Officer Will Troll
@ Station - Good, we're on the same page. Then there was really no reason for you to tell me I should make suggestions to improve an already stunning mod. Thats just retarded actually.~Will
firefighter111
NYC does not really have MCU's that are utilized like that. NYC doesn't have SWAT either, it has ESU which is much different. The FDNY has 5 MERVs (Major Emergency Responce Vehicles) which are MCUs, just with different names. Jakethejake
I apologize if this has been answered already, but are they planning on giving us the ability to choose what types of missions that we want to do from the main menu? This would be another nice touch, instead of having to open the game files.

I'll look back and if I can find the picture I will edit this post with a link to the picture.

Unit 42
i wonder if the ambulances are going to be the same unit number for example: 343On the pictures on the first page, it said EMS CITYWIDE so I think all of the ambulances will be the same number. firefighter111
i wonder if the ambulances are going to be the same unit number for example: 343It was discussed, but after they figured out how to do it, they decided to put the time and energy into developing new features. Kookas
About speed having to be changed in the unit file, what about in Winterberg mod? In that, cars go faster with blue lights and siren than they do without.

Are they like support vehicles?
Kookas
Satellite units are usually mobile command units, deployed to large scenes where it is necessary for a controller to get up close. They would really only serve a visual purpose here, because we'd already have all the commands as the player to dispatch more vehicles etc.

Kookas
Oh, I didn't notice that in any other mods. Perhaps it's that certain cars in Winterberg Mod go insanely fast when they have the lights on.Anyway, whatever you make of this mod, it's certainly going to stand out from the crowd with all the brilliant effort that's being put into it, even if it doesn't fix every problem EM4 presents. great guy
you know what would be a great idea? if you could put a urgency code on vehicles in NY MOD for example like: truck 10 respond code 3code 1= no lights or sirenscode 2= use of ocassional sirens and lights if neededcode 3= an emergency lights and sirens used
Unit 42
Press Here to see it. They're all macks.(all satellites)FDNY doesn't usse code 1 only 2 or 3. Also, the satellite your talking i=about is probably a mobile command center or something an FDNY SATELLITE is this. fireballthefiredog
No a satellight is used for big fires to get large ammounts of water onto the fire very quickly.

FFW TUT
the satellites are remaining of the the old super pumper system and consist of two components... the satellite itself and a 2000 gpm engine which is assigned to the satellite company (because the satellite Co's do not have their own pumps), also each satellite has a backup engine company (in case of sat1 its e24). the stang intelligiant monitor on top also has different changeable tips and is capable of flows, for example, up to 4700 gpm through a 3 1/2-inch tip. MikeyPI
*sighs everywhere is different on terminology... Satellite in general usage is litterally a mobile comm vehicle, usually arrayed with cameras, antennas, and dishes for massive communications output... In NY's case, they refer to a purdie toy truck that is basically a spraying machine meant to hose something down... Perhaps it's how they clean the streets after New Years=)
