Fix the first all you want...it's pointless. I tried offering a solution. Will it work? I dont know. Try it and see. What's the point in posting more possible solutions if you don't even try them when there presented? For all you know the solution I presented may work.

My guess is that the Fire Dept initially used the First Aid Squad as a fast response vehicle. My guess is Fire was originally dispatched to provide First Responder level care which is maybe a step up above basic first aid. They were pretty much there to get vitals, bandage patients, immobilize the patient if need be, and basic things like this. Not to mention lift assistance. They may have chosen an "ambulance" for the fact they are specifically designed with medical response in mind. By using an "ambulance" for First Aid, it frees up space on the engines for more fire fighting based equipment and it minimizes the wear and tear on the trucks. From the sounds of it, the city may have decided to stop using a private ambulance service, see AMR, and have EMS done in house. They may have found it would be cheaper and more efficient to do this then pay, for example, AMR to provide EMS for the city. I imagine alot of this you already knew anyways but just stating it just in case, and for others who might not.

Depends what you need it for? One thing is for sure, your not paying for the hardware. Your paying for durability. As for the GD vs the Panasonic, pretty sure the Panasonic is designed to take more every day type of abuse. You know little drops here and there, the occasional coffee spill maybe. The GD is designed for military use so it is designed to take major abuse like being bounced around in every direction, hitting big pot holes and stuff like that. Keep in mind the hardware is almost obsolete now. There using Core2Duo CPUs. This is more then enough for thing along the line of what Ricky mentioned with being used for AMR where there more or less just sending and receiving text. The onboard GPU units are not for gaming or displaying HD Video, but for displaying lots of text and simple GUIs then the GPUs are more then capable.

Whats going to be even funnier is when the cops pissed off and gets out of the car and gives you a ticket. I am sure he can find a reason if he really wants to.

I'd say similar is a better word then like. FD3 is fun. Like Tac said, it's all Fire, well Fire and EMS to an extent, but the FF aspect is more in depth then EM4 as you have to ventilate windows and chop down doors to prevent backdrafts.

Nope not p0rn, thats all stashed within just 1 of my 1 TB HDDs. Smart Defrag? I like this utility as well because, although on newerer PCs its not really needed, you can set it to auto defrag when the PC has been idle for X amount of time. My 750 GB Seagate thats about 2 years old died on me, well almost died on me, so had to replace that one. Got another WD 2 TB Caviar Green HDD. It was DOA though. Once the RMA comes in, I will be boosting my storage capacity to 6 GB! 720p HD Rips FTW!

Update on this, the former trustee of Knight Township was sentenced earlier this week in regards to the $70,000+ she stole from tax payers money..the bitch was sentenced to 3 years in prison. She has already granted something like 270-280 or so days served seeing as she has been in jail since being indited. Now keep in mind, in the State of Indiana, every day served with good behavior is actually counted as 2 days. So assuming jail time counts in this regard, I estimate she has less then a year to serve in prison assuming she can remain on good behavior. It's a wonder prison can accommodate her in the first place. This woman, not that she deserves to be called that imo, is so fat, she literally has to take up two chairs. I am not kidding. I used to work security for a friend of mine who put on a Professional wrestling show in town. She literally had to take up two seats. That's not a fat joke, it's the truth. The department is slowly but surely fading. At Midnight Jan 1 2011, Knight Township Volunteer Fire Department officially went out of service. This past weekend, what was left of there trucks and equipment, was officially auctioned off putting yet another chapter in the end of Knight Township Volunteer Fire Department. If any one likes to ponder the idea of conspiracy theories, for better or for worse, this comes at a time the Governor is talking about abandoning the idea of township government completely in the State of Indiana, and the mayor has built a new arena downtown rather then fixing the aging sewer system of the city that is known to flood streets, and even peoples homes at times, during heavy rain. Excuse my ranting, if you will, but welcome the Fed up city of Evansville,IN.

If you need some help let me know. I can help with some things here and there.

Id be interested to know the poly count. You can export it as a 3DS file and I think it will pop up when done and tell you how many polygons it has. Otherwise import the 3ds file in to Zmod and export it as a v3o. The v3o file can be opened in notepad to tell you the poly count. There is likley an easier way but thats up to Mikey or an experienced Zmod expert to tell you.

Its called sarcasm. Nor would I say never..sh!t happens. Anyways the ESU truck looks good but shouldnt the big plow type device on the front extend out from the truck a bit more?

People really need to learn what there doing BEFORE they try to make a mod. I learned this ages ago, the hard way. Anyways, place the vehicle, left click on it, click properties(at the bottom of the editor. Then you can assign it a path. However you have to edit spawn points in order to actually spawn vehicles besides those on the map. Also keep in mind each path need to have a start and an end because if the vehicles loop for ever they can not be redirected more then once. Is this a freightliner cab?

Again it all comes down to where you live. Where as LA carries Extrication tools on there ladders, Columbus does not and simply uses them to help create a safe zone. Where I live aside from 2 specialty stations, each fire house is assigned 1 quint or 1 engine. There is however an exception where one station has the one and only tower ladder in town. So depending on what area of town you live in, a quint will be dispatched even for medic runs. In the case of an MVA,extrication tools are housed on ,that I know of for sure) 2 of the 4 quints in town. So not only are they going to be dispatched for medical assistance, there going because of extrication needs, where as in LA for example, your going to have a light force called to handle extrication and assist in medical aid, here your just going to have a single quint with usually a 4 man screw to handle both jobs.

After removing the mods and the game, try running ccleaner. Both cleaner and registry. If that doesnt work, well I know the solution to this has been posted a few times. All I can say is search because I dont recall what it is.

LA Mod 4x4 w00ds Map v1 Submod Preview
Xplorer4x4 replied to Xplorer4x4's topic in Submods [Not released]
Thanks, I am doing slightly better after getting in to see the Doc this week. Now back to the mod, progress may still be slow as my modelers are quite busy. Helljumper did finish off Quint 9 and get it to me. This will be good news for those of you who do not like the tiller but want a ladder in both stations. I havent gotten around to trying to actually make it a functional quint just yet, if I can even do so. If not it will probably server as a ladder truck rather then a quint. -
False, there are other modifications that do have limited water supply. I am pretty sure Winterburg does as it is currently one of the most advanced modifications released for EM4.

LA Mod 4x4 w00ds Map v1 Submod Preview
Xplorer4x4 replied to Xplorer4x4's topic in Submods [Not released]
No but I will be making one for this submod, as well as maybe one or to alternate scripts. As for the moment, no updates. Theres some hold ups in the modeling department. On top of that, I have some nagging injuries from an MVA about 6 months ago that are severely limiting the time I can spend on the PC.I also have some other issues surrounding the MVA I have to get taken care of ASAP but thats difficult to do at the moment. I wouldnt be looking for any updates for about 2-3 weeks. Nothing major at least. -
You do realize LA is 2-3 hours from the Mexican border right? This would be more of a matter for ICE(Immigration and Customs Enforcement) not Border Patrol. This is why a few people were mentioning the border patrol units are probably the most useless addition to the LA Mod. Now had Voodo actually made the Federal Units Mod that he was planning, then it may have server a purpose.

Orange light as in the traffic advisor lights on the light bar or in the back window? or as in the emergency flashers of the vehicle? Just use the script as it is, and add the command(s) in the editor. Look at the LA Mod for example.

I dont understand german at all but its really not that hard to figure out: Benutzername: Username E-Mail-Adresse: Email(who could have guessed;)) Passwort: Passwoord(who could have guessed;)) Passwort wiederholen: and again, enter your password(who could have guessed;))

I believe you can do very basic missions in the editor alone, but if you mean free play events/mission, then no. Nope that would not work. How would the game know what the event was/meant? Technically if you were to be able to crack the game files and access the code you could reuse the code to give an existing event a new name but that would be pretty hard.

Not to be a grammar cop here but won't or didn't? Weather you deleted the file or the file and registry entries, then the repair option should fix it. If not, reinstall.

LA Mod 4x4 w00ds Map v1 Submod Preview
Xplorer4x4 replied to Xplorer4x4's topic in Submods [Not released]
Yes. that holds true for 99% of mods or submods. As per the ambulance, again, theres really no point in discussing if you liked it or not in the last submod since I released the ambulance patch script which restores the ambulance to the standard staffing of a medic or EMT plus stretcher team. -
Pop the disc in and run the repair option.

You can use RivaTuner to monitor your GPU temps and even increase the gpu fan speed. Not sure it works on laptops and such now that I think about it though. :-/
