  1. epic xD haven't heard anything from you in a while, pm me if you still want a map
  2. that depends, if the mod you install comes with new dispatcher videos and sounds it is possible. i think you just need to replace your current videos in the right folder. or did you mean somet else? ^^
  3. if they would not be in the first version (what i plan even for submod) i'd add them with the first update ^^ (btw... i'm right now editing the LA freeplay map texture, making spaces compatible with new stations, adding some stuff, etc.)
  4. i just thought about the "submod-option" cause it would mean a FASTER release with LESS bugs. ... and it wouldn't mean that there won't be any updates
  5. ohhh raf, don't get me wrong! you're still in da game bro
  6. uhhhhhmm.... would you guys agree if i'd just make it a submod for LA mod with new vehicles/skins and some map changes? maybe i'll add/replace stations too?!
  7. the solution would basically be to create a new prototype!! search the forums or google it, been described a couple times already
  8. awesome ! thank you ! i already had this post but didn't realize it was hoppah posting the LA mod maps ^^ on your question: save the map properly (right size, right solution etc...) as *.tga file. copy it to random directory where you can easily find it while in the editor (i usually copy it to the "maps" directory of my mods). then open up the editor, load your mod and map (<-if you already got one, freeplay.e4m if you wanna replace an existing texture). go to "edit" -> "floor" -> "import texture" and select your edited *.tga file. last step is to give it a name under which it will be converted and saved as em4-mapfile. wait till it's converted -> done! greetz
  9. hey everybody! does one of guys know where i can download the LA mod freeplay map texture? thx for your help! greetz rett
  10. @ camhesse i guess that's just an em4 problem! place a casual person near a car in the editor... proportiona are always messed up a bit. the helicopter btw looks like an EC135 which other mods got in the same size too ^^ ohhhhh, btw the mod looks AWESOME so far! keep up the good work! greetz
  11. okay people, i just thought about it and i think i'm going with raf's idea! since we know each other from working on manhattan mod i'm pretty confident he'll be able to pack all the stuff together for a playable version. i recently (when i was still working on it) had some issues with making it playable cause it's based on LA mod scripting and the map crashed after i added the new stations. so you won't get a fine working version if i'd release now, maybe forgot to say that! anyway @ raf thanks for ya offer bro! pm me if you read this and we can talk! greetz rettungstier
  12. hey you guys! actually the mod files are kinda "sleeping" on my external hd at the moment ^^ since i finally began to study medicine time is RARE these days. developing pvc mod got already stuck while i was workin on manhattan mod with dyson and raf. i don't know if i'm able to finish the modification soon, so... what i can do is upload all the files i've got done already, like the vehicle files/skins, the new buildings and maybe the map files if you wish! let me know if i should release the stuff i've done so far and if you would be interested! on the other hand this would mean i'd stop working on it! thank you for your support so far!! greetz rettungstier
  13. hmmm... these battalion chief lights look damn familiar if i'm allowed to say that ... authors? ^^ another little advise: rescale the engine textures to double size for length and width before editing them. this way you get a much higher level of detail without needing to re-uv-map the whole thing! as long as you stick to the proportions
  14. why the hell have i decided to study medicine?!?!?! i could use my precious time to make you guys an awesome map ^^ love your mod and will keep following btw
  15. it's st. paul's church which is actually standing RIGHT next to WTC! (null)
  16. lol ... somehow it feels like you guys are trying to get a copy of the mod :)
  17. unfortunately this is a EMERGENCY 4 MODDING FORUM.... and nobody cares what anyone here is doing in his real life. aitor is right! it's hard (telling from my own experience), honestly close to impossible, to finish such a mod without (m)any skills. and it's hard to find skilled people for making a modification too, since most of em already got several projects running
  18. the next problem is that i don't think the light would spin with the rotating part. as long as they are not model related they don't seem to move anywhere! i use a special lighting technique to make rotaries. it's seems to be a lot of work at first but once you got it you can make pretty good looking rotaries. ..... mmmmhhh ... feels like it's stuff for a tutorial ^^

  20. great stuff guys! keep em comin'!!! greetz from manhattan mod team
  21. i'm playin and moddin on a mac too. got xp and mac osx installed so i have to switch to windows for em4 (null)
  22. the funny thing is, i'm on manhattan mod team and can't watch the trailer on youtube cause i live in germany ^^ haha
  23. you're gonna need zmodeler! if you got it follow these steps: (- unlock the model file if still necessary, there's so many tutos about that on the forums, i won't describe it now) - import the ambulance model into zmodeler - select the polygon mode and klick on the model (polygons should get little dots in the middle) - change the 3d view to perspective view (easier to find all polys) - klick on "select" -> "single" - with right mouse button klick select all lightbar polygons ( they change from blue/black to orange - switch to "selected mode" in the task bar (makes it easier to just delete what you want ) - select "modify" -> "delete" - with one left mouse button klick somewhere on the model the polygons should be deleted - do that for every polygon of the lightbar - export the model again (do that two times with overwriting the first export to avoid an "empty" model) thst's it! greetz
  24. that's exactly what i'll explain but it's gonna be without any scripting, just basic editor features. (null)
  25. +++ UPDATE +++ UPDATE +++ UPDATE +++ Tutorial on how to add traffic lights to a map ONLINE! More following! Stay tuned greetz rettungstier
