  1. your zmodeler should have an "import" option under "file" select this open up the right folder and then select and import your v3o. if you can't see the v3o you might have to change which file typse are being displayed in a menu below the one for the filename (null)
  2. i think after all we'll meat up somewhere in the middle of all those suggestions. like i said before, the current issue is a place for the aerial ladder. since the stations are scaled pretty good for every other vehicle , the basket on the ladder makes the whole vehicle just too high for any gate :/ anyway, i'll figure somet out but currently it looks like station one is will have one gate with a little higher opening. greetz (null)
  3. okay ^^ which parts of the game do want have translated? the basic game or just the gui on wegberg mod? (null)
  4. ...and you translated what exactly? and which files? people here are gonna need some more information to help you out buddy (null)
  5. very very nice GUI!! two vehicles left to light for me (one is just adjusting lights on a new model where i already got all lights done)... soooooo.... we're gettin' closer guys greetz (null)
  6. beta testing? tomorrow? you know i've still got two vehicles to light? (null)
  7. @ Dyson why not showing a little light preview on those unmarked units? not gameplay, but all in one place on the map just to give an impression of how those leds look with some flashing colour greetz (null)
  8. yeah, these are a couple of nice ideas. i got a little problem with the ladder truck since i use LA mod ladder on which the basket makes the entire vehicle way to high. it fits in the slots but the height is a problem for the gates at my (apart from that) well scaled fire stations. anyway, i'm trying to find a solution greetz rett (null)
  9. lucky that working on ems is a job with "extended periods of boredom interrupted by moments of sheet terror". so though i work as a paramedic again i've got plenty of time to make all the lights dyson wants to be done (funny by the way that everybody says "back to topic" while not sticking to topic ^^) greetz rett (null)
  10. damn he's right but i guess we'd better keep it a secret till it's "all done" uhhhhh yeah! (null)
  11. lol, you guys are great ^^ car chases still aren't possible in emergency 4 (except chasing a car to arrest person, but it stops as soon as the trooper is near enough) and... -Dyson correct me if i'm wrong - there won't be any choppers in this modification anyway, keep em coming! greetz
  12. okay, i checked it... it is a functional way but it costs lots of time to make it look good i took one of the ccc models, imported it in zmod and exported it again to *.3ds. then i opened it up in sketchup copied and removed the door part (made another *.skp file of it) and exported both to *.3ds again then another import to zmod and deleting all the meshes that are too much (or attach them all to one) re-export as *.v3o and.... viola.... works but i bet there's an easier way to do this in zmod too ^^
  13. whhhoooo... that's a tough one! i had the same prob with an ambulance from chidea. could make seperate doors with zmodeler. hm, anyway, now as i read your post, i might have an idea. i'm gonna check first and tell you if it works. if someone knows how to do it. i'd be interested too of course greetz
  14. use google translate to get the correct terms in greek and then do google picture search. for example: search "asthenoforo ellada" (for "ambulance greece") same with the rest. maybe you'll find good pages while browsing through the pics!
  15. damn cops...! you're going for a modern arts award? got my vote! but seriously, i read somewhere it would be a lot easier to make things you just wanna add to a person as childs and then attach 'em. or is that what you did? if not i think it'd be a better solution for you. greetz
  16. k, then copy, paste and rename the model and prototype files first so you don't mess too much with the original files. then do what i wrote above (and what you already did ) and check all the boxes in the "edit" window (childs, fire, physics etc). look if they got dots or crosses, compare with the ones of a police man for example. if that won't help i hope someone else here can help you ^^
  17. just select the person -> edit -> commands ... then choose the 'move to' command and add it to the list might be possible that you'll gave to edit traits aswell, if you want it to be emergency personal.. greetz
  18. place a corona anyway and scale it down (30-40 for an led light should do), you can remove it anytime by de-selecting "corona". then zoom in and navigate to where you want the polygon. (use mouse, up, down, left, right to navigate) klick on "add poly" klick somewhere on the face (3 times round one point should do for now) 3, with white lines connected, green squares appear... those are the corners of your polygon, you can move them by holding down left mouse button and moving the mouse. you can add more corners by klicking between 2 existing corners. you can change the colour by selecting the poly and editing "r", "g" and "b" values ATTENTION if a line gets thinner or disappears the polygon is gonna have a "hole" on that place if zoom in too much. you can add muliple polys to one light. if you wanna move the whole poly on a face, hold down "left shift" while moving it around. navigation and placing can be tricky, always control what you've done by leaving the lights menu and checking the model from different perspectives. that's the basics... hope i could help greetz rettungstier
  19. i didn't get this real life thing wrong - even though i'm from germany @ raf damn, that sounds nice! hope you'll get it work greetz
  20. ... while adding new childs, lights, making the map playable, adding new buildings, working on other mods, having a real life, etc. etc. etc :D
  21. yeah, that's quite the theory!i'm not a bit into scripting but that's basically what's going on as far as i know. you have to have 2 virtual objects - one that's actually the parking space and one in front of it where the vehicle should make it's turn and and from where it should start backing up.
  22. check Winterberg Mod! RTW (ambulance) and NEF (emergency doc vehicle) Winterberg park like this! afaik is the battallion chief vehicle in standard LA Mod on standard map parking like that to if you press "return to fire station" check that out too! greetz
  23. this is the closest to "real" that i could get 'em if you're too far away it seems to glow too much, if you zoom in you'll see the rotary effect. if i'd reduce the "glow" you would see too much of the single coronas. so this was just a compromise but of course it'll stay a w.i.p. even if the mod is released. i might find a better solution... anyway, i like 'em greetz
  24. that is kinda easy dude! you won't need any script! but it's some work though... you have to edit the unit.xml of every unit you want in the mission to be available. (you can find the unit.xml in for example /Units/Vehicles/Police/010STW - guess that's the folder ^^) open with win editor and you'll see a line of numbers somewhere at the top, those are the mission numbers in which the vehicle is availabe so you'll just have to add "2" for mission 2 and save the file! greetz
