Information

The Additional Units Submod adds extra vehicles and personnel to the Los Angeles Mod. A couple of vehicles which got deleted from Los Angeles Mod have been added to this submod as well as a couple of units from Voodoo_Operator's cancelled Federal Units mod. I got permission to take care of his units.

The reason why these additional units do not get added to the Los Angeles Mod is because they are basically unnecessary and useless. Because we do not want to abandon Voodoo_Operator's finished models for the cancelled Federal Units mod they will be released on this way as a submod for the Los Angeles Mod. Because of complaints some deleted vehicles from older versions of the Los Angeles mod will return as well. The submod also includes alternate sirens for the Los Angeles mod.

Besides a new command to deploy the ATF Mobile Command Post the submod does not contain any new commands or other gameplay related features.

Installation instructions:

Double click the .exe file and follow the instructions. Make sure the installation directory points to your EM4/911:FR folder.

Deinstallation instructions:

Delete and reinstall the Los Angeles Mod (and its patches if necessary).

Compatibility

The Additional Units Submod is only compatible with v2.0 of the Los Angeles Mod.

Is this mod compatible with other submod for the Los Angeles Mod?

That totally depends on what files this submod and the other submods change to the Los Angeles mod.

The submod should be compatible with submods which change lights of vehicles only like the Project Reality Lights submod. When submods change similar files you will get compatibility conflicts which might mess up your Los Angeles Mod installation.

In case you want to find out if this submod is compatible with any other submods makes sure the other submods do NOT have the following files:

Specs/freeplaybase.xml

Specs/freeplaybase_mp.xml

Good work, good to see his model's being put to good use :)

Also, side note... Alcohol Tobacco Fire arms and Explosives goes by just ATF, not AFTE... Right? Not sure if that's a typo or not because the units are ATFE but the people are ATF..

Looks like the (official?) abbreviation of the 'Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' is still ATF, so I changed it.

I wasn't sure if that was an error on your behalf, or I was just behind on something, so I figured what better to do than ask you if it was meant that way or not.

I'm starting to really really look forward to 1.9 now... :D

Good question. In the end all you have to do is edit freeplaybase.xml but if hoppah made an exe script to choose which ones to install that would be nice, but i question how easily that could be accomplished. Maybe not easy but would be quite time consuming as I would think he would have to make an xml for every variation of units and that would be a pia imo.

I think he means which ones will appear in the game, meaning if he doesn't install one, it wont show up on the map, and you can't call it from off the map. Now, I'm hoping that when Hoppah says that some of the old units will return, they'll just be added in, and won't replace anything, which is what I think is happening, but I'm not exactly sure, so Hoppah, if you want to clear that up.
