  2. http://i.imgur.com/rkva6uq.jpg http://i.imgur.com/RcwTxjC.jpg Pics dont really do it justice..
  3. I dunno how! A for effort but F for fail. That's like telling your average joe to o remove the air intake tube, the catalytic converter and so forth, from their car. They are going to look at you with a very dumb founded look lol.
  4. Any chance of a reputable file host? The onyl option I saw suing there download manager, which got flagged as a trojan. Probably a false positive but not worth the risk. Apreciate the share though!
  5. First: This didn't turn out to be an incident but pretty close. I was younger, maybe 15 at the time. My Dad and I used to go out of town on fishing trips over the summer. We went to Santee Cooper Resivor in South Carolina. This was a very back woods part of SC, very racist, and very rural with the metro area consisting of some fast food chains and national store chains(Walmart, Home Depot, etc) based around an interstate teeing off at a stop light with a highway. My Dad was very pro gun and raised me around guns(the right way!). We were sitting in McDonald's drive through. A group of thugs and there thugettes were hanging out in the parking lot on the window side of the store. My Dad handed the cashier a $100 bill. She must have signaled one of the guys. He came up to the rear drivers side of the corner and was trying to get the cashier to come to the windows. We could actually feel the car moving from where he was rubbing up against it. My dad reaches his right hand around to the storage compartment on the car door. CLICK CLACK! Loud and clear he cocked that gun(I believe it was a .38, maybe a 9MM). The guy smartened up and backed off. Incident avoided. Had Subway employees not been making sandwiches with their bare hands, we would not have gotten in that mess.. Second: 2 Apt Complexes located on opposite sides of a 2 lane street. Working fire. FD hooks up a supply line to the hydrant which is on the opposite side of the road from the working fire. PD was dispatched to block the road, but where they parked was right buy the parking lot for the complex with the working fire. The entire width of the parking lot directly bordered the street(so think of 3 builds in a U shape with a big concrete surface in between. Another officer was on scene standing next to the cruiser talking the the officer in the drivers seat. Some young chick stops for the cop car blocking the road for the supply line. However due to the giant concrete pad of parking lot she actually starts to drive up around the cops. The cop outside shines his flashlight while the officer in the car shines his tear drop spotlight at the woman driver. She stops and rolls her window down and asks "can I go through here?" She turned around but seriously...
  6. Are frozen hydrants a common problem up that way this time of year?
  7. I dunno about you but I much prefer the blue on white scheme rather then the old gold/orange on navy blue. Gold/navy blue wasnt to bad but the orange on navy blue was one of the ugliest I have ever seen from any department!
  8. Any one have any old prototype files of the BLS Ambulance from the numerous light packs release from the likes of CFD, Ocram(sp?), or any one else over the years? If so please post them here! Much appreciated!
  9. Any chance of a video teaser(not a full preview)? Sorry but screen shots really don't give us much to go on in this case. Last I recall you were becoming pretty good so anxious to see how you have improved.
  10. Last I recall Hoppah gave permission for others to use stuff as they want as long as credit is given.
  11. Did you read the instructions in the OP(original post)?
  12. Clean install or upgraded(win7->win8/8.1)? Nice catch, thanks!
  13. As I said, short answer yes that was his problem. Being that the 4x4 submod is my project, or was anyway, I think I know how things work. Technically 99% of submods will all work together, but it requires editing scripts, XML files, etc.If goog has made patches, then great, Otherwise I will stick the the short answer. Not because I am an asshole, but because I simply don't feel like taking the time to hold some ones hand while making this compatible with my submod or any other submod.
  14. Not 100% sure but basically an NYPD officer was parked at a working fire, and for any number of reasons the AO of the truck decided to put the outriggers/stabilizers down through the NYPD squad car.
  15. http://www.policemag.com/channel/vehicles/news/2013/06/14/lapd-purchases-nearly-200-dodge-ford-patrol-vehicles.aspx Pics werent much help but a little google web searching ended up pointing me to this. So they picked up mostly Chargers and a few Ford PIs.
  16. I know it's to late but for others that might want to get ideas from your build, I have a few suggestions. MSI Mobo - Yeah questionable is an understatement imo. I had 3 DOA MSI's on my last upgrade. I have gone gigabyte now and not looking back. HDD - Western Digital is the best bet imo. Seagate second and Samsung was making quality drives for awhile but I believe they sold them off. SSD - Intel may not make the fastest SSDs but they have the most reliable controller on the market. Intel seems to have the least failure rate on the market. Samsung would be a good choice as well. They make great NAND these days but again the controller software/firmware is not the absolute best. PSU - Major over kill. A quality 700 or 800 watt would have been fine and still left you head room. I am running a Core i7 2600K with a Raedon HD 7700, 8 GB RAM, 4 WD HDDs and 2 Intel SSDs. This is off a Corsair 520 Watt PSU. Plus it uses a single 12v rail unlike the Rosewill 1000w PSUs I glanced at. A single 12v rail is always better then multiple. On this I love Corsair! This thing has held up through a mini fire(reversed wiring when trying to fix a fan wire) and 7 years of 24/7 abuse.
  17. I think that it is almost standard practice in the US to see Fire respond to MVAs. Maybe not always in an engine though. I was takeing pics out at one of the county volly stations a few years ago when they got an MVA call with no extrication. They sent 4 or 5 guys so sending the rescue unit was out of the question as it is a 2 man cab. Could have sent the engine, could have sent the quint(but really would have been unpractical imo), but they responded code 3 in a Ford F350 Rescue unit(similar to the HES from the LA Mod). In the city though an Engine or a Quint(most stations contain only a single engine or quint) almost always responds to MVAs. If extrication is needed, one of two rescue trucks are dispatched. Ambulance service is handled by AMR both in the city and county(with one exception of part of the county).
  18. And you felt the need to bump this..why?
  19. Just fyi your attachment must have died in the forum crash the other day. Was anxious to take a look at it.
  20. I have been looking around and seen at least 1 Interceptor and a few new Chargers. Are they feeling both them out for now?
