  1. We're finally ready to show off what we've been working on, first glimpse at the full game with a 20 minute gameplay trailer showcasing both the map and new features and units. Be sure to check it out and share your thoughts especially on the video itself to help it gain popularity. The game itself is now at the final beta stage and a select crack team of experienced testers have been selected, we're still not releasing a date but for now atleast you can see what the final product will look like. Disclaimer - Video current of BETA build 1.0.1.4 the team reserves the right to change any aspect of the game prior to release. Hope you like what we've done with the place Dyson, Raf, Mariuswww and rest of NYCERU
  2. Yea I have seen this foam script before. Part that I could not figure out is if you could actually have certain objects that must have foam to put them out
  3. http://forum.emergency-planet.com/topic/5851-wheres-my-editor/
  4. Great work you got here, will be using it in a certain mod. If I may put a suggestion out for a add-on, some trucks would be cool. Rarely have anything american-like to choose from in that category.
  5. Columbine could be considered the first of its kind, where the police took it as a hostage type situation. Alot has changed since then in police tactics such. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immediate_Action_Rapid_Deployment Even my local county police has a emergency plan like this, if there was something happening at a school, the first two or three patrol cars would divide up into like two teams of two and make immediate entry. It doesn't always prevent the damage from occuring, but it defiantly stops sooner. It is also one reason why many places provide assault rifles to officers in patrol cars. In these cases, SWAT or ESU gets there after the fact.
  6. The challenge mission in V3 does not work, I would stick to standard freeplay. Yea
  7. I got it from them a long time ago, and like you I'm pretty sure I got that extend download or whatever its called. Anyways if yours was the same as mine you got this application called "911FirstResponders_DownloadManager". I basically copied that onto a thumb drive a pasted it on each of my new computers, and has worked like a charm each time. Hope this helps.
  8. Atleast around me, any crown vic that you see that is not a yellow taxi is a dead giveaway that it's a unmarked, so having a teardrop spotlight on it does not make a real difference in determining its the police. And unless your going right next to the unmarked unit at night, your more than likely not going to see it on the car. The stealthiest some on the unmarks in the NYPD. I have seen them using everything like honda mini-vans as unmarks and other cars that you would never even look twice at.
  9. Some nice looking units. Its nice to see some re-skins from a place that I have been too, actually its the only place I have gone to in Canada.
  10. Your police suggestions are something I have not seen mentioned, and honestly would raise them up from being a boring chase the suspect. A computer database system to run names and check for records would definitely have me playing as the police. Would be pretty cool to see the suspects getaway and become a bigger threat, and maybe cause increase in crime like simcity? It is, so feel free to throw them out here, you put alot of thought into them and I was impressed that some of these I never even thought about. Good ideas.
  11. I uploaded it so 4shared a couple days ago for someone else who couldn't use mega, forgot to put the links on here. Its now added on the NYCERU general topic page.
  12. All current test have shown that it will run on computers using intel integrated graphics
  13. Yea thats the way it was meant to be played. I can't blame you for being so (BAD WORD) excited.
  14. If you have a problem with the group or it actions, feel free to make use of the private messaging system. Otherwise http://forum.emergency-planet.com/topic/15822-new-york-city-emergency-response-unit-nyceru-multiplayer-group/ is the topic regarding the teamspeak, this one is for anything regarding the BOF mod.
  15. Events are already automatic and random, that is a feature part of the base game. As for the set fire script, it is already in the mod on one of the units.
  16. Yea I got mine through Atari also, and through the link that i got I've managed to install it on three separate computers. Only problem was that the mod installer originally did not work, but I found a quick fix for it on the forum here. (Did message Atari about it but you know how tech support is.....)
  17. Gave it a basic test on a Dell laptop, Intel Family 3000 Integrated graphics, and only 3GB on RAM! So far it has been good.
  18. Some of the larger skyscraper buildings are open building, but there are different as they do not have that enter open house icon. What you to do is zoom inside the building and then click the firefighters to move inside. I would suggest doing the camera hack fix as some buildings will need the enhanced zoom. I pretty sure theres instructions on how to do it out there, or if your running V3.0.5 it automatically does it for you upon loading the mod. 100 posts on here, time to crack one open....not really cause I'm not 21....but....
  19. In your specs folder open fp_params_freeplay.xml (with like notepad) The first line at the top are these: <MinDurationBetweenEvents value = "30.0" /> <MaxIdleDuration value = "15.0" /> The numbers represent the amount of seconds. I'm almost positive that the first one is the minimum amount of time between the events (cause it says that ) which is set at 30 seconds. Not to sure on the max idle one, however, basically increasing these two will slow down the amount of events. For example for Manhattan V3: <MinDurationBetweenEvents value = "230.0" /> <MaxIdleDuration value = "250.0" /> Which is why in V3 it is slower and you normally have more time. I hope this was the answer you were looking for.
  20. Really nice surprise to see a new map texture, will actually feel like being in Montana
