lol, how do you miss the turn to the hospital? :grinsevil:

:P it wasn't the turn to the hospital.

This vito is from the MMT (Mobile Medicale Team). they are specialists from the hospital. normaly they fly in an helicopter but if i is in the city where the helicopter stands they come with an vito.

found this youtube clip and i dont think that i am saying too much if i say that the driver of the mercedes viano ambulance is having a very bad day :)

Mercedes Vito

It is not an ambulance, it's a transporter for Emergency crew, the same crew as in our Helicopters.

He didn't miss the turn to an hospital either, they responded to a call

EDIT: Samabith was faster :D

A real accident with a dutch ambulance: http://www.mijnalbum.nl/Album=8SYOECT8

And btw, those strange traffic lights are called "Bussluizen", they prevent that cars go toward it, unless you have a card for it. The second car thaught he was fast, but that thing was faster and he crassed agains it.

A picture of a Bussluis: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...55/Bussluis.jpg

Nothing wrong with the lights. First car waited until the lights were green and the barrier was down. The second car had to wait until the lights become green again, because that's the whole point of the barrier; 1 car at a time. The lights were red when the second car hit the barrier. These barriers are designed to prevent people from taking alternative routes (besides highways) during rushhours. Welcome to the Netherlands.

^wtf, I bet they never run a red light again. I wish we had those here as it would cut back on people running red lights. Our city streets simply arent designed to handle the volume of traffic they receive. Last summer was HORRIBLE. There was road construction on literally every major road leading from east to west, and for the first time in history they actually worked on the expressway 24/7 to get it done. One lane closed in each direction during the day and 2 closed at night. The whole reason they worked on the express way was because they didnt level the pavement right in many places. Not to mention there are traffic lights every few miles so you never get far with out a stop light turning red and pissing you off. To top that semi drivers know my city as stop light city. Seriously..any one from the US with that knows a truck driver, ask them about stop light city.

Sorry for the rant but our city gets more fucked up by the day :@

^wtf

If I'm correct in thinking, some cities in England have pop-up bollards that only allow busses through. Look on youtube, and you'll find videos of cars and SUVs trying to chase behind the bus, only to be spiked by the bollard lol.

To be honest, it's not a very obvious/big enterance to the hospital.

Stan said 3 days ago that it is not the hospital the vehicle is en route to (and think about it, why would the 2 emergency vehicles later leave the "hospital" with light and sirens?) :)

Reading and attention is not my strong point ¬¬ Sorry for missing that.

To prevent cars driving towards it, so the road is only for the people who live in that street or prevent that many people take that road as a alternative

Crashing an ambulance? Sounds like somethign I'd do, I flipped my supervisors car into a ditch once, and she was less then pleased...

Weird hobby. I hope he didn't stole them. :scared:
got the 3M from Scott Signal Company out of Missouri (Google "Scott Signal", its the first one that comes up). At the time I paid $90 for it. But 3Ms have becoming rare since they stopped being made in 2004. Scott signal has a limited inventory of stuff recently and 3Ms have increased to $150-200 in price. Theres a few on ebay recently too, in decent shape.

he didnt steal them (i think :P)

i was at a house once where they had (in the basement) a traffic light hooked up outside the bathroom down there, and when you shut the door it turned to red and when it was open it was green. forget what the yellow was though :nixweiss:
