Models (People, vehicles, building) Disappearing
Xplorer4x4 replied to Aflac's topic in Technical Related Support
I assume you mean Vmware when you say emulation? I realize it is more convenient but this leads me to believe even more so it is a heat related issue. VMware in its own right is a resource hog and top that off with Windows..(XP,Vista,7? - Doesnt really matter most likley but never know, if you had furnished a dxdiag like I asked this would be noted in there - another reason a dxdiag would be nice, last time I ask btw) and the fact your running it inside OsX is going to chew through your ram like nothing. You really need 4GB or more if you plan to use emulation, and really I wouldnt build a PC with less then 4 GB these days with the exception of a low end seedbox or something like that. -
Thats not la Mod related most likley, so its tech help issue but read this. http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/forum-42/announcement-4-read-before-requesting-assistance/

Why not look in the submods section yourself and find out?

Why wouldnt you want to switch to MyBB when Stan had already paid $100+ for IPB and only has to pay $100(i think less) a year to keep IPB. Thats around $8 or less a month to keep IPB which has much as I dont care that much for IPB its far better MyBB.

your on a mac...and? You have to use bootcamp/windows to play em4 anyways don't you? If some how your using emulation, then that's going to be major stress on the cpu. Hints overheating. The logfile is created by the games installer usually so if your playing the game these thigns, logfile and dxdiag should be just as applicapble to you. The main thing I was looking for in the dxdiag was that your gpu driver is up to date although I still believe its overheating. The fact your using a laptop/macbook makes me even more suspicious of over heating. Laptops don't make good gaming devices. Your best bet is to make sure it is on a hard flat surface when gaming. Also. Not sure but something like rivatuner or speedfan may be of use to. -
Sorry Francis, he just sets him self up for these kinds of comments.

LA Mod 4x4 w00ds Map v1 Submod Preview
Xplorer4x4 replied to Xplorer4x4's topic in Submods [Not released]
Just to update you guys, making more progress. I decided to use a different "special door" script which was made by a-rescue. I am still playing around with the specifics on it but atm I am focusing on the ambulances. It needs a little more tweaking but as it is, when medics/emts go to grab the stretcher, the rear doors will pop open and stay open until you put a patient in the ambulance. Also, thanks to w00ds for supplying the map texture I decided to remove the roundabout intersection. It never seemed very LA to me. Plus it was always a traffic hazard. For the most part it functioned fine, but sooner or later a traffic jam always happened here because one of the big semi/lory(sp?) trucks would come through and didnt have clearance to make it around the fountain. So now it functions like a regular intersection. Making some path adjustments since traffic merging on the highway gets stuck very very often. -
There is a search thread function in the top right corner. But what do you mean about the EMS Supervisor? Do you see a blue box or what?
-
dxdiag is only half of the diagnostic report used to find problems. Stan asked you a question. You have made 4 posts since then and havent bothered to answer him yet so I give up. Keep spamming the thread asking for help. You dont want it that bad if you cant bother to answer after all this time.

It doesnt matter if they meet the specs. You could have 4 Core i9cpus and 4 5870 gpus but there useless if they dont have sufficient cooling, but hey I guess you dont want help that bad if you cant provide a dxdiag and logfile when asked. I was trying to help but if you cant be asked to help us help you, there is absolutely nothing we can do. We could guess, but we could drag this thread on for ages with a guessing game before finding a working solution. With the info provided, the most likley culprit sounds like it is an over heating issue. -
What was so inaccurate about it? Granted, it is a tv show, a drama at that, and going to be doctored up for TV but so what. Mercy i didn't care much for. Seemed to much like a chick flick to me.

Ok just wanted to hear it from a reliable source. Nothing personnel shadow but it wouldnt be the first time some one has stated something when they do not have the slightest clue as to what there talking about.

lol couldn't agree more.

So I assume he is correct that IRL all ladders carry hurst tools?
-
^I wouldnt assume. Drivers are the solution about 90% of the time when theres a crash to desktop.
-
Why would you need to do that? Also just tweak the resolution setting to your liking.
-
^um what are you talking about? He hasnt released part 2 yet, and who says he wont post the download link in the first post when
-
Just a few things I wanted to point out. Cones - Um I havent used them in ages but last i checked you were able to drop three or four at a time, unless I am confusing them with flares. FBI - FBI does not get involved in your typical hostage affairs. If it is a bank, they will be involved, I believe, due to a bank being federal property, but yeah I dont think there job usually deals with hostage situations. Red Cross Hummer - It does have blue lights, well red lights technically, but it is just the two big spotlights on the front bumper and they flash very slowly back and forth.

I already instructed you on finding all the info you need if you will follow the advice given to you. You might even find the answer to your problems with out our help.

No problem. Sometimes newer drivers dont play well with EM4. I wouldnt think that would be the case here, but guess I was wrong, enjoy.
