  1. It doesn't matter, anyone with half a brain will read this post and see what you meant. I agree about the van as well, I keep calling Astras or TSG Vans to take crims away. The OC-D
  2. Thanks for the changes but you needn't have put the other vehicles in, we're taling about the mod here. The OC-D
  3. @MusicamanDSP (Prepare for wall of text...) Police Units: Response Cars: (Silver BMW, Orange Stripe) These units contain normal officers, which for the UK means ASP and Pepper Spray but no Firearms, and their primary job is to respond to 999 emergency calls. They can hold 2 officers and 2 civilians in game but police normally carry one suspect per vehicle. Traffic Cars: (Silver BMW, Blue and Green Battenberg) These units contain Traffic Officer who are essentially normal officers but with white hats and fluorescent jackets. In real life they are mainly responsible for pursuits and road accidents, in game their BMW's are slightly quicker to represent advanced driver training. Area Cars: (Vauxhall Astras) The contain police officers who are responsible for a specific area in London, sometimes called a beat. They have lower powered cars as they are not meant for pursuit, rather containment. ARVs: (BMW Sedan) These Armed Response Vehicles (ARVs, also known as ARUs for Armed Response Units) contain officers from the Metropolitan Police's elite Firearm's Unit, CO19. These officers are most likely Authorised Firearms Officers and carry in addition to the 'normal kit' a Glock 17 and can retrieve a Heckler and Koch MP5A3 from their cars. Most carry Tazers now as well. A slight unrealistic representation in the mod is that the MP5s are burst/automatic whereas they are restricted to Semi only as they are authorised "Sufficient force to remove the threat." TSG Vans: (Mercedes Sprinter Box Van) These vans carry officers from the Met Police's Territorial Support Unit. These officers deal primarily with violent suspect and Public Order incidents, they are also the officers who deal with riots. In game they can get a riot shield but unlike real life it is bullet proof in the mod. MarPol Unit: (Land Rover) This is the Marine Policing Unit and contains officers who are trained in diving and the use of boats to patrol the River Thames and to search for missing persons and evidence. Hope that helps, The OC-D
  4. Well, the one on the truck's Gordon, he come from Los Angeles. Then left to right are Jerry and Terry, the brother form Florida and Hank from down south. Then there's Albert, a British Ex-Pat who currently lives in Chicago but was born in Birmingham. Finally, leading the assault is Pierre, from the GIPN, born in Marseilles he currently lives in La Rochelle but is here for training purposes. The OC-D
  5. Trying to think of an interesting Vehicle thats not too obvious but I can't. So, anybody can take this go. Have fun, but make sure its safe fun. The OC-D
  6. A Metropolitan Toronto Police Department Stealth Cruiser. The OC-D
  7. Interested? I can't wait! The OC-D
  8. I do what I do with all of these threads and post this beautiful website: http://www.ukemergency.co.uk/ My area is covered by Thames Valley Police, South Central Ambulance Service and Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue if you really want to search the website. The OC-D
  9. As long as I have enough disposable income, I'll buy both; once my exams are finished I'll be bored! The OC-D

    LA Noire

You play as Cole Phelps a USMC Veteran from WWII in post-war Los Angeles (1947, I think). You start as a Patrol Man with the LAPD and when you get promoted to Detective you work through 4 desks: Traffic, Arson, Homicide and Vice. You are set cases to solve through searching for evidence, questioning witnesses and interrogating suspects. Whilst half way though cases you can answer dispatch if you want to divert from your main case and do some shooting. The game is restrictive if you compare it to GTA but its from the other side of the law, so it should be. Hope thats enough of a hook for you. The OC-D
  11. You need to ensure the engineer is at the pump, the pump is enabled and you've placed valves for your firefighters to connect to. Up to 3 can connect on one valve. A firefighter that is deployed for 'Quickly Extinguish' cannot place a valve. The OC-D
  12. Oh, my computer died so I have reinstall ALL the mods I had...

    LA Noire

Just hyped myself to bursting point rereading the website. COME ON FRIDAY!!!!! Screw you A-Levels, I will have ERS Berlin and LA Noire. The OC-D
  14. Hello, Two quick questions: 1. What's the purpose of the HAZMAT detection vehicle? Is there an event that demands it or is it in for realism's sake? 2. There is a homicide that occurs in the park immediately south-west of the central junction (if looking 'up' the map is North) I can't seem to clear the incident and its happened more than once. I've scoured the area with the Crime Scene guys and normal officers but there is nothing to pick up. Any help appreciated... Thanks, The OC-D
  15. Yay! Small and rural, not a lot happens where I come from, I look forward to it. Can you set the Freplay events to be like one every couple of hours of real time gameplay? Give it the authentic feel! The OC-D
  16. But what would the shotgun do more than the MP5 and generic pistol in the mod? The shotgun is most often used with the Hatton round to blow door locks off or doors off their hinges but short of scripting it to work like a Fire Axe as well, things get complex. Also, CO19 prefer to use Enforcers, Big Bertha's, Sledgehammers, Hooly Bars and Pressure Rams to get rid of doors, they rarely carry the shotgun. The OC-D
  17. Errm, I presume you've downloaded v2.0 for EM4, and you're trying to download a v2.5? v2.5 is for EM3, not EM4, that's probably why it's not a valid package. You need to patch it with v2.0.2 from the LA MOD thread. Hope that helps, The OC-D

    Guess the Game

Gran Tourismo 5? It's a lot newer graphics than 4 and I doubt there was anything exclusive in the Prologue... The OC-D
  19. Also, why is it necessary when most offenders aren't armed and an ARV arrives just as quick as a beat car? The OC-D
  20. What's the difference between a Squad and an Engine? (i.e. Squad 61 and Engine 10 in NYC Mod, 'tis the only reason I ask.) The OC-D
  21. Thanks very much. I thought I had WinRar installed but clearly not. Thanks, The OC-D
  22. I have downloaded the.rar file and can't seem to do anything with it. It won't let me extract and it says is is an invalid file type for me to drag and drop into the Mod Installer. I can't run or open it either, am I missing something? Thanks, The OC-D
  23. Notice how in the first picture the female officer has her sidearm drawn but also has a pistol in her hands (unless its a Tazer...?) So it doesn't look finished yet. However,I look forward to its release and hope there will be an English version/patch released shortly afterwards. Why do the Germans always make the best games....? The OC-D
  24. I'm afraid to contradict this, I like the streets to be clear so I can set up my own incidents without things in the way. As many RTC's as you can put in would be great. Also, more open houses would be cool. The OC-D
  25. Probably Authorised Firearm's Officer's from the DPG or one of the other C0-- that are allowed firearms. I presume you were wondering why they weren't in the Navy Blue of CO19...? The OC-D
