  1. That's why they both were replaced. And that's why it responds from off map with only two paramedics. Well of course they're going to be taken to an LAPD station. Do you know of any departments that take arrested criminals directly to the county lockup? I certainly don't. I understand that the mod may not be 100% realistic, but at least you could make some sort of attempt instead of loading up each fire station with a ton of units and fictional vehicles.
  2. How about you just turn the tiller into a LACoFD quint instead of creating a completely new and extremely unrealistic (for LA) quint? You don't HAVE to have a ladder vehicle at FS2 you know. How about you put the heavy rescue there instead of vehicles that belong thousands of miles away.
  3. That's incorrect. There are six USARs in the LAFD (3, 5, 27, 85, 88, and 89). Out of the six, only USAR 88 is staffed 24/7 with two USAR certified firefighters. The other five USARs are cross staffed by firefighters from the task force at their station.
  4. Helljumper made a KME engine. No need to reskin anything when you can skin a KME engine. I suggest you contact him. http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/topic/11396-some-models-i-made/page__p__156226__fromsearch__1#entry156226
  5. There already is one. Read the manual.
  6. If you used the files that Hoppah provides in that topic you shouldn't have any problems.
  7. Not to mention 88s in the only USAR staffed 24/7 in the city, so it makes sense that they would have a newer rig. LAFD only purchased three of the new USAR rigs (3, 5, 88). I think the old rigs (27, 85, 89) are from 1999, so they're due for an upgrade. FYI, there really shouldnt be a USAR or HAZMAT squad at FS2 because LAFD houses all of those units at stations that have a full task force. What really should go there is the EMS captain and/or a brush patrol in place of the squad.
  8. Hes active on Flickr. You can see what he looks like here.
  9. I lost almost all my PMs. The only ones I have now are from 2008. xplorer, do you have our long PMs?
  10. How about you change it to a LASD car because they provide security to the hospitals in LA county.
  11. That is actually a picture of the old HAZMAT rigs. 70s moved over to 87s. LAFD now uses Pierce squads for USAR and HAZMAT. That is a pic of the old USAR 88, but the unit in the LA mod is USAR 85 (same as the tiller).
  12. Nope, only red TDAs, and even then they're part of a light force (with the exception of truck 9).
  13. Actually it would be foam 180 when everything is said and done.
  14. It's USAR 85 FYI. Or USAR 27 or 89, they all have identical rigs.
  15. You do know you're going to need a wireless access point in order to use wireless internet right?
  16. Hold on here. The brush patrol model is an 2003 model so I think it would be more realistic to stick with what it has already.
  17. Well if you're going to get 2 5970s you might as well get 3 GTX 480s for less money and better performance. Yes, the GTX 480 runs pretty hot.
  18. Now you really can't compare a 5970 to a GTX 480. You really need to compare 2 GTX 480s to a single 5970. I say get a single GTX 480 now, and take the $200 you save over the 5970 and put it towards a second 480. Two 480s in SLI are faster than a 5970. The 480s scale extremely well in SLI also. Besides, the 3D vision surround drivers just were released.
  19. No, LAFD uses custom freightliners as command vehicles. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikesphotos_us/3387107181/ Isn't that what the paramedic engine is for?
  20. Generally the numbers in the middle will be 0.5, while the last number will be 1.5.
  21. DO NOT connect the two computers with a LAN cable. You'll fry the ports because the wire won't be crossed properly.
  22. That is the delay in calling the next firefighter so they don't all spawn at the same time and jam the door. The higher the number the longer the wait.
