  1. I thought about that but I don't understand how to animate objects. I'm trying to get a man to hold a videocamera but everytime I select the camera and exit the editor, the man goes back to "idle". I must be missing a step.
  2. Where would I start to find these? I'm not sure what object U is or which door, they're referring to.
  3. I tried to edit some animations on one of my personnell and couldnt get it correct. So I returned everything to where it needed to be. But when I deploy floodlight with the engineer, it cashes to the desktop. It only occurs when I have the engineer turn on the floodlamp and then click another spot to have him walk to it. I attached my logfile but I couldn't quite make it out. How do I read this thing. I copied the last bunch of lines to hopefully see if anyone can help me figure out what it's saying.   4. Dyson, I tried to use the 'holdTV camera' animation but it's not being saved. everytime I view the animation in Editor, the person goes back to 'idle'. Am I forgetting a step?
  5. I know how to assemble, take apart, and edit premade models in Zmodeler. As far as creating a new one from scratch, I have no clue. I was hoping somebody had already created a bicycle. Are there any in LA Mod? I dont recall seeing any there.
  6. Sure. Thanks for that.. I guess not many people use police on bikes... I think our state likes to use them because it doesn't cost to fuel them up.

  8. I would love to see some samples of photos or videos. I hope there would some some mod capability too. But does sound very exciting!!!
  9. I work near our state capitol in California and we have lots of police officers who use horses and bicycles. Has anyone created any mods with police cyclists?
  10. Is it possible to use this stretcher in the LA Mod? I have always loved this stretcher but could never install it in the LA Mod....

  13. When you clone them, do you choose the same model (v3o)file?
  14. What about adding a new person? I followed the same steps for creating a person but my game crashes to the desk everytime I click on my new vehicle.
  15. But don't you still need to edit the paths and reassign the links to the model/texture files.
  16. Is it a different process when adding a new person? I used a tutorial that was for adding new vehicles and was wondering i I needed to do something different for personell since I keep getting a crash to desktop.
  17. I created my own mod and I also added a new person to one of the existing vehicles. I used a civilian to make him a news reporter. I used the file 'civilianman02_blue'. Here's what I did: added the new model with texture files in Models Folder (made sure the filenames were the same) Opened Editor, created the prototype file, linked it with the model files. While in Editor, added traits, commands, talkmic, etc. In Units Folder, went into the Personnel Folder, edited the Units.xml file to show the path to the new person ('civilianman02_blue') In Units Folder, went into the Vehicles Folder, edited the Units.xml file to the existing vehicle changing unit id name In Specs Folder, edited the portraits.xml file to include a new line: mod:Prototypes\Persons\04 LA Tec\civilman02_blue.e4p In Langs Folder, edited the infotexts.xml and portraits.xml file That's all I did. Did I forget something? What happens is that when I start the game, and go to the vehicle list, I click on the vehicle, and the game crashes to the desktop. Not sure what I missed....
  18. I saw the option in the animation panel. I'm just not sure how to add it. I'm totally familiar with adding child components to models and traits, lights, etc... but never tinkered in that part of the editor. Do I just select 'talkmic' and click okay?
  19. So when I opened the editor and selected 'talkmike', I just clicked okay. Hope that's correct. I need to add the microphone to the hands of the person like adding a lightbar to a car?
  20. I have created another "person" in my personal Mod. This person is a news reporter and I would like to make them hold a microhone. What steps would I need to do in order to make this happen. Possibilites: Maybe create a model of a person holding their hand up in front of their chest and then another model of the person not holding anthing? Not sure... Any insight? Maybe their's already a person model that holds something aside from a gun. Maybe use another person that exists? Any suggestions appreciated.
