  1. Ok. It is from a major city in one of these 4 states - Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee Volunteer Dept. in Michigan
  2. You will have to load a new mod. Just create one using the modifications menu and copy any files you need from the game folder to your mod folder.
  3. Leicestershire Fire and Rescue? and maybe incident commander/fire chief
  4. No idea. And the numberplate is really helpful.
  5. Wow. It looks really cool And I like the lightbar and alternating headlight radiation on the Fire truck.
  6. http://seoroot.com/blog/driver-downloads/acer-aspire-4736z-drivers-for-windows-xp-download.html Download and install the 'Intel Chipset Driver'
  7. I'm not Gerard but seeing as I commented on it before it looks a lot better and you couldn't read the navigation bar where it has Forums, Members, Downloads etc. and the breadcrumb navigation was cleaned up from overlapping. Maybe just one minor thing but I would like to see the profile info and the post separated a bit more. BTW, I see that Xplorer and I have a reputation of 1 although you must have given it as I cannot use the feature.
  8. Either IPB or a new one, as the Velvet ones are hard to read and messy but the IPB is neater.
  9. Sound good. That way units will be spread more evenly around the map. Does CHP or LAAP have there own parking spot rather than going to the LAPD station?
  10. Do you have any links or pics? Black isn't the safest colour!
  11. I normally make a copy of the the details - door handles etc. and go around them carefully while using the paintbucket on the car. When I am done I just put the door handles back where they came from.
  12. You would have definitely renamed it correctly and unpacked it, but maybe you accidentally had overwritten or renamed the wrong file back to dds. What I do is copy the dds file to C:\ and rename it to v3o there. Then I go into the editor and without loading the Los Angeles mod I go unpack file, C:\, bpat_tahoe.v3o and close the editor, rename back to dds and open it (in Paint.net
  13. I thought that would probably be the case but once you get to know about how EM4 works that hopefully it should point you in the right direction. I will be creating a submod that uses this principle to have different sirens for different vehicles.
  14. Alright I had forgotten what I had done to install it as I was trying all these things so I had no idea aswell.
  15. I have not tried any of this I have found alot of topics on how to add vehicles from scratch, but so far nothing about just changing existing vehicles around. Is it possible to take civilian vehicles already in the mod and make them into police vehicles? Like just for example say take the F350 and make it playable as a police unit. I could add the commands so it has options for siren/lights and such as long as it wouldn't require scripting. If this is even possible would anyone be willing to tell me how to do it? You would copy the model and texture files for the vehicle from the civilian to the police folder and you are basically still adding a new vehicle from there on.To make it easier you could clone an existing prototype from another police vehicle and change the model files, lights, wheels and children but the commands will still be in tact. You would then continue on from thistutorial Another question I have, is it possible to have multiple colors on a police unit, the FBI suv is black, but there is other color tahoes under civilian so would it be possible to make it like a random color when you call the FBI suv so you might get a black one a white one etc. or would you have to make each different colored vehicle have their own seperate stuff and portrait in game to call it. Once again, you can copy the FBI suv model and texture files and rename them to something like fbi_tahoe_red.v3o, fbi_tahoe_red.dds or something. You will probably have to do this doors aswell. Reskin your vehicles to whatever colour you want and make sure the model files are going to the right texture. (Open with notepad and you should see it there. Make sure all files have been unlocked in the editor) You can then clone the prototype and add the right colour doors and name the new prototypes to something useful. In the unit.xml file for the FBI suv change change add an alternative prototype for the campaign and freeplay. It should work the same way as it randomly chooses a male or female LAPD officer so have a look at the unit.xml file for them
  16. The texture for the uniforms in game aren't complete anyway - all the lines etc don't join up so hopefully the new ones are easier to make.
  17. Install this mod then run the updater again http://aspirator.web-desk.de/files/onlineupdate.e4mod
  18. I thought so. My second guess would have been the texture but seeing it only happens when you zoom out It might be something to do with your graphics setup on your computer. Does it show up like this any other times like in the EM4 editor or any other program that it can be exported to?
  19. It would be better if just the + button was enabled, but not the -
  20. Huh? What do you mean. Are they getting new uniforms?
  21. Are they welded together? It might be that they need to be welded or the polygons moved closer togethor.
