I thought the green lights on the cfd vehicles was a nod to the city's fishing heritage?

That's probably why..... Although sometimes with other mods and sometimes this mod when I initially load up some of the vehicles are missing and can't get them to work..

Hmmm that's strange, ive never had that problem before. if you get the problem still post your logfile.txt and some of us might be able to see what is causing the mods not to load completely.

Sorry to be picky and I know your busy but I tried loading up Kent mod today and the vehicles have no options like I can't turn the lights of or move the vehicles at all. I've reloading the mod and reloaded EM4 but still no avail? Any ideas?

Did you load a mod before loading the Kent mod? If so you will need to exit the game and load up just the Kent mod and it should work.

I have never seen that before
Currently on holiday in Wales, but where it says HEDDLU
POLICE
on police car hoods I have always thought that HEDDLU was the area; seen as though I live in Kent, England; but it was only today while driving that I realised heddlu was Welsh for police as everything else has English on top and then Welsh on the bottom. Doh!

I didn't know HEDDLU mean police myself and I watch quite a few different police shows lol.

I have played god knows how many hours on the default map with various mods and I've never got it before. I thought it was only part of the deluxe version of the game.

Easiest way to do it is to name all of the vehicles on the map and put them into the free play script which turns off all of the lights on start of gameplay.Vehicles will start without lights on with the new map, the script used needs a lot of work done for it to work with mods and I haven't had the time to do it yet - The same two scripts control the units in vehicles on start.
As for vehicles being called out I have already started doing them but once again I didn't do it for the releases because it will take a long time to do (As it's not just adding them to the list but also making all the images for them and the same for all the personnel).
I was going to tinker with it myself but I've not got around to it yet.
If you would like I can give it ago and post it here when it's working, until you release it officially.

Does anyone know where the speed is defined when adding new units to the map, it's not the unit folder because there placed in the editor.
Go to scrpits/game/mission then open the free play.xml the speeds of the on map vehicles are in there. Make a back up copy of that file though in case it doesn't work.

Mouse over the top-right corner of a category (blue bar @ the top of them) and you can minimize them with the - symbol that appears, hit the + symbol to make it visible once again... Only works for whole cats, not individual subcats, but it's better than nothing.

Ariel Ladder Platform = ALPI love the push-to-talk two tone beep on the radios, don't know why but have some sort of addiction to pressing it. Cool radio sounds.

This would be good! Is it possible for us to hide the other forum sections when we log in? for example I only use the la mod, em4 & off topic sections. The others just tend to get in my way lol.

There was an alp in the old Chicago mod and there was a working script for it, but it died and never got released.

Station 1 and Station 3 on scene of a structure fire
Police reporting an alarm sounding at a local business, fire chief gives it the all clear after no evidence of a fire.
Reported suspicious package at the car wash. FCPD & FCFD on scene. Package was cleared of any danger.
Station 1 on scene of a house fire. Station 4 responded after a 2nd alarm was raised after fire started to spread.
MVA with entrapments, stations 1, 2, 5 & PD on scene. 5 victims sent to the county hospital for their injuries.

An idea I had for editing mods was combining this mod with the Welfordshire mod, the Police officers look more high quality and I love the ambulance command system, never seen it before. I'm also thinking about replacing the lockers for the fire department and replacing a few textures. One problem with welfordshire was that none of the Police events apart from (rarely) pickpocketing and rabies alert worked, so I would have to add a few events lol.
I had the same idea (sort of) which was to use the London mod map and then use the Welfordshire vehicles, but I could never get them to work properly, I used to have problems with the personnel disappearing when they would change clothes or connect a hose to the engine :/ which is why I did my Blues & Twos mod lol.

Lol not had a look through all of the vehicle traits, but you're a man of your word so I'll let you sort it out for the next update. I will get around to playing it somewhen been abit busy tinkering with other mods.

Yesh, its done in the editor. It saves alot of people from ragequitting because the vehicles which are 3 miles from a fire won't explode haha. But yeah change the material from this:

And now the vehicle will be fireproof.

another small bug i've found I don't think has been reported yet but does not actually affect the gameplay but is when hitting exit freeplay to main menu to say restart cause a unit blew up etc it crashes to desktop instead of the main menu
I think that's a PC specific issue as that used to happen to me with my old PC but not new.
Yeah it happens on a few mods, mostly London, Mayberry, Fairfax etc seem to do it. Easiest way to stop your units blowing up from fire SEE IMAGES BELOW FOR HOW TO DO IT. Then just repeat for all the other vehicles you wish to be fireproof.
