  1. Can anyone help???? I can't get the Autosiren to work for four of my vehicles. They're newly added. Why do all of the other script related festures work except for the autosiren??? I highlted a section from tyhe Autosiren script document. const char PROTO_ENGINE01[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/fire_engine1.e4p"; const char PROTO_ENGINE02[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/fire_engine2.e4p"; const char PROTO_WATERTENDER[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/water_tender.e4p"; const char PROTO_LADDER[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/aerial_ladder.e4p"; const char PROTO_TILLER[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/tiller_cabin.e4p"; const char PROTO_HAZMAT[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/hazmat_squad.e4p"; const char PROTO_MOTORBOAT[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/swr_truck.e4p"; const char PROTO_CRASHTENDER[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/crashtender.e4p"; const char PROTO_USAR[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/usar_squad.e4p"; const char PROTO_MCU01[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/01 LA Ambulance/mass_casualty_unit.e4p"; const char PROTO_BCV[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/battalion_chief_vehicle.e4p"; const char PROTO_HES[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/heavy_equipment_squad.e4p"; const char PROTO_BRUSH[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/brush_truck.e4p"; const char PROTO_USFS01[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/usfs_utility.e4p"; const char PROTO_USFS02[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/usfs_engine.e4p"; const char PROTO_EMS[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/01 LA Ambulance/cv_ems.e4p"; const char PROTO_AMBULANCE01[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/01 LA Ambulance/ambulance01.e4p"; const char PROTO_AMBULANCE02[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/01 LA Ambulance/ambulance02.e4p"; const char PROTO_AMBULANCE03[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/01 LA Ambulance/ambulance03.e4p"; const char PROTO_AMBULANCE04[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/01 LA Ambulance/ambulance04.e4p"; const char PROTO_DOGTRUCK[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/01 LA Ambulance/suv_rescue_dog.e4p"; const char PROTO_MOTORCYCLE[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/motorcycle_lapd.e4p"; const char PROTO_CV_LAPD[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/cv_lapd.e4p"; const char PROTO_CV_LAPD_K9[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/cv_lapdk9.e4p"; const char PROTO_CV_LAPD_ST[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/cv_lapd_slicktop.e4p"; const char PROTO_CV_LAAP[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/cv_laap.e4p"; const char PROTO_CV_LAPP[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/cv_lapp.e4p"; const char PROTO_CV_UMPC[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/cv_umpc.e4p"; const char PROTO_CV_CHP[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/cv_chp.e4p"; const char PROTO_CV_LASD[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/cv_lasd.e4p"; const char PROTO_LASD_VAN[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/lasd_van.e4p"; const char PROTO_CHARGER_CHP[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/dodge_charger_chp.e4p"; const char PROTO_CHARGER_LAPD[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/dodge_charger_lapd.e4p"; const char PROTO_SUV_LAPD[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/suv_lapd.e4p"; const char PROTO_RESCUE01[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/rescue_truck01_lapd.e4p"; const char PROTO_RESCUE02[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/rescue_truck02_lapd.e4p"; const char PROTO_SWAT_TRUCK[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/swat_truck.e4p"; const char PROTO_WATERCANNON[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/swat_armoured_vehicle.e4p"; const char PROTO_HUMMERH2_LASD[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/hummerh2_lasd.e4p"; const char PROTO_BOMB_SQUAD[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/suv_bomb_squad.e4p"; const char PROTO_BP_CHARGER[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/bpat_dodge_charger.e4p"; const char PROTO_CAMARO_CHP[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/camaro_chp.e4p"; const char PROTO_LAPD_IMPALA[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/lapd_impala.e4p"; const char PROTO_ATF_CV[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/ATF_cv.e4p"; const char PROTO_FBI_SUV[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/09 Government/fbi_suv.e4p"; const char PROTO_FBI_COMMAND[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/09 Government/fbi_command.e4p"; const char PROTO_HEAVY_RESCUE[] = "mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/heavy_rescue_crane.e4p";
  2. How did you fix the siren issue? I cant get three of my newly added vehicle models to use the autosiren.
  3. Yes, I created a mod using the create a mod tutorial. I reskinned and copied over scripts since I kept the names the same. The only names I changed was in reference to the motorcycle since I used a different model file. It seems that all the other scripts work fine though. I checked the autosiren script and the siren script but couldnt see anything that wrong.
  4. I thought it was in the wrong category... not sure where it should go.
  5. Oh, didn't notice that. This was for mods. Sorry about that.
  6. I created my own mod by following the tutorial. It was basically using the LA Mod but just a whole bunch of reskins. Everything seems to work with the exception of the automatic sirens. When I manually turn on the siren, that works fine. But when I turn off the lights and sirens and then move the unit again, the lights and siren do not come back on. The lights do come on when responding from off map but once I turn them, the autosirens & lights do not. The script seems to look fine, is there some other file I need to review?

  8. I certainly don't intend on replacing my experience of EM4 with GTA. Plus, my understanding is that both games are totally different which is understood. But wondering how mod-friendly it is. Is there a Los Angeles Mod for GTA? Seen a lot of youtube videos and it looks intriguing. - Kareem
  9. Are you using a PNG or DDS format for the skin? Switch file types. I had the same problem and changed file types which fixed the problem.
  10. There are couple concepts that one needs to understand when trying to "add" components onto other models. You can't just drag and drop the new models into the models folder. You have to also go into the Editor and create the files there. There is a process to this but maybe someone can list those steps. After that is done, then you go into editting/adding the new model (lightbar) onto the vehicle from within the Editor. But there are basically three seperate things to do: Put new models into models folder. Open Editor, create/import the new models into the Editor. From within Editor, place the new models onto the model - positioning it where it should be.
  11. I just created a news van in Zmodeler. I've added the television microwave mast, satellite dish, and floodlights to the model. I've used a skin that I created and it looks great within the Zmodeler program. But when, I import the newly created model into the Em4 Editor, one small part of the model does not show up. The floodlights are not there. So, I reimported the model back into Zmodeler to see if the lights showed up there and they do. But not in the Editor.... Anyone know what I could have done wrong? I'll post a pic later on.
  12. I'm gonna create a couple of news trucks to use in my Mod but I'm not good at Zmodeler other than dissembling a model and reassembling it to look like what I want. But I need one of those television live feed masts that go onto the top of the news truck. See the attached photo for an example. Can someone create one or show me where to get one?
  13. I'm not sure which script file may be the cause. Or maybe I have not edited the correct one?
  14. If I post the text from the script, do you think that you could take a look at it?
  15. Hey Hoppah, I kept the rider as is. I kind of figured that the rider must have had some special animation element involved in the file. But I was able to fix that problem. The problem now is that once I make the rider get off the motorcycle and then make him get back on it, I lose control of it. In other words, I can't make the bike drive at all. It's like I lose control of driving the motorcycle once the officer gets off and then back on. I can however control the lights and patrol, so those commands seem to work fine with the exception of being able to click in a spot and get the motorcycle to drive there. Do I have a problem with the command script or with the model file?
  16. Does this work for motorcycles? I have a motorcycle that is one of the newer RT1200 models from the London Mod that I would like to use for my own mod. I thought I could just copy and paste all the files (rename all of the associations and edit the files to point to the correct file names) into my mod but seems like some elements are missing....
  17. Can we download this from another file storage site. 4share requires you to sign up.....i really dont want to do that.
  18. I've been trying for months to change out the older Harley motorcycle from the LA Mod and add in one from another mod, London Mod. I'm trying to swap the older Harley for the newer and more current BMW RT1200 one. It seems to do well when responding from off the map. But when I tell the rider to get off the motorcycle, wont do it and then I can't seem to get him back on it. Which files is the animation built into?
  19. I have chosen a newer motorcycle model file (BMW RT1200) which I opened in notepad to see what the code looks like. It seems to include two key lines to me. One which references the skin to the motorcycle and the second line references the actual rider. My understanding is that in order to swap out the original LA Mod motorcycle model file with the newer one BMW 1200, is to ensure that the references within the file point to the new skins and that the file name is the same as the original one. Is there something else to consider? The goal is to simply exchange the older the police Harley with the newer BMW 1200 motorcycle. I also am aware of the animation factor with this file. This has been my method which seems to work fine - until it came time to do the motorcycle.
  20. Where do you recommend I post this?
  21. I know that this has been a topic of discussions from before but I don't think I have seen any results yet. Was wondering if anyone has created a new, updated stretcher? I know that there is the "Stryker stretcher" but it requires a bunch of scripting skills to use. Are there others out there that can just be swapped in to replace the current one? - Kareem
