  1. Welfordshire Mod - By scrivs & e34p. Welfordshire, a fictitious county, is very rural, with many small farming towns, mountainous terrain, and like any large county it has its share of larger towns. This mod will focus upto the emergency services of Welfordshire including, Fire & Rescue, Ambulance, Police and Mountain Rescue. An complete new freeplay map is currently in progress by e34p, who is putting in a wealth of work and experience to put this mod together. A special thanks goes to RedHawk504, for giving us kind permission to use part of one of his models, to create our fire engine. He has kindly donated the rear bodywork of the Scania fire engine (pictured). We are making good progress with skins, scripts and the map. Updates to follow…. Scania model : chidea, redhawk504 - Skin edited by scrivs & e34p Persons - Phillip Thaben - Fabio Renner - Stefan Morgenstern - Skins edited by scrivs & e34p Update 22/05/13 e34p has included now a working stryker stretcher script!, also the ambulance has openable and closeable door (a peek at the new map too!)

  3. Sry itchboy but i defently think the police cars don´t have 600 coronas. It is just not possible with that little amount of lights. After i watched the videos i came to the conclusion that only some of the firetrucks could have had that amount of lights.

  7. Basically your right but you don´t have the right to be that harsh to this modding team. Everyone started small.

  10. Not on anyones side, but I also would have been confused by all this. At least we know who the autor is and they're wasn't much harm done. It would be ashame to see another good mod go down

  11. It may be that a registry key is missing. I fixed mine this way: 1. Open your favorite plain-text editor. 2. Paste the code below into a new file: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4] "InstallDir"="C:\\Program Files\\sixteen tons entertainment\\Emergency 4" 3. Save the file as 'Emergency4RegistryKeyFix.reg' (technically you can choose any file name you desire, so long as the extension is '.reg' ) 4. Locate and double-click the registry file you just saved, and choose yes when asked to add the information to the registry. It may be important to note, however, that the fix may be different for 64-bit computers. The fix I gave should work on all 32-bit computers.

  12. There was a stolen content allegation levied in the DC mod topic, PaganiZonda claimed that this was not the case, so I instructed both parties to provide their source imagery and subsequently compared them... This is the investigation and the ultimate results: Ultimately the results are in and he will be found guilty of sourcing goog's image, I believe he did use the original provided with nnico's car available for download as a base. He ultimately cut and pasted some of goog'scontent into the vehicle's skin, the grille I do not believe to be one of those components (though possible it did not have enough similarities to be comfortable making the call on that). Highly suspect is the window frame area, not because of the chrome specifically, there are slight differences in goog's vs zonda's in that regard, but ultimately the black portion that goes along with the chrome trim appears to be nearly identical so it is highly probable they are in fact one and the same just adjusted via a filter (IE made darker). The door handles is again another area that is extremely suspect, the original nnico ones were black, which in of it's self isnt a big deal as that can be altered easy enough. The problem is both goog's and zonda's have identical keyhole placement and coloring, that would be highly unusual to happen so it is highly probable he sourced goog. Lastly and ultimately the definitive problem that was encountered in the review is the trim component on the rear below the lights/trunk... This component on the original texture from nnico is black, as I've stated before it would not be impossible to believe two individuals could make this component chromed instead, especially since goog does not use a highly custom chrome trim. The problem for it is, that it is not just a chrome strip that is present on zonda's, but also the trim markings from the black pieces on the rear of the trunk lid as well as a portion of the grey bodywork from goog's skin. Given that zonda's vehicle allegedly was created on the original texture, those markings for where the trim ends would not have been present, as the original one did not have them. Zonda's does, however so that is extremely unusual since he has the original black inserts for the trunk, but they are not aligned as the original ones are and should be, they have the same difference as goog's does... More important though aside from that in the rear portion is the slight defect above the trim, there is in fact a piece of "grey" texture visible, unfortunately that would not happen by mistake as evidenced looking at the white original source, the only way that could happen is copying it directly from Goog's texture, which is easy enough to verify by inspecting the color. The colors when sourced from nearly identical locations on the area visible are identical. The end result of the issues above leads to a definitive answer of guilt in this matter and will be addressed accordingly, the offending vehicle(s) must be removed for the modification to go forward. Any other objects, components, textures, or other source material created by Goog shall be removed as well as he has requested immediately. If he created or had a part in the content you may not use it for this modification and will face subsequent enforcement for violations of these terms set by the author of the sourced material. Zonda himself will receive one additional warning point and a subsequent suspension of approximately 15 days. The reason for the extended suspension is due to the fact that within the course of the investigation, when asked directly via PM if he sourced any other people's textures, he stated no, but explicitly mentioned the very same modification Goog created that the sourced texture came from. Making false statements to us is a serious problem and ultimately is the reason behind the extended vacation. For the time being since the primary author has to be suspended do not expect responses from him regarding this modification until his suspension expires.

I think this is a good call, although I feel kinda sorry for the result, I believe that what he wanted to do is just to make the mod look better, so he took part of his work, and he thought that this is not all the work from others only part of it and I believe he didn't mean to lie to the admins, just the misunderstanding of the rules of this forum, I can understand because we are just middle school or high school students who are intersted in the mod and try to learn something to improve it. Still, I believe admin did the right call and gave a fair call, just hope you can consider to cancel his 15 days "in prison" or decrease some time, I believe he will learn how to obey the rules after this. Again, as a team member, sorry about the credit issues going over and over again which should never happen, we will learn more about the rules and learn how to avoid this kind of thing happen again, sorry for bringing so many troubles to the community.

  14. See, that's the thing though, to the person who is wronged by issues like these, where someone takes your effort and claims it as their own there is in fact harm done. What people fail to realize is regardless of the items in question, someone put the time and effort into making them happen. In most instances, all that would have to be done is to ask "hey can I use this particular item for my modification, I want to use it as *whatever unit they want*". Most people out there in this community would say, sure just give me credit for my part in it, and they're more than willing to share. But when people directly copy or just take items someone else created without their consent it's offensive to those who did put the time into it originally, and in the instances where it goes further than just not crediting but in fact claiming total responsibility for someone else's work that is salt into the wound for the original creators. The "wasnt much harm done" argument even though it is unintentional, dis-respects the original individual's time and effort invested (no matter how much or little was actually involved) and will ultimately lead to people being less inclined to create new content if they believe that in the end others will just take it without consent and in some instances claim it as their own. If you want a community with little to no content available for it (and even less brand new content), this type of conduct is the recipe to lead to that environment. We did not terminate this mod for this incident, where we potentially could have, but instead we are giving them the opportunity to correct the situation, and that ultimately means removing the content involved and any other related materials from the author who was wronged in this situation. We could have went further with the issue but instead are trying to be as minimally damaging as possible, while also holding the persons at fault accountable for their intentional wrongdoing. It is not a misunderstanding to take the time to open another's work up and take materials off of it and place it onto your own work without permission, then deny the fact you did such behaviors. Hopefully in the future moving forth this modification and it's authors will recognize the way things have been for this community and remember in the future going forth to always ensure through the readme or direct-pm's to the authors of other content that they A. Have permission to use it and B. what conditions must be met in order to use the content.

  15. That's great that you guys have videos of lights that will hardly work in free play. This is how it is though. On that level, that many polys and lights will cause the game to crash. Next up you guys haven't completed projects so far nor shown any sort of modeling or mapping skills such as pathing or anything on that level. Lighting is fairly easy, just time consuming if you want to make something look good, not much of a mod skill. What can be shown for the progress of this mod to say that you guys won't quit it and start a brand new one next week?

  16. Thanks itch Yes, I have modeled quite a bit of stuff and I do tons of lighting. An example of some of my modelling is in northview : south county which we released to the community. I modified helljumpers old engine and uv mapped it(it was horrible to uv map), created a station and a bunch of other model edits as well as editor work and tons of lighting. That is quite an old example though. I have a bit of stuff I haven't released to the community at this point. Almost, there is now 2 projects that we know of that he started and hasn't completed.

  17. The fact that people are trashing it. Isn't gonna stop me from supporting a mod of my Hometown. Whether he completes it or not. I'm just happy someone thought about making it. And those upset that someone posted their opinion that was "harsh". The person who posted it doesn't care. Like the common saying goes,"Opinions are like A**hole, Everyone got one." If you like the mod, then support it no matter what people post. If you don't like it, then don't follow it. I'm just understanding of all the people involved. The Creator and the Supporters. I just want everyone to treat each other with respect. Thats my two cents. PS: Video of an Engine and Medic lights for reference...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJ0m6AOhl84
