  1. What I ment was the medical related units plus the patrol car. If the EMS supervisor could call all the fire units, wouldn't that negate the battalion chief?
  2. Section 3.5 of the manual, calling vehicles, seems a little confusing. Under the list describing the call commands, the battalion chief and the paramdeic captain are listed together which leads to the confusion. The list says that the paramedic captain will be able to call all fire department units as well as the medical units. I was under the impression that the EMS supervisor would only be able to call ALS and BLS ambulances, air ambulances, and patrol cars.
  3. What if a single EMT or PM could get a stretcher? All they could do is push it around. The second person on the RA would be a regular FF/PM or EMT. When you want to transport the patient you select the single FF/PM or EMT and right click on the PM/EMT with the stretcher. The FF would then join the stretcher team and they could pick up people and heal or stablize them. It would solve that problem of the extra PM/EMT and would be more realistic.
  4. My understanding of all this hubbub. 1. The state police (and I use this term generically) in California is the California Highway Patrol. 2. The California State Police was merged with the California Highway Patrol to become one big statewide police force.
  5. Me too. I'm already planning out how I'm going to respond to that mission. @ Hoppah. I was reading the manual for the umpteenth time today and I noticed the descriptions of many (but not all) vehicles say "the (insert vehicle here) transport X amount of personnel". It should say, "the (insert vehicle here) transports X amount of personel". It should not be capitalized either. IDK if you've changed this yet, thought I would bring it up since it wrong in many descriptions.
  6. What does any of this have to do with the LA Mod? Admin please move the whole shebang to the off topic section.
  7. Yes, but the equipment picture is of the originial EM4 paddle style traffic "wand". Not sure if it's been changed for 1.7.
  8. LAX crashtender should carry the jaws. It makes sense that the crashtender would carry them to cut people out of airplanes (even though there's no such thing in EM4).
  9. lol I'm gonna say its British. When I was in London all the cops wear that kind of hat.
  10. @ thossi, I googled BIA engine 562 and the first hit came up as what I was looking for. Anyways, here's mine. It's from my state. I'm looking for the department and the city. P.S. sorry for the quality, I was on a bus stuck in traffic when I saw it. I got one good shot but then the bus started moving. I would put that shot up but it would make it too easy.
  11. Units. He added a whole section for LACoFD.
  12. Hoppah, any chance 1.7 is coming out tomorrow? I've noticed you've updated your website and since tomorrow is September 11th I thought I would ask. P.S. Seven years already, gee whiz it didn't seem that long ago.
  13. Hoopa Fire Department, Hoopa valley tribe, Hoopa CA
  14. Mike, who is trained as divers in the LAFD. Are USAR guys trained as divers? Or are the guys on the swift water rescue trained divers?
  15. Damn, it looks like 5-581 or something, can't quite make it out.
  16. Hoppah has stated the reason he's kept the extra FF/PM on the RAs is so it is easier to defibrillate people. My issue with this is then three people have to staff the RAs.
  17. I was wondering about that too. And Hoppah, why did you decide to stick the extra PM/FF on the RAs? You've just made a radical change in the EMS system to reflect the real procedures of the LAFD. Why stop now for the reason of "original gameplay". If I wanted "original gameplay" I wouldn't be playing this mod. There is nothing original about your new EMS system, let alone your mod. Isn't that what it's all about? Being different? Realistic? Unoriginal? Being the "premier United States of America modification"? I for one will be changing the staffing of the RAs the moment I get my hands on 1.7. I'm sure many others will be doing the same.
  18. You don't need to create anything, the personnel is there. Just rename them to something like health worker. Then they can staff the MCU and the RC Hummer.
