  1. Theres an edit button in the bottom of the post for a reason. Good luck, it is very hard to find any one to do much of anything around here. Everyone that can do things is pretty much tied up with multiple projects. It's not really a matter of conversion, it's about merging the polygons. A modeler would tel you it more efficent to just create a model from scratch then it is to spend the time merging polygons. You can always go on the zmod website and forums. I am sure they have a tutorial on merging polygons there.
  2. I just dont see why they would be part of ICE at all for the reason I stated above. Different jobs. Not saying they werent,btw, just saying I dont see the point in being over seen by ICE. As for the pic, from that distance theres no way to tell wth it says on that badge. It could say UPS for all we know lol. By all means go for it if you want. I am sure people would like to have the ability to add it outside of my Submod. I did USAR88 so you could do USAR 3 like pictured if you wanted. Hell if you want you can do 88 for that matter since this is a different project then mine.
  3. Switch up the transitions, imo. You used the same one every time. Try placing some special effects on some of the clips. All you did was cut and paste them together with one transition effect and then placed music and call it a video. Not bad, but could have been made better. I'd also suggest using more of the mission intro videos. Like at the beginning place a mission video, then show the FFs running to there truck like they just got the call for that mission. That could be done a few times.
  4. FPS are Homeland Security from what I see. Nothing about being a division of ICE. I cant see why they would be a division of ICE since there jobs are rather different. Regardless FSP has plenty of units that could be put in game. Nah you think...really? The Hazmat truck in the game is ALMOST EXACTLY the same, model wise, to the USAR pictured here aside from the rear axel.
  5. Your missing the point, if a game stresses the computer more then it raises the minimum requirements. I'm not saying they have increased substantially but increased none the less.

  7. You dont have to take them from the LA Mod folder, per say, just copy and paste the script to your desktop or some where else and then you have a copy and dont need to take it from the LA Mod and break the LA Mod.

  9. Change the material to EmVehcihle03 or something like that. Its on the traits screen I think. This will make it 100% fire proof.
  10. These are the least important words on a blue screen(BSoD/blue screen of death). Next time look for something like IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQAL or something like 0x000000.   11. Not true. You should be able to just launch the installer exe and follow your instructions all the same.
  12. Do the glendale v3o files use the same name as the la mod v3o files? If so you need to rename the glendale v3o files. I would suggest, for example using the HES files, hes_glendale.v3o and so on. Just the file name. Then use the clone function in the editor to make new prototypes and then you link up to the new prototypes to the glendale reskins.
  13. Sorry but thats not true. First off, CFDs lighting is much harder on systems then any one else's lights because he adds radiation to like 90% of the lights on a model. Don't get me wrong, I love Chad's work but the high amount of radiation causes extra stress on GPUs. Then adding scripts can cause more stress depending on whats in the script. Adding the whole CCC project to the mod has drastically increased the load time I am sure, but I dont think that generally increases anything other then load times. I am sure there are other things as well that increase requirements, but I suggest people try the mod for them selves and see how well it plays.

I mean LA is not on the border so I doubt its real common seeing border patrol in LA. At that point it would likley be an issue for ICE(Immigration). Brush patrol is already in the game, a model EXACTLY like that minus the light bar. Pretty sure we have the exact same helio in game. Engine - This is a KME Engine. As it stands there are only 2 in service that I know of, so it may be a bit soon for that. USAR- Is basically in the mod already as a Hazmat. I imagine this is because it needs to carry much heavier equipment then the hazmat truck.I have included the USAR version like pictured here in my upcoming submod, but Ale is welcome to do his own reskin and include it.

  16. Ok another thing, look at Hoppahs sirens script, its much more organized and doesnt need you to list the siren after each unit. As for the problem, are you using sirens you made yourself or from another mod? If you made them make sure the wav files are in MONO not stereo.

  19. Go back and read the second page of hoopahs announcement. You need to use excel(I tried OpenOffice but no luck) to unlock them AFTER you unlock them in the editor.
  20. You havent told the game what prototype is PROTO_FD2 is, look at the other constants at the top of the script like const char PROTO_CHIDEA_SK_HLF[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/Fire Department/Chidea_SK_HLF.e4p"; And you need to to do this for PROTO_FD2

  22. As Tex said, the map will be included. All the files needed will be in an e4mod file just like the last one.
  23. First things first. The error. When the game freezes from the script error, hit CTRL+ALT+DEL(If your on Win7/Vista click Start Task Manager after that). Now you can see the error box. Click the retry button once. Grab a screen shot of that error as it will tell you the line the error is on(sometimes it can be wrong though). Then as for the script, try using something like http://pastebin.com/ so people dont have to bother with stupid download limits and waiting timers to get your script.
