I might release some more info at some point, but this is all I will give for now.

***SORRY FOR THE CRAP SONG, I KINDA JUST DROPPED A SONG IN IT AND, yeah***

Looks really nice. Where in Europe does this mod take place?

Really liking the volunteer personell script. Where did you get this?

  2. Could you please stop being demanding and very, very, rude, your opinion is not always correct and you need to learn that, from which your previous encounters you clearly haven't.

Looks great! Isn't Bama making a volly script you could use?

He is. Well....technically I'm the one making it but it will be in Montana v2.

  3. When EM4 came out, it took several years for actually good mods to come out. Most of the early mods were just skins. Many people only started modding once several authors who mastered the capabilities and limits of the game released several "pivotal" mods. For EM4, especially on this site, that would be the Los Angeles Mod by Hoppah. A lot of new mods coming out are based from the groundbreaking (at the time) content that was created for that mod.

Once EM5 comes out, I am pretty sure it would take quite a long time for us to begin to grasp the capabilities and limits of it. Perhaps a year or so before a major mod with many changes to the original content would come out. Most seasoned authors of EM4 mods would have to learn everything they know from scratch when upgrading to EM5.

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

    • EM5 is way better than EM4 in many ways. But it will take a lot of time for modders to fully utilize the EM5 editor.

    • EM5 will be released at the end of the month. Learning to mod any game takes much longer than that, so learning how to mod EM4 well is sorta out of the question.

    • Starting on modding EM4 is quite easy though due to the vast amount of content available for download here and on other websites.

    • But you can choose to learn EM5 when it comes out and mastering it completely. You can then use your experience and knowledge to create an awesome mod that could jump start the EM5 modding scene around the world.

    • At the end of the day, it is your call on what you want to do with your time.
  4. Well actualy we only need some map Adjustments like paths, accidents etc (idk how to do it)

    Sure Hang on!

Here is an album of some things we already have there's more but i cant make it form all we got :)

Some of these appear to be from my LA Police Upgrade mod.

Specifically, the Caprice, Taurus, HD Charger skin and Tahoe. CFD only allowed me to use and release his lightbars, antennas and spotlights. Do you have his permission for release?

Besides this, you have basically taken the skins I made for my vehicle pack and simply replaced the LAPD and LASD logos. At least change it to something more original. Even the roof numbers are the same.

You do get my permission to use the models I made/converted.

  5. From what I understand you've altered the model of the van at the rear end a bit, when you do this it will in turn wreak havoc on the uv map.. I have had the same issue happen before, the best way to fix it is in vertice mode in the UV mapper and to manually adjust out the error accordingly.  IF you don't wanna do that because you worry about the proportioning, the only way to fix it otherwise is to clear the whole UV for that zone and redo it again. Such is what sucks about a vehicle and the fact that you have to adjust it further once it's mapped, sometimes you gotta clear the UV on the zone u tampered with to repair the proportions and level it back out.  Generally with small glitches like what you've shown manually tweaking it in vertice mode in the UV will suffice to resolve it with minimal distortion if any at all.  You're talking about less than an inch of deflection.

My guess is the exporter rounds off the exported uvmap values for a v3o. While in zmod you can do the uvmap very precisely, the exported v3o doesnt do decimals. Therefore the exported files have rounded off uvmap values. They usually not noticable, but that may explain the slight distortation in v3o files

Thanks for the advice guys. I have fixed my issue by adding some compensation to the mapping (moving it a bit to the left than intended), which is explained by what Hoppah said about the mapping being rounded off. I never thought that the numbers in the .v3o file could have meant that much to appearances. Thanks also to EmC and bma for trying to help also.

  6. Hey guys.

Me and my friends are trying to create a hostage situation. Can anyone help us on how to do it, or the basics please? Also we where wondering if you can add more than one hostage taker instead of the normal one man with a hand gun.

    Thanks in advance. :)

How are you doing this? Using a mission script or is it in freeplay?
