  4. Is config file set to read only? Fraps shouldn't cause problems. I use it with EM4 all the time.
  5. I would use the truck's master stream a lot more if it had a longer range. I've tryed tinkering around with the extingush script but I couldn't make the range longer. As for the vests, I've always thought that LADOT should be modeled in game. I know you have mentioned that LAPD doesn't respond to non-injury traffic accidents. You could use the regular cop (from EM4, without a gun) as a base and remove the "place detainee in vehicle" command so the LADOT personnel can escort but not arrest people.
  6. The first set of lines may be correct but the second set of lines are definitely wrong. The road is going from three lanes to two. The two lanes are shifting over, not merging. If you look there is the white diagonal striping indicating that there is only two lanes there.
  7. I beg to differ. In the US those lines would not be there. I don't know if you are basing the map off of European roads, but if you are modeling a ficitional part of LA those lines should be removed.
  8. I also use a BC hotkeyed to dispatch units. When initial the alarm is sounded, I take the BC that is called have have him stand in the back of FS1. I then send the EMT driver for the BC and back into the station. I then sound the alarm again and I get another BC and a EMT to staff the SUV. I usually have 4 regular LAPD cars patrolling the map with two cops each. Like MikesPhotos I send a LACo squad with 2 PMs and a diver to the SE corner to man the boat. I also have a unstaffed PD helicopter and a air ambulance staffed with a PM stretcher team on their respective landing pads.

  11. Good, when this map comes out we will have a map that feels more like a big city. The 911FR freeplay map doesn't give me the feeling of being in a big city. I like something more like the drug deal (mission 3) map or the other drug deal map.

  14. Anybody here played Tom Clancy's EndWar yet? esp. for PC? I hear it's supposed to be pretty good. They say you can play the whole game with voice commands only. I know that the game is set in the not too distant future but does it have laser guns and stuff like that?

  16. Mike, is it realistic for the USFS engine to carry jaws? I doubt they would need them fighting forest fires.
  17. I think the reason the second patient was done away with is because of the new EMS system.
  18. If you look the the left of the group numbers on-screen you'll see a button with some people on it. Select your units, click the button with the people on it, and then click the number you want assigned to them. After you assign them you can use the number keys to select the group.
  19. What about your video card? I upgraded from a GeForce 6200 to a 8500GT and it made a HUGE difference. Also, are you running your screen at its native resolution? I was running my 19" monitor at 1024 x 768 and the game was slow. Changed it to 1440 x 900 and the game ran faster for some reason.
