  1. These are actually used to lift the pallets out of the IRU (https://youtu.be/bPmujyXXvoQ?t=3m31s) but there will be a USAR module for a prime mover that will feature a bulldozer type vehicle :)

To be finished tomorrow - Hope the forklift looks alright to everyone (I might make the prongs[?] higher).

I see :D so there will be different modules we can use then? Looks fantastic mate, can't wait to see how TACRfan lights it.

  2. We made a lot of process lately, but unfortunately we decided to put the mod on hold for an undefined amount of time, perhaps forever. We already worked out many great new functionalities which weren't shown on screenshots yet and tier 1 of our mod was already playable. MikeyPI handcrafted tons of new beautiful vehicle models and I took care of the scripts, the map and great deal of the objects and buildings for the map. That said, both me and MikeyPI have a feeling that many of our added stuff will be jacked without any regard once we release the mod in public.

We've put massive time in it, but under current circumstances it'd hurt more seeing it torn apart and nobody giving a damn of the massive time we put into it. We apologize to the people who are serious about just happily playing it as an end-consumer and the mod-creaters who do give a damn about the source of the original content.

That is understandable though as soon as you release something on the internet for the public, everyone has it and starts tearing it apart but then if its not released it "hurts" the people who were looking forward to playing it. Its a no win situation. You release stuff and your creations gets copied/stolen etc, if you don't release it you get lots of disappointed people.

At the end of the day, it is up to yourselves as the content creators whether you wish to release your mods. You put the time and effort into it, but then only to have it ripped off you and someone is claiming its theirs.

Not sure if that made much sense... I've been up since 5am lol.

  3. There are many reasons as to why people start and then stop mods. It could be because of time constraints with work or personal life or school, it would be that they lost interest or simply didn't have the skills/confidence to produce a full mod. People don't get paid to make mods, its a hobby or something they do if they have spare time. Also have you tried making a mod for EM4? Do you know how long it takes to make one?

Using the Fairhaven City mod I was working on (edit of Bama's Montana mod v1.2) as an example, when I started it I was unemployed so I had all the time in the world to do it, but I started a new job where I was working full time on shift patterns and I didn't have the time to finish it.

But I can understand your frustration though, especially when you have been waiting a while to play said mod and it gets abandoned and never finished. I can name a few but I won't lol. Just keep in mind that people do have lives outside of this game/forum, real life comes 1st before a mod.

  4. The bolded part is ultimately what we're trying to make come to an end with this campaign.  The hope is that if everyone credits clearly and properly, it will be much easier to track down who is responsible for a work, thereby ensuring crediting is done properly...  When it comes to general game play it is unreasonable to expect you to credit every single person in a post for a 5 minute video, but it should be correct for a released modification.  We also feel it is not unreasonable to have the credits when "showcasing" a vehicle, structure, whatever...  Someone made it first, please just take the time to track down who it was that made it possible and just say "yeah here is my rework to make it XYZ thank you to  bob for the model, bill for the lightbar, and joe for the pushbumper, I am responsible for the new lighting and skin reworkings"

Something that simple goes a long way in giving credit where it's due, makes a log that anyone else who wants to use something can source to know 100% who made the stuff that is in your mod, and ultimately  ensures you get proper credit for what you did exactly as well.. It's a win all around with far less time invested to credit correctly than to have to make the content from the ground up.

Hopefully in time this will become second nature as it was in the past for people to credit things clearly which ultimately improves the whole community by making sure people know who's done what.

True I mean it was a quick edit as I had not long been home from my night shift. I actually found a PDF file in the London mod which lists the names of all the different modders who contributed to it. Which is helpful. But I do understand that credit should be given where its due. Especially if its not your original work, I know that I wouldn't like it if someone claimed my work to be their own. Like you said hopefully adding the correct credits will come as second nature to new mods.

  5. If you post a picture of something in a showcase form, such as a single unit, (or a couple) then you should credit the author. It's a little upsetting when I spend twelve hours on a unit, and see someone slap a reskin on it, showcasing it as their work. Now if you made a full reskin mod, and didn't release it, but did a gameplay video, I don't expect a full list of everyone. This is mostly just for showcases, when people are making it look like they contributed a lot more to it than they did. If you made a reskin, that's fine, and if you want to show it off, that's fine too, but if you're doing it, just be cool about it. Give credit where it's due. I know I'd be hurt if someone posted my unit saying "Look at my new Charger" when it's just a reskin on MY work. Just say something like "Here's my RNC skin on itchboy's charger." It's simple, doesn't take that long, and it's fair.

    EDIT:

I changed the first post to include a FAQ section, of questions I've answered here and around the forums (especially PMs, where you can't see them)

Thank you for your answer, I showcased vehicles/personnel/map edits in the London mod edit I have been working on. But I had also shown gameplay of the edits too. So I have gone through the posts with videos/pictures and updated them with the credits for the mod creators. If it needs more credits let me know who and I can add them as I don't really know what things belong to different modders.

  6. The mod is being extracted into the main mods folder. I Have been using/installing/editing mods for a good 5-6 years... I'm not that stupid thank you... I have tried deleting the original mod first, cleaning the registry, then installing the new version that didn't work. So I tried renaming the mod folder (and the EM4.info file)... Nope still didn't work. This is the 1st time it has happened to me so I don't have a clue what is causing it as I have 2 versions of several mods (Montana, London, LA) and they work perfectly fine.

  7. The page was not deleted it was hacked by a German kid. The owner is aware of it but he is extremely busy so it will get resolved when he gets to it if anyone needs any of the downloads just message me and I will provide you with the links

Thanks for letting us know :)

  8. Thanks for your quick reply and help but it happens on every single set of traffic lights.....i will try to find out

    Thanks,

    Ryan :holdglass: :holdglass:

No problems :P Ah its on all of them, there is a topic to fix that, its were the lights change to quickly and vehicles can't get through.

Have a read through here: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/topic/14511-vehicle-traffic-freezes-in-911fr/?p=198135

MikeyPI has done a little walk through on how to edit the traffic lights. Hope this helps :)

  9. My EM4 editor craches when i try to edit children of the ford taurus from itch

It depends on your computer if you have a fast pc it will only pause for a little bit, but a slow system it will take a while to load everything. Have you tried leaving it for a few minutes? Don't worry its not just you, I get when I try editing childs on vehicles.

  10. The police lights look great :D you mentioned that you removed some of the police vehicles. Is it possible to get a list of what is available to use? As I know in the current release there is about 12 (I think) to choose from.
