  1. yas to both changing the alarm sounds and what trucks you have in station 1, although I don't really know how to do either, but I think there are tutorials on that. Also, I think what you saw was an older version, because before you could use the deck gun on the engines, Hoppah did have the water tenders in station 1.

The foam tender was in FS1 prior to version 1.7.

  2. There won't be any other helicopters because animating a helicopter takes way too much time. We're talking about processing almost 40.000 lines of symbols, just for the new animations. Did that 3 times (Blackhawk, EC135 and AS350) now and I am never going to that again.

Dang. Does that mean we won't see a Bell 412 as a replacement for the current LAFD air ambulance?

  3. I know, but that's when it is recognized as moving, not if it's being pulled.. Right?

And the way you had takes delivery sounded like poor english and threw me off.. I just always called it gets the truck.. I don't use fancy terms.. Scares people away

I don't how it would work if the trailer has the command and the cab has the move command. I'll have to test it sometimes.

  4. Well I don't know what you mean by that comment then...

And you need to put the command on the installed trailer.. If you put redirect on the unistalled, correct me if I'm wrong but it would be redirecting traffic as it moves.. Which would create a black hole, and would be then end of the world

*makes mental note to try this on Dec 21, 2012

The term "takes delivery", means that the company or organization that ordered the vehicles receives them to start using them. The vehicles are "delivered" by the manufacturer, and the company that orders them "takes" them.

The redirect command only redirects vehicles when you click the command to activate it. None of the vehicles with the redirect command redirect vehicles while moving.

  5. it was in the gulf war.

and if you would read my previous post correct.

you would see that Iran did have the F-14 fighter jet.

And the fear of them ENTERING the war was great, great enough to strike fear into the hards of the soldiers.

But i will try to find a to confirm it, and update when i got it.

Excuse me, but if you did a shread of research you would find that the shootdown of Iran Air flight 655 took place in 1988, during the Iran-Iraq War. The USS Vincennes thought it was an Iranian F-14. Now the only two operators of the F-14 at the time was the U.S. and, you guessed it, Iran.

  6. For some reason I don't see him adding in the KME engines that aren't even out yet... BUT that's just me..

As for the tiller redirect, if you don't put the command on the trailer it won't work as intended, put it on the installed, then when you deploy the tiller, you can redirect traffic

I said "once LAFD takes delivery".

The uninstalled trailer has no commands, it was designed like that for a reason.

  7. It's possible, but it requires a ton of script editing and editor work. You need to place all sorts of virtual objects and reference them in the various firestation scripts.

@ picicch, it would most likely be an assessment engine or a light force, an RA, possibly a brush patrol and maybe the EMS captain.

  8. In regards to the broken laptop most likely the hard drive is still functioning properly. If you can take the hard drive out of the computer and connect it to another computer you may be able to get data off of it. I had to do that once but all the data was corruppted so I had to use a file recovery program.

  9. In order to get the jaws of life I think all you would have to do is add the command to the respective units in the editor. Using a stretcher might be a little harder as Hoppah made the script. It may only apply to firefighters.

In order to add the MP5 to different you have to edit the "getMP5" script. Make sure to equip the vehicle with flashbangs also as the script checks for that.

@ DuxburyFD, any of the LA mod equipment (MP5, M4, flares, cones, etc. etc.) is not assigned in the editor, but rather in a script. Only the EM4 equipment (axe, hose, flashbang, etc. etc.) is assigned in the editor.

  10. I've done a little more research and I've discovered that all the personnel at a firestation with a squad are HAZMAT trained. So in essence, if a firefighter has a 4, 48, 87, or 95 on his helmet you know they're HAZMAT certified. The reverse of the paramedic is a possibility but not perfect. I've seen photos of LAFD firefighters fighting fires with only the jacket on but I've never seen them with just the pants (except for a medical run). Currently the firefighters in the mod have an abundance of numbers on their helmets. The firefighters and paramedics have 101 on their helmets, but station 101 is way down by the port of LA. The battalion chief and EMS captain are from battalion 1 but battalion 1 covers downtown LA. If and when I edit the firefighter skin, I'll most likely change the 101 to a 4 because squad 4 is in the squad in the game.
