  1. Really? All four squads (4, 48, 87, 95) and all five USARs (3, 5, 27, 85, 88, 89) are housed in task force stations. This is because the USARs (with the exception of 88s) are cross-staffed when a USAR call comes in. One or two guys from the task force will jump on the USAR and drive it to the scene along with the task force. USAR 88 is staffed 24/7 however, and they are the only USAR in the city that does this. All the personnel at the five USAR stations are USAR certified. As you can see in this photo set, TF 89 is on scene as well as USAR 89. Squads are similar, although 95s and now 87s are the only squads that are cross staffed. The other two are staffed 24/7. Like the USAR stations, all the personnel at stations with a squad are HAZMAT certified.
  2. That's wrong. USAR and squads are always housed at a full task force station. The LA mod is a little unrealistic.
  3. What do you mean by ALS rigs? Do mean RAs or assessment engines? I believe there are a few engines in the city that carry some sort of battery powered Holmatro tool, but I don't know which engines those are though. I also believe RAs carry bolt cutters and a hayward tool and some even carry extra equipment depending on what the station has a surplus of. I don't know which crash tenders (if any) carry jaws.
  4. A task force (TF) is a light force plus a four man engine. Only station 80 and 51 have the yellow appratus. 95s is all red. A quote from www.emtbravowest.com And another quote Both quotes refer to FS 51/80 and LAX operations. In regards to the ambulances, the current LAFD RA 51 is the one below left. The reserve RA 51 is the one on the lower right. The one in the LA mod has been outdated since the LA mod first was released as the current RA 51 is a 2005 model while the LA mod was released in 2006.
  5. The color is slightly off as well. It's too yellow.
  6. http://www.fs80.org/ They have just what you're looking for in the photo section. The website is slightly out of date though. The numbering for the three E-one tenders (see below) are now foam 180 , foam 280, and foam 380 instead of foam 1, foam 2, and foam 3. Crash 80 is still the same. I think they changed the numbers to differentiate better between all four crash tenders at the station, and the reason the E-ones start with 180 is because of crash 80. As you can see foam 180 is in the LA mod. Hoppah should tweak the skin to say "180" instead of "1" FS 51 has an RA and an engine. You can obviously tell it's high time for Hoppah to update RA 51 ingame with a new skin and changed model. The old RA (like the one currently in the game) is now a reserve. FS 95 has a TF, RA, and a squad but the squad is cross staffed (it's the only squad in the city that is like that). And then you also have 5's just to the north and they have a TF, RA, USAR (which is cross staffed), BC, EM, and maybe a BLS RA.
  7. I think the vehicle has to be a certain type in the editor.
  8. That lightbar on the USBP car doesn't seem to match the pic.
  9. Well for starters the white-over-red paint scheme on RAs is not used anymore. Only the most recent RA purchase has the LED bars and square grille. I believe all the BCs got new Suburbans. RA 51 also needs a makeover, it needs a new skin and the model needs to be changed to the ALS RA model with the cab roof mounted lightbar. The HR model is not out of date, all it needs is a few lights. Actually, most of the fire vehicles need lights, mostly just side flashers and a few rear flashers.
  10. Yeah, a lot of the models/skins are out of date.
  11. You can read about those odd rigs in the EMS captain section. They're not in use anymore.
  12. Those GPUs would be bottlenecked so bad by the CPU.
  13. The number corresponds to what type of firefighter will be called. 1 is a FF/PM, 2 is the PM stretcher team, 3 is the FF/EMT, 4 is the BC, 5 is the HAZMAT, 6 is USAR, and 7 is EMT stretcher team. Just change the numbers to change the type of firefighters called. If you want to add firefighters, copy the wait and the callcrew lines for as many firefighters as you want. Always make sure the 1.5 length is last. m.PushActionWait(ACTION_APPEND, 0.5f); m.PushActionExecuteCommand(ACTION_APPEND, DUMMY_CALLCREW, Caller, 3, false);
  14. You might want to edit the BC script so the units are staffed the same as the station. The fire station isn't that hard to edit once you figure it out. I figured it all out back on my own during 1.5 when I was replacing vehicles at the fire station. Back then you had to edit VOs and everything.
  15. I think it was fixed in 1.9 sometime.
  16. You can come to Cleveland if you want, the "mistake on the lake".
  17. You need to change the caller numbers in the firestation scripts and add a few lines of code. You also need to edit the unit.xml files.
  18. While you're at it you could add side flashers also. If you need more pictures Mike has an excellent walkaround here of HR 56 on Flickr that was just posted.
  19. They look like red rotators to me. Don't forget that the HR has two prototypes. The lights could be added to the prototype used when the HR is not installed.
  20. Hoppah, have you even considered adding lights to the heavy rescue along the back of the boom assembly? http://www.flickr.co..._us/4691542275/
  21. For the BC and the EMS captain, the commands are in the "get equipment" menu.
  22. 1. If you select the proper command from the menu, all the objects on which it can be used on will glow blue. 2. The original missions remain, so you'll have a total of 30 missions. The LA missions are listed after the original missions. Don't forget to patch the LA modd to version 2.0.2. 3. All I play is the LA mod so I don't know. 4. Use the commands to call units on the battalion chief and police officers. They will save you time in calling units. For medical incidents, treat with a paramedic (from an engine or RA), and then transport with the BLS RA. This way the paramedic units are freed up to respond to calls instead of transporting.
  23. How are inland water rescues that require divers handled since the divers are based on the fireboats. Does a helicopter carry them to the scene from the port or do they respond in some sort of vehicle? Do USAR and SWR units carry diving gear?
