Folks, I’ve got a project here I’m very excited to share with you all. Just about two years in the making, in quiet group chats and google drives, I am very happy to officially announce Project NYstalgia, a mod themed around New York City circa 1993. If you’ve followed me around on Discord since 2021, you might recognize this as “that private edit I was messing around with.” Well, since then it’s been torn down and rebuilt more times than I’ve bothered to keep count of. A few times, I even got damn close to shelving the whole project. But, I get by with a little help from my friends, who have pestered me and made sure that this mod stays in my head. There are many people to be mentioned, but I need to give a particular thanks to @mercurygrandmarquis1 and @Jules617 have provided invaluable research assistance, @Newfoundking has taken some of the load off my shoulders with lighting, and @itchboy has provided a majority of the models. This project is to blame for why Edgewater and Hill Street Blues have gone belly up recently. My focus will bounce back to those, eventually, but I’d like to see this through all the way. Hey everyone. I want to take the time to introduce myself. Ive been a member on EMP since 2007, Longer than most of you have been alive. But I wouldn't say I'm an active poster until now. I am the primary researcher for the NYPD and EMS side of this mod as well as doing some of the skins for the vehicles. Aside from being a member of the mod team here I have been a first responder in NYC for many years. I am also in the process of restoring several police cars and I collect and restore vintage emergency lights and sirens some of my collection may make it into the mod. If anyone has any questions about NYC police or EMS vehicles from the 70s to now feel free to ask in this thread!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year So guys it is that time of year again, another year is nearly done and a new one on the horizon. The Essex mod team would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy new year we also wish to thank everyone for the continued support and interest everyone shows towards this project, it's always encouraging to receive positive feedback and is great for the teams moral. We spend countless hours working on this mod all for free, with our aim to make the best/most immersive UK mod ever for the Emergence series. As each month goes past we get a little closer towards a release I'd like to think we will be able to release something within the next 12 months with or without a custom map. It's now time for our latest dev update I have prepared a large collection of photos showcasing the last few weeks work which includes a lot of new map assets which populate an area on the map called the Cedar Park Trading Estate, here local residents + builders will be able spend their money at various D.I.Y stores, there is also a telecoms site which will have some custom vans/trucks but are unable to feature in this update. Amazing mod. As a firefighter who likes to stage scenes realistically in the game the new scripts are incredible. Any chance you bring back the stretcher script that let the EMT/Paramedic drop the stretcher in place and pick it back up? Loved that for the realism, but also with there now being a benefit to treating with more than one provider it would be way more convenient to bring the cot over instead of having to send someone back to the unit. Would also love at least a second ladder truck/more of all police/fire units overall. Couple bugs I've run into are the regular traffic backups that I just debug and when FFs went interior on the courthouse all the units turned invisible. haven't had that problem anywhere else. Then a few things with the traffic redirect script. Sometimes my own units, even when driver less, get pulled into the redirect path Have also had traffic cones start following it Have had cars coming from the opposite direction start following it and then get caught in an endless loop
