  2. OK, so I've gotten a bit farther now. I rename the files to .v3o, go into the editor, load the mod, unpack the files, exit the editor, and then rename them back to .dds. And then none of my image software can parse the files. Not Photoshop, Paint.NET, nor GIMP.

Several days ago, an unknown force we have come to know as the “Covenant” has arrived at Harvest. Harvest, one of Humanity's outer agricultural planets and a main source of food, has fallen under siege. Within hours, we lost communication with the planet and transmissions from nearby ships have not been appealing. Under the sheer power of this new enemy, and without any knowledge to counter it, we are unable to aid Harvest aside from sending in another task force. Yet, on the capital ship, we have composed a force of our most experienced men and women to fight this new threat. Task Force Thunder, a battalion of soldiers with grit and minds of steel, will be our first line of attack against this new force. And you are being asked to join... This force will be supplied with the best weaponry the UNSC has available, and will be sent in to take the Covenant head on in the coming war. We will hit the Covenant hard, striking supply lines, key planets, as well as high-value targets that we deem necessary to remove. We have little intel on the new enemy, but with ONI working around the clock and gathering intelligence, that will change very soon. Depending on the intel, missions will vary.   7. Just a tip, but the "AMBULANCE" decal on the hood needs to be flipped so that it's backwards if you are reading left to right.

  9. Actually, I have a laundry list of DDS files to be unlocked.   10. Actually, the model belongs to goog1967 and his team. It's Ambulance 39 from his upgrade. I merely took out the LAFD markings and replaced it with markings from my agency. I did not do the striping on the back, that was part of the original skin. Our F-350 has an older paint scheme, but here's a photo of one of our Freightliners to compare. http://www.facebook....&type=3

  13. I'm having some problems unlocking the large rescue ambulance skins from LA mod. I'm doing exactly as the tutorial in the LA mod section says, except that the files do not show up when I look for them after clicking 'Unpack File'. Could anyone offer a suggestion as to why this is?
  14. I'm trying to unlock the LRA files and must be doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what. I renamed the three files to large_rescue_ambulance1t.v3o, with the two others being 2t and 3t. I then load the mod, go under 'unpack file' and then do not see the files. I go into the correct directory, but the renamed files do not appear. Could someone offer a suggestion? EDIT: I got it to where the files were unpacked, and then renamed them back to .dds. Then I try to open with Photoshop, only to be told that Photoshop cannot parse the file. The same happens when I use paint.NET. Any suggestions?
  15. Anything in the base LA mod is good to be edited. Just watch out for submods.

  17. Since the DDS converter apparently does not work on Win7, and the GIMP DDS plugin is not working for me, could someone recommend a free DDS converter?
