swatlord Posted October 29, 2009 Report Share Posted October 29, 2009 I have a better solution, I take the time to help people here all the time by provide fixes, script things for others, so instead of generally telling every one to go do something for there selves, why dont you step up to the plate and help out if you think you know so much.To be clear, I never said I knew everything, but I did offer a simple fix; Open the video in a video editing program (like windows movie maker) and reduce the sound. If i'm not mistaken, there should also be an option to raise or lower the supervisor's volume in the game menu (not for certain)And Ive got a small idea: new clip with smth like : "Unclear situation. They are currently too quiet when you have your in game volume set where you want it to be. If an Engine or Ambulance is responding anywhere near your view, then the dispatch video is hard to hear.There is one other modification that would be outstanding in conjunction with the new videos. If the event on the mini-map would only start to flash and show its location after the video is done playing. I find that I can get to an event and start dispatching crews before the video is even over. It would certainly make it more realistic is someone could delay the map flash. I kept changing the em4 config file adding the settings based on what I saw here in the forum but could never get it to work. So when I started launching the game in "administrator mode", it was only then that I was able to see the camera zoom way in and way out. It worked beautifully. The only problem I discovered was that now the modified Supervisor Files don't work - no video or audio; the screen doesnt even come up. I only see the message at the top of the screen. I'm not sure what you mean to set those videos to run in admin mode. Is it because I resampled them that they are considered seperate files and therefore need to be configured (right-click, checkbox run as admininstrtor) to run in admin mode? Now, if I do disable UAC, will all apps run in admin mode automatically?EDIT: When I rightclick on the individual video (mpg), the options are not the same as if you were to right click on an application.
