  1. California City Fire Dept. In south eastern Kern County That would be the old air rescue 19 I would imagine and this would be the new one, but I've found conflicting pics
  2. Sorry I wasn't paying attention when I looked at your earlier post I thought it said all the old white RAs were out of service, not just those with that light style. As for the CERT thing it was just a way to impliment them into the game, I noticed on both the CERT site and the BSS site they seem to work together a bit, also noting this press brief . Also for anyone who is curious about CERT and it's role at a fire scene read the bottom of the blog.

    NEW YORK MOD ?

At last I've seen only the EM3 mod is still in production, there is also an EM4 in production, not on this forum and not particularly promising, that is still in production. The Two EM4 NY mods have died of or are on hold for the foreseeable future. So The breakdown is: EM3 by Darren-NYPD and nfspdf: still alive and doing well last time I checked(ALIVE) EM4 by Martijntjuh: stopped due to loss of files and briefly restarted but then stopped again (DEAD) EM4 by Utrechtterror: stopped due to lack of time for modding (DEAD) EM4 by non forum member NYPD/911: alive but not promising the few screens I've seen have been of european police cars skinned for the NYPD and he's only just started and is having some trouble(ALIVE but questionable) *as a little side note please don't write in caps I hope this info helps
  4. Well thay aren't used as RAs anymore, but they still are used by the LAFD Bureau of Support Services*. So you could modify the skin slightly and make the old RA into SU1 or SU2 and have them as a rehab vehicle. That would require a script though. So instead, you could have it transport extra paramedics to to large disasters. I even made some CERT members to go with it. It could be a way have the old RA in the mod in a realistic role. But that's just my suggestion. *I realize those photos are 2 years old so if anyone knows they aren't in use please tell me.
  5. I think it's may be impossible to do, you should check with pumper42 Iknow he's tried to make a midmount before.....I have to ask are you making Kentland's tower or another stations?
  6. Today's pretty calm, a bit hot and muggy though. Two nights ago it was nuts...We had a tornado warning (thankfully no touchdowns). And massive rain and lightning. There were over 13,000 lightning strikes registered in our area over the storm. The fire departments were way overworked. I'd have to find an actual count but by my last count it was almost 50 working fires in the Columbus area plus a ton of vehicle accidents and a few water rescues. The county ran out of rescue trucks to dispatch, and some columbs stations were responding at least 15 miles outside of their jurisdiction. Even the militray fire department frim DSCC was out and about. Not many serious injuries though, I don't think there were any fatalities either, though 2 firefighters were struck by lightning in Zanesville, they should both be fine).
  7. I've trying to create some of the units from the LAFD BSS which are designated rehab vehicle. Form what I've seen of European units They all have some supplies. I think it really just varies from place to place but in some places like here in Columbus we have designated units, I know Erie doesn't and Johnstown didn't. In fact in Johnstown they just used the salvation army canteen unit. But the real question I'm trying to come up with is it better to simply give designated rehab units heal conmmands or create a new script based on something like the decon script?
  8. Yah I realized that when I typed it a while ago. I figured it was about the closet example I could come up with in foreign terms , though I'm sure there is a vehicle I'm not aware of.
  9. Yah I've been looking at that factor too...Hey we'll see what I can do I've been around alot of antique apparatus in my life and kow a good deal of firefighting history and history in general, so I figure I may stand a chance.
  10. Thank you again for the information Mike @Spaloo: if you look at the ingame screens thread I have few pictures of them posted
  11. You could feasibly do a mod (in the U.S. at least) from about 1915 or so on. for most of the twenieth century U.S> departments have been using motorized vehicles in some number, I've been playing with the idea of putting some classic units in game as soon as I pick up zmodeler....so we'll see. I agree Horses would be a near impossible to do, but a game set at that time would be cool and challenging.
  12. The Best program to use especially due to its price (Free) is Audacity, of course you'll also need a mic which I'm sure you have. The program isn't particulalry complex and very user friendly, even if you haven't use this type of software berfore. Of course there are more professional options too..... sonor, Protools, etc. but far more expensive and you don't need those features for simple voice editing. If you need anymore help with Audacity let me know.
  13. Ok that's what I thought the classifications were. This all came about from a news cast I saw on line when they showed BLM Firefighters training and Identified them as using type IV's even though they are probably type III's looking at their size.
  14. Great work Hoppah Ican't wait to use these guys instead of my crappy SWAT member reskin,
  15. I think It would be awesome to do a historic mod.( probably Impossible) Counrty: United States City: any major metroploitan area Time: 19th Century Specfic Items: horse drawn steamers, pump carts, hosecarts, compete to beat other fire departments to scene and get into fights with them when they arrive. Then have to face a real challenge of limited resources and technology. Really it wouldn't be worth doing if you didn't have to deal with water supply though.
  16. The Central Ohio Fire Aparataus muster was this past weekend so I have a few shots. 1918 ALF used by the united states military * very rare vehicle, the only military fire truck of it's age I've seen* More recently retired ALF foam tender from NY The brand new Columbus Fire Department Bomb Squad truck An ATF Pierce explosive investigation unit 1940's federal surplus Dodge Engine Old Pirsch Engine And while I was at show I spotted this on the back lot of the fire academy, I thought Mike might get a kick out of it old ANF Engine 21 and another USFS truck waiting to be sold to Ohio Fire Departments.
  17. Thanks for the compliment, I'll post some more screens later on.
  18. That could be cool I'm sure they have at least one tucked away,(probably in the USAR cache at station 88) I'll see if I can find a photo of it. I know that they also have at least one pickup truck with a light tower in back...I just saw a photo of it, if I find it I'll post it.
  19. If that's what he's asking you can convert models in at least some circumstances
  20. Yeah, I've edited some of them to create other vehicles and personnel not in the mod, I'm working on getting a few more in game and fixing a few glitches (the paramedics are glitchy, bu tthe tent works fine), and I will ask Hoppah for permisson to release them as a small mod for other players.
  21. Ok here are some new ones: LACoFD Squad 8, AMR and LASD respond to a person having seizures. Multipule agencies on scene of a large wildfire endagering homes LAFD Utility Support 1 satffed by CERT members establish a rehab station for units at the fire.
  22. In this case a rehab unit is used for emergency personnel, it is a vehicle that carries food and drink supplies some also carry cascade systems. They're kind of like a GW-Atemschutz from my understanding. In game they would have the ability to heal emergency personnel.
  23. A long time ago (about a year ago) someone requested a rehab unit for use in the LA Mod. Just out of Curiosity how would it work? Could you give the vehicle heal commaqnds or would you have to go and modify scripts, like a reverse heal where rescue workers come to the vehicle to get healed?
  24. Thank you, the walkarounds really helped. On a less Related topic what are the difference betweena Type III and a Type IV engine? Is it the euipment carried (I see that type IV's have a foam capability) or is is tank, crew capacity?
  25. Excellent Information. I'll go back and change engine skin, and I'll finish up the AMR one too. One last question who has the County contracts now? Once again thank you for the help, Nick
