  1. Yes its normal that they've disappeared. As for how to reactivate them I believe this would take quite a bit of messing around and I don't believe anyone has put the time/effort into doing it. Although I too would like to be able to play through the campaign like in the vanilla mod I've personally always considered it a small sacrifice for how much better the LA mod is.
  2. Make your own with Excel or Word.
  3. Looks really cool. The only suggestion I have might to be to take a look at the back tires on the command vehicle, they look a little off to me.
  4. I wish more of the mods on here were uploaded to Emergency Planet, I really don't trust most download sites, 4shared and Mega included.
  5. So to clarify your question you are wondering if we would prefer A: One model/skin for each type of car (example: MDPD Crown vic slick top) B: Multiple skins for each model that the only difference is the number on the unit ????
  6. My FD uses whatever passable gear that we can scrounge, borrow or procure from anywhere...
  7. Oh that's cool, and gives me a idea for a new incident/MVA. "Ambulance wreck during long-distance transfer" (just change the blood to mud lol)
  8. While many would argue against that simply as poor taste, I think the biggest argument against it is that it's just not in with the style of the mod (wilderness and park-ey)
  9. Blackwood County mod is already working on that very thing although the focus is more on the National Park Service but US Forest Service units will be included.
  10. '' I'd like to submit my actual gameplay pictures here (had to take with my phone, couldn't do a screenshot for some reason) for "America's Funniest Mod Glitches" please...
  11. You should do a few group shots of all the vehicles you've redone.
  12. Wouldn't be too hard to make convincing I think. Lots of searches in National Parks start at a trailhead with an abandoned vehicle, they use that vehicle as a "point last seen" and work out from there.
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong but as of yet no one has made a hard suction or drafting script so a good workaround would be to put "dry hydrants" where the roads meet water sources. Worth noting that rural firefighting is ALL about water shuttling and that's going to be a hassle if you want realism.
  14. Since there are multiple different agencies on this map some would have different procedures than others, would lead to an interesting variety and realism if done well.
  15. Might wanna just stick with the USFS plain if you don't feel like reskinning it, the USFS would be there and would be deploying air tankers most likely if the fire got that big.
  16. Also worth noting that almost no departments in America are fully NFPA compliant, its just too much expense and hassle.
  17. That's the only ranger patrol vehicle I've seen with a spotlight like that, in a good number of parks rangers are allowed a certain amount of leeway in customizing their vehicles, I know one ranger that has just 2 grill lights and one little dashlight in his rig (and two lights in his backglass) and other rangers with full exterior light bars and full interior light bars.
  18. Hey mate if that's the kinda think you're into you might want to check out "Firefighter Command: Raging Inferno", that game is for PC and features backdrafts and (arguably) more realistic firefighting. As for emergency 4 I don't script personally but I've seen many discussions on it and I think we're stuck with the current fire scripts, of course that used to be what they said about limited water supply so you never know...
  19. My town has about 600 people in it and has one full time police officer with another officer who rotates between police departments in the area to give officers time off. We have a sheriff and 3 deputies in the county as well as assorted state police units that wonder through. The NPS has about 5 rangers at any given time in the county although they stay almost exclusively in the park. We also have 2 game wardens in the county. My town has a VFD that consists of about 20 members of which about 6 are experienced in entry and 1 pumper, 1 rescue/pumper, 1 tanker and a brush truck. We only have one ambulance in our county (in the next town south of mine) so the local fire departments have EMRs that respond to medical incidents. The forestry department has a number of "militia firefighters" and 2 dozers in the county. As you can imagine things can get pretty bad sometimes due to limited resources but we always make things work.
  20. That thing is massive and ungainly, I love it!
  21. So another idea that might be worth a thought is making the local VFD have one or two trucks that are a bit "dated" in nature, usually either a brush truck or a tanker since those are generally the last to get updated and are easy to cobble together.
  22. Looks brilliant! Glad you're still working on this, I was getting a little worried. On a different note I really like that tactical unit, if I may offer a suggestion: Many counties that have such a unit keep it tucked away somewhere unstaffed 99.9% of the time, perhaps this could be done in this mod as well. BUT to keep it useful and realistic that unit would be the only place BCSD officers could change into "tactical gear" and get more advanced equipment like flashbangs and shields. So to bring the truck to the scene a officer would have to drive to wherever its stored and switch vehicles and bring it to the scene. Just an idea. either way I love what you've done with this mod.
