat by the US. The only thing IRAQ ever did was 9/11, oh no wait.. that was Afghanistan right? Oh no he was found in Pakistan. But yeah these countries are only a threat of oil, not military.
That's my opinion don't know if someone else said something similar I glanced the last page over

Not a grammar nazi or anything like that.. but that sentence was hella hard to read.
I found it straight forward, just read it how it should be read.
I added grammar just for you

just to say, v1 of the mod (now I have windows 7) does not load, (it) just crashes the game on campaign freeplay and multiplayer etc. So now really can not wait to get this v2, as (I) loved playing the manhattan mod, even v1, as (I) worked out how to get around the bugs, but on win 7 doesn't work at all!

When you create your new wheel protos, they're being moved within the editor because of what you named them, from the wheels list to the for eg Fire department vehicles section.
This all probably means nothing, but in short, clone an existing wheel and just change its proto name but not it's location, then try adding that wheel.

Did you install to the default directory/is the game a legal hard copy of the game?
Not here to judge, but if it's illegal download it wont work.
And if its not installed to the default directory that creates issues too.
Try both of those, if not then no idea.

I was wondering if its possible to make the tower ladder (ie. Aerial Ladder truck -> LA mod) bucket 'invisible', because AFAIK, You can't just delete it.

Yep, here's how to do it (or atleast how we did it)
Create a new basket proto, set the model to something like the golf ball or the original basket, then place it on your ladder, then go back to your prototype for the ladder basket you just added and change the model file to something invisible, for example - virtual floor, virtual door, or easiest would be to select the tiller basket from LA.
Make sure to name your newly placed basket 'basket' in the child editor window, else the game wont like it.

Ahh well my point remains make sure it all fits properly with files in your mod, but yeah when it comes to German scripts I'm lost haha

Ahh, so you just imported this from ERS then right?
Simply simply copying a script from another mod wont necessarily work, you'd need to check out the script and make sure all the script meets up with stuff from the mod you're copying too
for example vehicle prototypes, sound file locations, GUI locations etc.x

As for the script error you'd need to be more specific.

Em4 is more open to modding, the basic principles of modding both games is,
Emergency 4 - you add to the existing game
GTA4 - you replace what's already in game, like for like.
But GTA is more restrictive in its modding, but because of its popularity has been made more user friendly to mod.

There's already a 'talkmike' animation where a person holds a microphone, there's even a microphone equipment you can assign.
