  1. I attend Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY for a BS dual major in Emergency Medicial Care and Fire Arson and Explosion Investigation. I currently hold an OH and KY EMT-Basic card, and an OH VFF card. I start Paramedic School in Fall '10 as a sophmore
  2. To all of us who are EMts or Paramedics, Happy EMS Week.
  3. It would be abandonment not negligence. Neglignce requires a duty to act, a breach of that duty, and hram arrising from that breach. Abondonment just means that you have left the patient alone or left the patient with a person of lower training than yourself.
  4. They are making free play, one big mission script.
  5. Thanks for picking up my slack ff111, I ended up pulling a 12's the past week and haven't been online. Is it Augusta Maine F.D.?
  6. They echo off the high rises, however, there are some old companies that still have them. I think they are mostly on Staten Island, though.
  7. Are you talking about the monitor then?
  8. From what he is describing he is talking about a squirt company. That is a truck that instead of a ladder has a boom with a nozzle on the end that can be poked through windows, roofs, walls, etc, and attack the fire without risking firefighters life doing an interior attack. Though I have never heard of FDNY having them. The window blanket however I have never heard of. To the harness, I believe that (RIT) is what he was taling about. That is what my department is switching to, we would carry a bag of 25-30 feet of rope already hooked up to the harness so that all you have to do is clip a hook to something and bailout the window.
  9. Actually that should be changed because he romved the release due to more bugs than he expected. No disrespect meant to you NFK.
  10. I beleive that they are planing the mke the fp map a mission map and they are modeling it off of an area of NY, unknown whether it will be manhattan or not. I do know that they said in the closed topic that there will be no freeplay, only the "freeplay" mission map. Hope this helps
  11. I've actually been able to have a FF/EMT pick up that hose then use the rapid undeploy if it is connected to the truck or disconnect from hydrant if not. Just have to click near the end of the hose. Hope this helps.
  12. 1st pic was a Lvl B suit, the 2nd and 3rd were lvl A, the suits in game are the lvl A suits.
  13. My task force is a Report of a Fire Assignment for my home dept. Columbus Fire. 3 Engine 2 Ladder / Truck 1/2 Rescues 1 Medic or the 2nd rescue if HES is closer 1 BC if confirmed add E1, L1, M1, EMS1 and PD Report comes in a as fire at the docks, I send the Fire Boat to the docks and find 1 crate fully involved, so I send a task force w/o the recues medics and 1 of the ladders. Its a crate so no need for search and resuce and I can geet by right? Wrong, dead wrong! Five minutes later I check on the fire, all crates are involved and the fire is spreading towards the barrels of HazMat. The hazmat barrels explode and the gas cloud spreads to involve the entire area. 3 water drops and 2 more fire boats later, we are closer to knocking the fire down. The little blue canaries, however, desided that even though they were told to block pedestrians, they for some reason went in to grab on of the infect and both became casulties. After all was said and done, 20 injured, no dead. 4 cop LODIs.
  14. At LAFD station 2 I have replaced the ambo for the EMS Supervisor, however, I can't get the EMS captain to spwan at the station and when I tried to have the supervisor return to station it says, this vehicle doesn't belong in the fire station. Any help would be appreachiated
  15. Any one know where the dl for hoppah's adjustment went? It was for a full FS1 at start up. I checked in the alterations section as well as did a search but cold not find it.
  16. In FDNY Rescue 1 is trained to the advanced level of rope rescue due to thier response area, however all rescue companies do recieve rope rescue training, it is not to the extent that R1 goes through.
  17. I don't know if anyone has reported this, but the LAPD station has issuses when you call a PD SD or CHP vehicle. If you send the vehicle to a location, then call it. THe vehicle will just sit there at the station and not do anything. This is on 2.0, no idea about 1.0.
  18. FF111 is right, in NYC Rescue 1 would perform a rope rescue , bring the victim, excuse me patient, on to their system, and bring them up to the roof, or whatever floor they choose, no tower would be involved. Except as traffic control.
  19. Many stations in NYC dont have a rear door for entry, b/c there is no space between the buildings
  20. On Monday, March 29, 2010, Firefighter Paramedic John Moore reported for duty at the Columbus Ohio Division of Fire's Training Center, on Parsons Ave. FF Moore was an instructor at the academy and a 34 year veteran of the dept. He was also my vol. FF card instructor. He was found by a co-worker at approximatly 1000. FF Moore will be laid to rest on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at approx. 1330. FF Moore suffered a cardiac arrest. He is the first FF/PM to die in the line of duty in the City of Columbus FD in almost 60 years. This came only a few months after the LT of Engine 16 suffered an AMI in a working structure fire, and was saved by members of is own station. Lt of Engine 16, was revived and released from the hospital a few days later
