Hoppah does not want to add one since it really does not add much to the game, realistically there would be no difference between a shotgun and a handgun to the game, yes he could up the damage inflicted but that would make the MP5 obsolete, thus no longer special. Guest Battalion 1 Posted June 8, 2008 Report Share Posted June 8, 2008 a few ideas for the new 1.6 mod. -how about a foam truck to put out fires that are quickly going out of control.-as far as new calls what about a CO2 activation that has everyone passed out in the building which would be a good reason for the firemen to pack up.-Change the lights on the battalion chief vehicle to LED lights-Have more fires that require an interior attack, and sometimes have the building collapse while fighting the fire which would be a good reason to have a RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) to pull the firefighters out to safety.-more truck company operations such as vent the roof and search & rescue. IT's not exactly an ideal vehicle for transporting your average shoplifter to county jail. I believe the bus belongs to the LASD correctional services division, thus is not a regular police unit. CO2 (carbon DIoxide) is everywhere.. it's in your lungs, it's in your bloodstream. You even breathe it in. Air is only 20-21% oxygen, the rest is CO2, nitrogen, etc. CO2 is the byproduct of cellular respiration.CO (carbon MONoxide) is not everywhere. It is the byproduct of incomplete combustion. It is not normally found in biological life, and affects the body differently. Where as CO2 is transported in the blood and let off at the lungs to be exhaled, CO attaches to the blood and ISNT offloaded to the lungs. You do not breathe it out, it just keeps going around, taking a spot that COULD have been used for an oxygen molecule. Unless youre have some sort of lung-disease, or trapped in a really small space, its practically impossible to die by CO2 suffocation. CO suffocation is alot more common, because the lung mistakes it for O2, and acually think its a "new and better" O2, and where its possible the lung rather wants to breathe CO than O2, making it take up less O2, even if O2 is in the air. Youre alot more likely to die from starvation or dehydration than suffocation when trapped. Anyway, ill repeat the poster over me, and say; lets get back to topic. I know it's a lot of work to mod and stuff but it would be nice to have a shotgun that all police officer could get from they're car like the MP5. You may ask what is the point in it since the handgun already are in the game. Well, it brings realism, and it is more deadly than the handgun. So what do you think?I think a shotgun is a good idea. You could make it so the shotgun has a short range, (shorter than an MP5 or a sidearm) and no armed arrest. The damage could be put inbetween a sidearm and an MP5, and the officer could shoot without aiming. You could also make the shotgun so it stops cars with two or three shots, much like how a car stops when it runs over spikes. This way there would be an incentive to use the shotgun to stop cars, but the short range would discourage people from using it like a sidearm. Changing the map is _much_ work, so I guess Hoppah would like to reduce it to the absolute neccessary.5. Already included in upcoming 1.6.6. Also included in upcoming 1.6.7.
