  1. Speaking of electrical fires, will you have foam and water?
  2. The thing is, I don't think this is the ideal way. I would do it by putting a virtual object on the map for each person spawn, and then naming those objects. Then I would create a person directly on them. Like at the police station door: STR_VObjPersonstartpol Ambulance station: STR_VObjPersonstartamb Fire station: STR_VObjPersonstartfir Then I would use either switch cases or alot of if tests (I personally prefer if tests) to check if I'm calling a police car, an ambulance, or a fire engine. If I'm calling a police car, then I would do this: Vector pStartPos(STR_VObjPersonstartpol->GetPosition()); If I'm calling an ambulance, I would do this: Vector pStartPos(STR_VObjPersonstartamb->GetPosition()); And so on. Something along those lines, anyway.
  3. Why would they be too young to watch it? Is it a porno? Meh. Lots of NY mods by the way. I like all the scripts Maybe a dispatch script? :3
  4. Uhm, there probably are games featuring the holocaust... yes people died then but alot of people die everyday. For me, the main thing that makes me hate 9/11 is that it made so many racists. Because of 9/11, lots of Americans became racist towards Islam even though it's only the extremists who are terrorists. It kinda sucks, even though I'm not a Muslim I don't think you should hate so many people because of a select few of them.
  5. Well, you must first create an animation of the doors opening. How, I'm not sure, but if you have Microsoft Office, you can use Hoppah's tool, otherwise you have to do it manually somehow. Then, you use scripts in the AttachHose (or whatever) command script with the "SetAnimation" function and make it play the animation of the doors opening.
  6. If you send home a car, do the staff automatically get in before it drives off?
  7. I suppose so. Also, the police car I saw before, I think it was a Jaguar XF. Oh and I saw an Audi A6 Saloon ARV responding with a Volvo S60 RPU behind it the other day. Neat :> Oh yeah, and there's a thing on the Internet about West Midlands Police's Jaguar XFs.
  8. Then it's an illegal NYPD car. They're not allowed to have forward-facing blue lights. Rear-facing is fine, though.
  9. Yeah, I also saw a Traffic Data Unit today, had four red blocks of flashing LEDs on the back and a couple of blues.
  10. Also, today, I saw a modern high-speed sports car responding to a call with the new sirens the West Midlands Police are using and the same light set-up as the BMW traffic cars. Looked like a Jaguar or an Aston Martin. I'll have to look around.

    Animating 3D-Models

How would I go about manually animating something? I don't have space on my hard-drive to be putting on things like MS Office..
  12. I think he should perfect it first and release it when it's ready. Yeah you might be desperate for it, but when it comes out you'll realise the wait was worth it
  13. Use Polygon Edit mode in the Lights editor. Click Add Poly, and then click on three or more points on the car. You'll see white lines on the car form a shape. Move the green squares to modify your shape. The white lines define the light polygon. It would be easier with a video tutorial, really...
  14. One thing Winterberg mod does in its Gated Wye equivalent thing is it has a firefighter in control of the wye. He will stand and he will hold the hose, you can't move him unless you make him pack up the gated wye, then there's nothing left.
  15. Yeah, it's a European thing I think, we have metal mesh shields which we can pull down over the windscreen to protect it.
  16. Also, with NY Mod, I wonder, what about dead body reports and you have to get forensics to examine and find the murderer. Then you raid their house and take em downtown. I'm going to be playing this mod as much as Winterberg mod if not more when it comes it!
  17. I can't be bothered to post updates, still working on it though
  18. I don't see how you can oppose automatic packing up and going home, it's so boring and you have to ensure that no-one is left behind. In real life, people tend to know they exist, and can go to the fire engine themselves. Also, a little idea for a medical event: A call which is not life-threatening. For some reason, even when people have just been "slightly injured" from a fall, they're still bleeding out their life over time, which isn't realistic. If you're bleeding heavily enough to bleed to death from a fall, then that isn't a "slight injury". You should be able to respond to some medical calls without lights and sirens, but you can't normally because otherwise their condition gets too bad.
  19. Have you scripted the vehicles to return to base? Also, the helicopter place doesn't look so realistic - with all the trees, it would be a disaster waiting to happen... Criticism aside, I like what you did there.
  20. Jaja xD They both supplied positive statements regarding the content they were shown. I don't think their opinions differ too much.
  21. It looks terrible. It looks like crap, sorry. Personally, I despise cars that try to look "futuristic". They just don't. Slanted lights, delta-shaped fronts... just no... I'm not a fan of most cars of America, but I have to say that the Dodge Charger looks much, much better and much higher-quality. The thing about this car, is it looks like one of those cars that looks really fast, but isn't (even if it actually is). The cars that try too hard. Japan's starting to follow suit. I really hope Europe doesn't go that way.
  22. Maybe the German government feels it's a breach of security, or maybe Trosdorf emergency services don't want to be featured? A bit stupid though tbh.
  23. So long as when I press the parking button all the staff automatically pack up and get into their cars before it drives home, all is well for me...
  24. Yeah, it should be sprinter_door01 I hope you managed to fix it. Don't forget the number has to be two-digits, so if the number is less than 10 put a 0 before it.
  25. I agree, cars don't have flat sides. Eventually, with practice, you will be able to make good models. But yeah. Don't just shape the cars in the side view and then extrude them, shape them in all views, from the sides, the top and underneath, the front and back, in the 3d view ... there are three dimensions for you to play with and get the cars looking as they do in real life.
