  2. I dont think that can be done. Thats how they are in the LA Mod so surley if they didnt have to be that way hoopah would close the gap.

  4. ^from what I have seen many mods use atleast a few default units. Some reskin, some may alter the lights, etc. Of course I dont play any other mods then the LA Mod but I am judging from the screen shots.

  6. Yeah I didnt know what it was so i just called it sand You get the idea though of how its handled here in most cases. In some cases if its handled by a county dept they do have HES type trucks, well some do. In such case they might just dispatch the HES, but I cant go into details on that. Thats what i said isnt it?
  7. Never that I know of. Not hear atleast. A pumper would be dispatched and they would put down sand or something like that let it soak up, and then they clean it up with a shovel. We have an old 80's Ford School Bus(short bus) for hazmat and I have only seen it code 3 to an event once or twice and that was back during the big anthrax threat like 5-10 years ago.
  8. I dont see why you cant reskin the games default units. Look at the LA Mod, the crane and the bridge layer are both reskins. There may be one or two other mixed in there as well but those are the ones I know for sure.
  9. What map are you guys using then? And where about are these MVA car fires. I have used the LA Mod Freeplay map, LA Mod Deluxe Map, and Woods non-deluxe and deluxe map. None of which I have ever gotten fires at an MVA. I never dispatch the fire engines for MVA. I have a HES scripted to park out side both stations so when theres an MVA I dispatch the HES and save my fire trucks for the actual fires. The heavy rescue crane is also parked outside that station so in some cases I can just send the HRC since it has the jaws of life and 2 firefighters in it. For car fires I typically send my engines though just because the deck gun is equipped and saves me having to equip a fire extinguisher.
  10. Well I recall reading awhile back that a certain pirate site based out of sweeden bought(i think) an abandoned oil rig that they were fixing up and making into its own country, so I suppose that atleast some of them are left abandoned.
  11. To the best of my recolection none of the current maps have fire risk at wrecks. You may get a vehicle fire but never as part of a vehicle collision right? Gas leaks would be perfect. Similar to on EM3 the mission that the tanker crashes into the house. If you do it right the gas trail never gets fully ignited.
  12. The underground cant be edited in such a way I dont believe. Please correct me if I am wrong.
  13. I like alot of extractions. I mean sure it would be nice to have some sort of alternative where some one was say just trapped and the FFs could simply pull them out but since its not an option I think alot extractions are as real as it can get. Heres an idea, since car fires are possible combine this with wrecks. If fire personnel are not on scene quick enough to extinguish the fire then BOOM and you are now faced with even more casualties.
  14. By default i doubt its possible to use different tones. Now it may be possible to code that in very easily but I have never looked into that part of the script so I cant really say.

Just below the text editor you will see browse,upload and other things related to attachments. Just click browse. Find the File. Click ok and click upload. Then its here for everyone who wants it.

  18. I never see volunteers responding code 3 here. Typically they drive a full size pick up with a blue light on the dash. I am going to say theres atleast 5 on duty as now that I think about it when they responded for that minor medical the other night they had about 5 FFs, and I know the primary engine holds 6 or 7. I cant recall if there was 4 ot 5 seats in the rear. Plus the county/city doesnt do medical transport. Its all AMR except 1 county station which has a Chevy C5500/EVI walk-in Medium Rescue and I found a video from a few weeks ago where they were loading a patient in the back.

  20. I finally saw him out earlier. It was indeed an OD. He said it was zanax and beer. He doesnt look like him self either. But hes doing better so thats good. Thanks for every ones input.
  21. Hoopah have you tried something like Notepad2 for editing your xml and script files. I think you will find it much more usefull then wordpad as it is specifically designed for such things as C++, php and so on.
  22. I doubt it. It may be a mater of choosing the right option. For example a vehichle needs the TFM trait in order to drop the motor boat in the water,and a firefighter cant enter a cop car. So make sure it has the same traits as like an LAPD officer, or CHP officer.

  24. Did you edit the persons traits to make them recognize by the game as a cop? Find the edit traits menu and the ability is in there.
  25. Hmm my guess would to be look in the scripts folder for the la mod, and find one called heal or laheal. I dont feel like getting my script out at the moment but I may check back latter and see if you found what you need in there.
