[EM4] Los Angeles Mod bugs, issues and problems
Xplorer4x4 replied to Hoppah's topic in Los Angeles Mod
When you get time you should point out these paths to Hoppah, or screen shots for those of us who do custom edits. -
I doubt it would work but you can try to add the command to a vehicle and see if it works.
-
For additional units to function properly you have to script the changes. If you just put them in through the editor they wont return to the FS(depending on the vehicle).
-
For me, no. Load up Araxis Merge and compare my script with the new scripts one by one and good to go, but itd be nice to have them compatible from the start State boys use them on the older vics still, I hate those! The only light bars I really like these days are LED bars for the most part. There may be a few non led bars I like but none come to mind right away.
-
I use them but do think there a bit unrealistic as, from what I understand, there not used that often. Most ffs I have talked to have said there mainly used in defensive situations rather then offensive, but that might vary from department and department.
-
Interesting, thanks for pointing that out. I will have to look at the script and see what I can come up with.

It does have the installer. Just to clarify, I dont think the exe installer is a bad thing, just dont find it to be any easier for entire mods then it is to use an e4mod. I realize ease of use wasnt the only factor, since the EXE offered better compression, but I think its better suited for submods since it seems people find it so hard to install them. Because Hoppah doesnt release a new version every 6 months or so like Winterberg? I cant answer for Hoppah of course, but I would guess its due to the fact most people wouldnt figure out how to get the files from an SVN repo. The files arent changed often enough to warrant an SVN repo imo. Plus we would be flooded with millions of posts about where to put the files when there downloaded.

[EM4] Los Angeles Mod bugs, issues and problems

http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?showtopic=8164 Sorry to tell you but its old news. -
I was aware of the details but none the less, I didnt realize the basket was sealed so it seems like it would be easier(in the case it wasnt sealed) to be able to step onto a platform rather then a thin ladder but i can see what you mean now. As for the tiller, I knew the turning radius was better then a tower but couldnt quite see it in my head so that video was quite interesting. Furthermore the video was amazing at that. 155 seems a bit slow for something like that. I thought most super cars could hit speeds closer to 200mph.

Submod: New Freeplay map v1.2 Released!
Xplorer4x4 replied to w00d's topic in Submods [Not released]
http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/5938/submodbannerfm7.png Notice it says 1.7 and LATER. Are you using this one 1.8 or 1.9? -
But will this disable the unmarked submod units untill we reedit the files? Glad Im not the only one! Indiana State Police is moving to them on there newer vics and I hate them!
-
Indeed, I like the dual rear chassis, looks better and gives better performance in braking from what I read.
-
Speaking of which my step brother in law works for Toyota. We were talking cars last night and he said there actually more American parts in a camry then there is a Mustang.
-
Might be to add variety and not have a extinguisher on every vehicle. Plus in game you dont really need it imo.
-
One thing that iritates me is the radio call saying the suspect is in custody as soon as the officers get out of there car rather then have actually arrested the subject.
-
I have noticed sometimes it has better reach then the tower and other times it does not. Actually there are a few hazmat events just not as many as in EM4 Deluxe. There is a hazmat event in the port area but oddly I have not experienced it so far. Look at other maps and see what to name the people, hydrants, boxes, etc. I hate to be devils advocate but I dont find the exe installer to be worth it. It looks great but hell tbh it wasnt any easier to install then an e4mod file. The installer would be great for submods since some people are unable to follow such simple directions to install the submods.
-
Never understood how not having a basket makes it easier? Seems like it would be the other way around. Those are pretty common in the states I believe. You only see them in high traffic areas for parking enforcement but still very common.
-
No need to mention me lol it was just an idea. Your the one doing the hard work.
-
Personally I like this tiller more: http://cms.firehouse.com/content/apparatus...ville_large.jpg But the point of the submod is realism, not random units from around the US. Even if LA used them ages ago they dont anymore.
-
Great work Jon! Look forward to more updates. Have you considered placing any 4 lane roads? I think its the only thing it lacks.
-
You can fit 2 USAR trucks in FS1, however, you cant say place a HES behind the USAR and have it leave through the rear of the station. Well said Shane, well said.
-
You guys are switching to ALD towers to? I was under the impression all the STI tillers had not been phased out yet.
-
I dont think blood hounds are really used these days. I went to the FF challenge here in evansville last weekend and the local USAR group was there and they only had a lab there and the rest of there dogs were not blood hounds. As for needing more dogs i cant really see a need to use multiple dogs at once.

I cant recall if i ever posted this or not, but the first few times i never noticed it but now I notice it every time since I usually place a Hummer on top of the tunnel. All the easter eggs have been posted if thats what your asking.
