    You can find license plate fonts to download and use. This is what I came up, you can use the drop shadow and outline tools in paint.net to get this effect easily.

    Not sure if there is an easier way, but I typically just look up "(any state) blank license plate". I put it in paint.net and just draw text on it. (picture from amazon)

    This problem has been plaguing many with the steam deluxe version. The only hope I have for this is if we report the problem en masse and grab the attention of the developer.

    Units->Vehicles, find the the vehicle you want and change the dds files that are in the folder.

    Adding to what @Squad 65 said, once you have the object and prototype in the correct place, you need to go into the editor and give each vehicle that you want to have the parking function the "SetParkVehicle" command.
