Why would you want to delete the original missions? If you ha LA Mod and the mission patch you can just skip down the list to the LA Mod missions. Deleting the original mission would probably screw up the game(just a guess).

I wonder if it may be a codec issue. If i recall I had problems with that codec with EM4. Wipe out your codec pack. All you need is ffdshow. It needs to be configured to handle the video codec of EM4(i forgot what that is). My guess is if your paying attention to frame rates you know how to do such things -
^scripted spots are nicer though imo But unless the police stations changes dramatically I am sure it will have a place. It has on all the other maps.

Just to add onto what monkey said, i am pretty sure thats impossible. Even if it were possible that would be a whole shit load of work for hoopah and team..granted everything they do is a shit load of work, but it would be far far far above the call of duty. Its a good idea, I love the idea, but I am pretty sure it is close to impossible if not completely impossible.

^What do you mean exactly? Theres 2 dds files for the water tender: water_tender.dds and water_tender2.dds both of these are for the same truck, so you have to edit both to fully repaint the engine.

Its not "hard" it just a waste of our time when you have 2 topics asking the same question and getting the same response twice. We are nice enough to help you and you waste our time. The same converter your already using. Your not following the directions. Edit the DDS file by converting it to png using DDS Converter. Paint it. Convert it back to DDS and leave it alone. You should check the tutorial section here. Long story short you need to use the editor to create a e4p file. Oh and if your changing the names of the dds files you also need to open the v3o and change a line of code in there to point to the new dds file. -
If you have already got reskins done you should know where files are by now BTW, are you taking pics of your screen with a camera or something? Use fraps as bama said, or take screen shots.

Highways and Expressways Modding

I doubt i need to add anything to what mikey said. Mikey you do a great job of explaining in detail where problems lie. I can say this, i know on woods maps over passes can be a bit difficult to dispatch units. For example where the road dips under the highway there is a bush crash in this spot, and you have to make sure to dispatch the unit to an area of highway thats ground level. One problem with over passes is merging traffic will sometimes collide with high way traffic. I suppose if you mapped the paths to enter the center lane near ramps, then cross back over to the right lane, that might aliveate the problem to a degree. Also, when dealing with a 4 lane road, redirecting traffic can be tricky some times to depending on the congestion. Typically both lanes try to turn around at once and the they get stuck so you have to move an officer in place and redirect them again. -
Not quite understanding but the LA missions should be located after the games last default mission(the one which ships with the game).

When you can put do the kind of work hoopah does, then come talk about whats taking so long. Well when you come with an attitude like that when there is plenty of information provided here explaining the progress, expect every one to jump on you. Hoopah has explained when you make such comments, it ruins the enjoyment of creating stuff like this for people who cant. It makes him not want to continue. Asking for progress and bitching its not done are two other things. Many of us here want to make mods like the LA Mod but with out hoopahs work alot of what we are planning to accomplish wouldnt even be possible. Sure some others here may be able to do some of the scripting work hoopah has but no one elses posses the vast knowledge of scripting like hoopah does. So sit back, and relax. If you dont like the wait, make your own mod, or you could even reskin hoopahs units to resemble units from another US city to pass the time. Its not the same, but it seems to hold myself others over between LA Mod releases when we dont have new toys to play with courtesy of Hoopah and team.

Well only the sheriffs have full LED set ups here. Well the state boys do to i think. The police use an MX7000 Blue/white/red. Shiefes are using whelen edge I think. Most firetrucks use MX7000 but we have a few engines from the 80s that still use bubble lights and some older bars I am not sure the name of(see here), and the BCs mostly use vector light bars.

Follow bamas instructions. You wont find any thing about the dds file in the editor because all the info to combine the 2 dds is tucked inside the v3o files.

^for me it depends how their positioned. If its set up where I have to look into the lights to be bale to see the road and vehicles in front of me, then it kills me.

On the edit vehicle screen, does it say aligned corners? If so click the circle for use phsyics.

Maybe you should consider working on something more practical. Nothing really comes to mind except Dogg the Bounty Hunter lol. This was a good effort.
