denicz
it will be an endless game based off of mission scripts, but you will only have one call at a time because you have to do much more for each call in this mod.it´s super
firefighter111
Manuel looks great guys! One question, for the ladder will you have the switchbox (controls to the ladder) or whatever it's called (been awhile) be something to be controlled or no? Plus, how's the NYPD looking? Or is that another secret ?I would guess that you won't be able to control the ladder because there are too many variables (power lines, trees), and also, there are animations that are based off how the ladder is placed, like the firefighters climbing up and onto the building, you wouldn't want your FFs to be climbing up the ladder and then disappear and reappear somewhere else, like the motorcycle cop used to in the LA mod. Sgt.Wulf
Like Final Fantasy XIII, or OFP Dragon Rising? They were long time in the waiting, with huge hype and they all turned out great! No, wait, they did not.
Shadylasse
Well it seems that you all has the understanding that the mod has been in progress for 3-4 years, well, you're right but wrong on the same time. FFW TUT stated in the statement found on the first post in the topic, that this concept we are working on right now was started at the beginning at the summer. Although, I don't think any judging would have a meaning before you really know the project. Just a little heads-up.

Just a little heads-up.I don't think he was necessarily judging the mod itself, he was just saying that you can't assume that since something taking so long to create and it has so much hype, it's going to be amazing, like the examples he gave. I personally believe that this mod is going to be very good, and will be up in the same category with the LA mod and Winterberg.

firefighter111
What is an alpha response? It depends on where you are, my county uses it as non-emergency. i.e. "Attention ABC ambulance, alpha response for a lift assist, 123 smith street for a 55 year old male who fell out of his wheel chair." erfd
They said it depends on the area the map is based on. If there is a fire dept in the location in real life, there will be one on the map. (We dont know where the exact map is based on.)
jsutton
have they said how many firehouse will be on the map? is every units house going to be on the map?I do know they are doing 100 Duane Street because I seen pictures of it. They have engines from manhattan, bronx, and chinatown on the first post so who knows which one they decide and how many exactly they are going to include. Tommy Gavin
I do know they are doing 100 Duane Street because I seen pictures of it. They have engines from manhattan, bronx, and chinatown on the first post so who knows which one they decide and how many exactly they are going to include. They also have the "Tenhouse" or at least their apparatus. I can imagine a Manhattan map, with 2 or max. 3 fire houses, and everything else is off map... We also need to consider, that NY is kind of unique, or at least different in this way, because most of the firehouses are small, with one or two cars. So maybe more smaller ones, e.g.: Rescue 1 has a single home, 100 Duane street is E-7 L-1 and BC-1, tenhouse is E-10 and L-10, these are still not much apparatus on the map comparing to other mods... If there is a fire dept in the location in real life, there will be one on the map. (We dont know where the exact map is based on.)There will be one map to start with, which will be the area around 100 Duane Street, but as time goes on, they will create more maps that will change as you play through the mod. So if you are playing a china town map, the dragonfighters will be on it, if you're playing a World Trade Center area map, the ten house will be on it, and so on.
