  1. I would like to know all of the easter eggs on the map, I've searched and want to know all of them.

These are the ones I currently know...

    1. The BC is named Mike

    2. The tags of many fourm members in the LA river:

    a.Hoppah

    b.Mike

    c.Voodoo

    d.EM-P site

    e.ect...

    3. The guy (MikeyPi) at the liquor store, sets his car on fire...

    4. The guy working the crappy car...

There are probably more so I thought I'd ask for the rest...

    Don't forget Hoppah's gold.

  2. You can change the resolution of the game manually. Go to the directory where your game is installed and open the file called em4.cfg. Open it in notepad or something. Next, hit ctrl-f to bring up the search box. Type r_xres and hit enter. It should take you to an entry called <var name="r_xres" value="xxxx" /> right after it should be an entry called <var name="r_yres" value="xxxx" />. Change the numbers in the quotes to your screen's native resolution. Make sure you save the cfg file when your done.

For example, for a resolution of 1280x720 you would put 1280 as the xres value and 720 as the yres value.

  3. Billy, grab something called universal extractor, it will alow you to unzip the exe file for direct access to the files, or you can point the installer to your desktop and it will install the files there and you can get access to them that way.

Thats what I already do. I just though Hoppah could release both formats to make it easier for certain people.

  4. You probably missed the files as350_chp_rotor.e4p and as350_lasd_rotor.e4p located in the following folder:

    \Los Angeles Mod v2.0\Prototypes\Objects\04 LA ObjectChildren\

That was the problem, thanks Hoppah.

Have you ever considered releasing patches in zip format (in addition to exe) for people who know what they are doing to manually install it?

  5. Hey Hoppah, I "installed" the AUS and the new patch to my desktop so I could manually install the new helicopters and patch. I got the all three new helicopters to show up ingame, but the LASD and CHP helicopters don't have any rotors. The LAPD one is just fine however. I took a clean installation of 2.0.2 and installed the AUS to it, and all three helicopters work fine. What files did I miss that would prevent the rotors from showing up? I have all the model and skin files, the prototype files, and the unit files in the correct places. I also edited all the XML files to get them ingame. Both the CHP and LASD helicopters do not have rotors in the editor or ingame. What did I miss?

  6. What do you mean by new RAs, do you mean the ones that are newer model fords, or is there actually somthing different about them. Also the point of having the white over red RA as the BLS rig was to make it obiviously different than the ALS rig, so unless these new RAs your talking about have a different paint scheme than the new ones, I don't see the point in changing them. Also, it's not like once an ALS unit gets a new RA, their old one goes to a BLS unit, so the idea of making the old RA the BLS rig isn't realistic.

@ Hoppah: what's going on with the mod?

These are the newest RAs LAFD has in service. They're 2008 models and they took delivery of 35 of them. The white over red paint scheme isn't in use anymore. Sometime in the next year LAFD is getting 41 new rescues.

I think the white over red BLS RA ingame should be removed and a RA resembling the one in the photo should be added. It doesn't really matter which one is ALS or BLS. It might make it easier to people if the new RA was BLS (like the one in the pic below) and the current ALS RA stays as it is. Either way, the white over red RA should be removed since all the RAs in that paint scheme are reserves.

  7. LAFD has 35 of the 2008 RAs. All of these 2008 RAs replaced 2003 models. The 2003 models went into reserve

LA City council recently approved the purchase of 41 new RAs.

So that'll be 76 new RAs since the 2008-2009 budget. I think its time we delegated the white over red BLS RA to reserve status and replaced it with a new model. The current ALS RA can become the BLS RA.

  8. Not only the trailer but, even the EM svc vehicle has an additional Icon to key for left lane and another for right lane as well as the one we already have for turning the vehicles completely turn them around. Or maybe 1 key, you hit the popcorn.gif key once for turn back and hit twice it will turn left lane or 3 times for right lane.

I think the Utility support vehicle could use a directional device and also a Siren. Why does the support vehicle have no siren anyway?

You mean the CALTRANS van? It doesn't have a siren because it's not an emergency vehicle.

  9. Did you even bother to look at his samples before you replied? His work is unlike anything I have seen for EM4, and secondly, theres only been 3 serious light packs ever released here counting this one. There was mine, but that was just filler till PRL was fixed. The other is supposedly based on "real lights" from LA, this isn't. There was Tony's Lights but this was never based off LA.

Why? We already have Project "Reality Lights," so why not have something unique rather then a copy cat mod?

Project "Reality Lights" is a joke as far as realism is concerned.

A realistic lighting submod would be unique seeing as there isn't one yet.

  10. Not all of them, some however are near replicas. I've watched some clips here and there and incorporated some ideas into the lighting, but I can't say that accuracy to the LA area was the primary goal of the mod. The primary goal was realistic looking lighting overall. That is something I've been considering for awhile however, and it wouldn't be very difficult to do...

    Occram~

It would be really cool if you did make them as realistic as possible. The original LA mod lights are somewhat close but nowhere near perfect.
